Great food, better service

Naxos is a 'must' experience when in the Thunder Bay area! Our food was great, the service punctual, and we didn't feel the pressure of 'up selling' that commonly occurs.

Disappointing

Had the gyros platter, the meat was like the frozen stuff you buy in the grocery store, just heated up..it was disgusting..way overpriced for the quality..$9 for a piece of pineapple upside down cake?? A Thunder Bay gem

I've been going to Naxos every Friday night for a very long time. After 9am they have a "buy one app, get one half price" deal which is amazing. Dinner selection as well as specials are always great. The staff are friendly and make the experience there personal. You need to swing by if you're in town.

Great Server

Went to Naxos for breakfast and was greeted by a friendly smile. I was the 1st customer of the morning. My order was taken by Lori B a lovely waitress with a great smile. Had a hot delicious breakfast and will return again.

Superb Ribs

An absolutely wonderful restaurant with Greek music. A trip to Greece without the cost. Superb Greek Style ribs, pork soulvlaki, Greek salad. Greek caviar, bread, and desserts - galaktoboureko and backlava.

Overpriced, inattentive server

I have been going to Naxos for a while now. No matter when we go we have amazing service and amazing food. Penny and her staff know how to make you feel welcome and make sure that you have a great experience.

Great Appetizers

I stopped here on a Saturday night with a couple of friends for appetizers and drinks. The staff were very pleasant and attentive. Drinks reasonably priced. The server was helpful in making selections and the appetizers came out in short order. I didn't order a meal so I can't rate that. I wouldn't hesitate to go back a second time.

Top Service

Naxos is a family restaurant with the best service. The owners - Penny and Lisa, a mother/daughter team - will be happy to chat with you and you'll soon find yourself part of the family. Kids are welcome. The menu is expansive but I recommend going for the Greek specialties - the moussaka, saganaki, and in-house desserts are great.

Hardly the taste of the Mediterranean

The interior is very old and dated. The food is supposed to be Greek, but I don't think anyone there would know Greek food if it was served to them on a plate.
On the plus side, the staff were friendly and efficient and the place was clean

Consistent Through The Years

Has been several years since my wife had been here, It was as great as we remembered. The staff was very helpful and attentative. Prices were reasonable and quanities were ample. Next time we go that way we will stop.

Relaxing

Casual restaurant. I love the atmosphere, you can come in for a meal or for drinks and feel calm. I always go for the steak and goat cheese salad which is tantalizingly delicious. When I'm with friends I love sharing the 3-dip appetizer; they have amazing hummus and tzaziki.

We recently stayed in Thunder Bay and returned to this fabulous restaurant. The owner Penny met us and we had a nice conversation The Shanna was spot on. If you want excellent food, great service and superb atmosphere, this is your place. The only problem will be that you most likely won't finish your
Meal. The portions are very generous

So.

PROS- Homemade food, family owned, friendly and welcoming atmosphere, very (VERY) reasonable price for the quality.

CONS- complimentary bread can be just a tad stale. Seriously, that's it.
