We were expecting to have our socks knocked off based upon all the good reviews here. Not sure if it was just an off night, but we thought the food was very average. The prices were okay and service was good. The seafood bake was definitely overcooked. I could not finish it.
We had just arrived at our B&B (Summerside Inn) and were tired and hungry. Ken our host recommended that we try Miss Daisy’s across the street.
Little did we know that this would turn out to be such a wonderful meal experience. We arrived with a bottle of wine ( they are trying to iron out the snags with the...

The venue fun & colorful, & the food is delicious. It's like dining in a charming country cottage a century ago. And Miss Daisy herself is the cutest greeter.
This is the perfect place to eat for lunch or supper in Summerside. Ian and Judith are delightful, entertaining, and very attentive. The food is all prepared fresh, homemade, and just downright delicious. I often refer people to Miss Daisy's and everyone is always pleased. What else can I say...I loved it!
We were hyped on this place from travel books, but found it just average. Very nice decor and wonderful table settings but then paper napkins! Food was good but chef unable to serve dinner as described. They did a good recovery, tho. Wine service (bring your own) was clueless. Guess we got 'em on an off night.
Judith and Ian are the perfect hosts at Miss Daisy's Bakery & Guesthouse.
Lovely service, great food meeting my wife's dietary needs.
We arrived for an early dinner and were greeted personally by Miss Daisy.
We enjoyed a wonderful meal that included seafood chowder and house salad to begin. We agreed that both were excellent and we would order them again. Our entrees were the curry chicken and their most popular dish, the Bermuda Triangle scallops, shrimp and haddock.. Again, we would...

Our B&B host highly recommended Miss Daisy's and we were not disappointed. Try the Bermuda Triangle for a tasty serving of haddock, shrimps and scallops. The starter salad was also delicious. The small dining room was quaint and attractive and the service was friendly and welcoming. We are returning for another tasty meal during our stay in PEI.
This year found us in PEI on our 50th anniversary. We asked a friend for a nice, quiet place to dine. Without hesitation our friend said, "Miss Daisy's." We had a wonderful meal in a quiet room where we could converse served by one of the owners who was both gracious and courteous. In the end our server presented us... more
My wife and I had an excellent lunch one week ago, and are returning today. We asked the waitress, who was incredibly friendly, if we could get the curry chicken very spicy, and the chef delivered! The chicken was cooked perfectly, vegetables and rice were lovely, and the curry sauce was a blast. Just love spicy food.
The ambiance is...

I ordered Seafood vol-au-vent. It was served over rice, instead of the customary puff pastry, and was delicious. My wife had a Seafood platter, perfectly prepared, nothing fried. We both cleaned our plates. For dessert Coconut custard pie and Lemon merange pie also vanished.
Service was friendly and attentive.
Our only criticism is that there was a small white dog...

We had the pleasure of dining at this very fine restaiurant while passing through P.E.I. The food was tastefully prepared, the service was excellent and the owners stopped by our table and chatted. Being from New York City we appreciated the great meal.. We would recommend this restaurant for a wonderful place to dine. They only serve lunch and dinner... more
We are new to the whole bed and breakfast experience, so I had some reservation going to dinner here after it was recommended by Ken, one of the owners of Summerside Inn, located across the street from the restaurant. We were greeted with a friendly smile, our waitress was absolutely fantastic! Being a waiter myself, I am very judgemental, but... more
No where will you find such a pleasant, homey atmosphere. Owners Judith and Ian (also chef) make a point of coming out to chat with their customers. The meals and baked goods are outstanding. You won't find better cuisine anywhere. If it is a special occasion, Judith will give you a bone china cup & saucer as a gift.

Our B&B reccommended this place for dinner, and what a great recommendation it was! The hosts were very friendly and the food was delicious. Dining there felt like I was home - it was very comfortable and very causual. Portion sizes were great and if you still have room for dessert, their cupcakes are to die for!
This is one of the oldest homes in PEI that was renovated and made into a bakery/restaurant and B&B. It came highly recommended from another local B&B. We had the best seafood chowder and bruschetta. Then it was seafood casserole and the vol au vent. Lots of scallops and lobster. They both were incredible. The service was very personal. We... more
The seafood casserole exceeded expectations. Charming setting. Nice menu. And be sure to meet miss daisy. :)
We went to Miss Daisy's for lunch on the recommendation from the man at Two Fish Bike Rentals in town. We loved it!! We had the chicken curry and the fish cakes. Both were delicious and served with a nice fresh salad. It's a homey place with comfort food in a English tea house setting. Just lovely! We'd definitely recommend... more
We like good fresh food, well prepared and Miss Daisy's didn't disappoint.
My husband loves curry and we were delighted to meet the Chef who was a newly "crowned" Canadian of Indian origin. And he prepared my dish called the Bermuda Triangle which consisted of pan fried haddock in Panko crumbs and delicately cooked shrimp and scallops...to perfection! Our green...

Great hosts - great food - highly recommended! They go the extra mile to make your dining experience just like dining at a good friend's house!
Food was really good, the surrounding were old and worn. Tablecloth was dirty and faded, but may be due to owner's eyesight. This place is closing soon, so good food will have to be found elsewhere.
We have enjoyed our food everytime we visit Miss Daisy's. Owners and staff are very friendly. Coconut cream pie one of the best I have ever eaten and it was included with the special. No liguor license but you can BYOW.
I really enjoyed my stay (march 24 -28) Ian and Judith are always so welcoming. It was my home away from home. The food was of course AMAZING! Went with a foodie and he loved everything! I am never disappointed! Definitely going back!
Can't complain about anything, really, but it seemed like everyone in the small rooms of this house must have been a regular except for us. Everyone else enjoyed small talk from the servers (while we waited to be served) and others were certainly offered a wider range of desserts than we were by the time our lunch finished. The food... more
Went out again, not for lunch, but for dinner this time. Everyone (of 9) VERY pleased with all details of meals. Not a wrong note anywhere. A bring-your-own wine etc place. Cost was extremely reasonable. Beautiful house in the downtown heritage district. Reservation gave us a private and well decorated room.
On the recommendation from a Summerside Information desk we tried Miss Daisy's. What luck! The homemade soups were delicious - the seafood chowder the best we were served in our two weeks Maritimes road trip.
We arrived without a reservation and the host scurried around to find a table and brought us coffee while we were waiting. We were seated shortly in a wonderful room filled with other welcoming guests. As this is a b &b as well, the seating is such that it lends itself to table conversations with other guests. The food was... more
Great stay. Our hosts Ian & co. were exceptional. Ian was extremely informative and seemed like he should be running a 5 star hotel rather than a B&B. Breakfast was delicious as well, eggs Benedict with melted Brie cheese. The place had a very homey feel to it, excellent value! Catch a Celtic performance while you're there and be sure... more
I reserved a lunch here for my 2 girlfriends and I with our daughters. The restaurant is in a century home - beautiful - the table is set with china cups and beautiful settings.

Found this quaint Tea House by accident while returning to our B&B. Stopped in for Tea, Coffee and Coconut Cram Pie. Very tasty pie. Served with tablecloths, china and the decor was all that a Tea House should be. Will return.
