I love this alterations place
Because I am 5'1, I get pretty much everything hemmed. Dresses, jeans, slacks -- you name it, I've shortened it. I gotta thank Nana who owns the store for my perfectly tailored wardrobe. I discovered this gem of a place a little over three year ago and have been consistently impressed by her work. I get jeans shortened here regularly because the average Canadian is much taller than me... There is a single dressing room for you to try on your clothes. When you step out, the super nice lady will pin the right length that you want to adjust to. More recently, I took my bridesmaids dress in to shorten as well and it turned out fantastic. Her work is top quality work. I seriously love this place and would recommend everyone to come in for any alterations they need.

I really love this shop! I Nana's is conveniently located a 5 minute bus ride from McMaster campus and right in Westdale. The King bus stops right in front of her store, so it's easy for me to get there. Because the store is in Westdale I can do all my shopping and drop off my clothes all in one stop. Secondly she is fast. A few times when I was in a real hurry to get something done, she asked me to come back half an hour from my shopping and she altered everything for me. No one else has done that without charging extra. Thirdly her prices are very reasonable, considering how good of a job she does. Fourth; she is super nice to me. She is like my mom away from home. Last but most importantly she does a beautiful job. She can make it look like it wasn't altered at all, and she can just about do anything. She can make jeans look identical to how you bought them after they've been hemmed. Nana has never let me down, everything has turned out fitting perfectly and on time.
PROS: Fast, convenient, reasonably priced, quality work by professionals.
CONS: Always very busy

I started going to Nana's 6 years ago when I lived around the corner from her shop. Now, I drive 20 minutes to see her because I refuse to have anyone else alter my clothes. I am only 4'10", so I need to get my clothes altered a lot. I have altered everything from simple hemming to making a size 8 dress a size 2. She has always given me her advice and different options when she knows a serious alteration may be expensive. She is very honest when it comes to pricing, and will often give me 1 day service without charging extra. She will re-pin until I am happy, sometimes I am get very picky and take up a lot of her time. She is very patient with me. Nana is the best.

I always go to Nana's store when I buy new clothes, especially jeans. The owner is very nice and my clothes always fit like a glove after she's done her magic :)
