The old saying "you get what you pay for" applies to this motel. The sad thing is with a bit more upgrade it would be an okay place to stay.
The chambermaid we had for room 2 was very nice and the front dek clerks were too. That being said the bathroom was dated, but at least place your toilet...

Old, rundown motel, with thin walls, mildew and smoke smelling rooms and mold all through the bathroom. One lamp in the whole sleeping area with a regular 30-40 watt bulb on a 3-way switch, no mirrors except for a rusted old medicine cabinet mounted above the toilet (not sink) in the bathroom, no bureau except for 3 low, single drawer... more
Reserved a room 8 weeks in advance, looking for a simple one night stay. It turned out to be a very busy weekend in Summerside --so?-- so I was glad I reserved so far ahead. NO ROOMS AVAILABLE when I turned up and the snotty manager made me feel it was my mistake. He did, however, find me another room.... more
I read the reviews here when I went to Summerside for work, I had my concerns about the Motel as I made my reservations a few days prior.
here's a few things I have to say:
1. The staff had my reservation on file and it looks like they train new staff at different times of the year, weather they...

Had I read this sites comments beforehand I could have saved the 17 families of my sons hockey team from the miserable experience we just endured at the hands of this "motel" and it's owners.
He has been difficult to deal with from the very beginning. In Oct '12, I had 17 rooms set aside for our team for a...

Clean enough but very tired. "Free Breakfast" sign permanently hanging from Entrance sign is blatantly false advertising. Nothing of the sort is offered. The best thing I can say about this facility is that a couple of decent restaurants are within walking distance. Very glad the stay was only one night.
I see some pretty scathing reviews for this motel, probably from people who only stayed for a night or 7. I would agree that there are better motels at comparable prices in Summerside for tourists or travelers only staying a few nights, but for folks looking for LONG-TERM HOUSING accommodations (i.e. students like me), Mulberry Motel offers one of the... more
Located in the heart of Summerside, this Motel had decent accommodation and friendly staff. The owner was on hand to see us off and was a decent choice during the heaviest weekend in August. Muffins and Coffee in the morning kept our growling tummies quiet, till we found a Tim Hortons, nearby!!
An old facility showing it's age; decor, fixtures, carpeting are vintage 70's. Room felt damp and musty. Granted, there is a little bit of WiFi and some sort of continental breakfast provided. Would expect to pay $29.99 not $90+ taxes.
When I used their online booking service, I was told the room was $80, and $94.25 after all taxes. When I arrived, they swiped my credit card and sent me on my way. The total charge was $106.03. The guy at the counter said "The city charges an extra 2%." First of all, 2% on $80 would not bring it... more
I would not recommend this motel. We booked our rooms (3) in January 2012 for a motorcycle rally on June28th to July2nd. I was given a price over the phone, then the next day they called and changed the price as they had forgotten to add the taxes. I was ok with this oversight and kept the rooms. In the... more
I had a room booked for June 30 , on June 29 I got a call, they had over booked. Not by one room but by several . They were sorry! Really it's " Canada day weekend" and we have no place to stay. I should have listened to previous trip advisor comment NEVER AGAIN happy Canada Day !!!!!!
Well not sure how this motel actually ranks since 2 weeks prior to travel and 3 weeks after booking into this motel we were contacted and told that they do not have any availability. Now I had sent and email origionally and told there were rooms. I contacted a second employee to book the room and was told there were... more
Stayed two nights. There were not enough electrical outlets to plug in two cell phone chargers. The control for the hot water in the shower and sink was very sensitive and the hot water took some time to arrive at the taps and then was extremely hot.
Only one chair for the table. Room was clean but strong cleaning fluid...

What I liked:
-Close enough to downtown
-Pretty spacious room
-Lady at reception was nice
-Room ready and had access to it early
-Good air conditioner
What needs improvement:
-Found a shoe from previous guests under one of the beds...!
-Only two soap bars as toiletries
-Television reception was bad in the higher channels
-Windows had blinds on them so...

I'm not normally one to complain, but for $88/night, it would be nice to have: A) A room that doesn't smell like the dumpster behind a Red Lobster restaurant. B) A clean bathroom. C) A room that doesn't have the bottle caps from the last guest's visit on the floor. D) Hot running water. E) Walls that muffle the sounds... more
Had to view three rooms before finding one we could set up a rollaway in - which ended up being in the kitchen area. The rollaway when it did arrive, ended up having a wonderful "dip" in the middle. We were located not too far away from town and but not so close to have the noise.
Continental Breakfast consisted...

No bath mat for floor, No top sheet on bed(there said they must have forgot it) , no glasses for a drink, one facecloth, no soap for the shower, free breakfast;consisted of pastries ,coffee, fruit punches, not very healthy
As my first trip to PEI, I was a little worried about selecting a place to stay. Friends recommended the Mulberry, so we called them up and booked over the phone. We were very pleased. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and there was fresh coffee and pastries every morning which we were not expecting.... more
We pulled in after a long day of driving and thought "Whoot! To start with there was no record of my reservation. One terrible bed, and one that was ok, no blanket on beds, just a sheet and skinny bed spread. owners very friendly made to feel very welcome , nice clean room with kitchen convienent to all down town amenities , renovations are looking really great , beauiful new office, new air conditioners are being installed for the summer . when i return this summer with my gran kids this is the place i will stay.
This motel had a nice website so I booked it by phone before we travelled to Summerside.
The outside is welcoming and there it is nicely landscaped, but the inside of the room was a different story.
It was tiny, and very dated. No air conditioning! And our room didn't even have toilet paper.
It was shockingly hot in the...

We checked into this hotel because it was the only one with a vacant room for the night. The next night we were able to get much nicer accomadations. The mattress was stained, chairs were ripped and the bathroom window curtain was a folded up shower curtain. There was a big brown ring around the toilet on a white floor. We... more
