Super surprized

Wasn't expecting a lot, never had a very good opinion of moxies but haven't been to a moxies in years. Super surprized that the food was excellent and served quickly even though the place was packed. Large variety of lovely cocktails to choose from, as well.

The service was surprisingly great. The food on the other hand was meh. They took the sirloin oscar off the menu, which is a great dish, and replaced it with a sirloin with prawn and lobster butter, which was blah. WTF Moxie??!!

We ate here on a Tuesday evening. It wasn't very busy so we were quickly seated. There seems to be a long time frame between receiving drinks on occasion but that is really the only small knock on the place. The food is always fantastic, the pot stickers are very good! The waitresses are very nice and do a good job. I would recommend going here if you plan on spending a little more money than other places but really want a good setting and good food.

My experiences at this Moxie's are just meh. The food is always average, but I will say that the service was good today.

Wonderful

We went there for lunch with friends and had the very best time and meal. The menu offers something for everyone, it even had appetizers I had never tried before. Very busy, and at times noisy, but for a lunch it was great. Service was great and quick.

Great food and vibe

My husband and I have had numerous great meals at Moxies! We enjoy the lounge that has great sporting events on their TV's and a fun atmosphere.

Service is good, not great. Ordered the chipotle chicken with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. Food was cold, asked for it 2 be warmed up, it came back with the veggies all soggy. The food was too salty for my taste and could not finish it. Should have gone to macdonalds instead.

Excellent night out

Took my family here the other night for my son's 19th birthday and had a fantastic time and meal. Our meal was served quickly and was very good. Good sized portions done to perfection, we will definitely go there again.

Unimpressed

Found Mosquitos in my food before...awful experience :( I'm very apprehensive about comming back after finding out the restaurant was shut down for health reasons....hopefully it has changed!

Good Always

Stopped in with working crew before travelling on to camp. It has great food and service. very noisey but that is not uncommon here. Everyone had good food and staff were quick , friendly and on the ball. Good place , above average prices.

So, being one of the "holy trio" of chain restaurants in Fort Mac, Moxies is right up there, and pretty much on the same level as Earls and the Keg.
Cudos for nice seating arrangements, and the summer menu was a definite hit with me. The service is fine, and as to be expected.

Pretty good

Clean and nicely decorated. Had a very pleasant waitress. Had calamari as a starter. It was very good, really liked the sweet chilli dipping sauce with a hint of cilantro. For a main I had the teriyaki ginger and it was pretty average.

Tasty food, good atmosphere

The food is consistently good, the decor is very nice and up to date, and the service is good. My only complaint is that they require their servers and hostesses to dress in skimpy outfits which make it awkward for them, and for women being served. Also, it is a little pricey for the food.

It will be the last time I eat here. I ordered food that came semi-cold/Hot, the waitress was less than attentive.

Not much to choose from

Not much on the menu, high prices and really ignorant waitressses that stick up their noses to 20 dollar tips. Not a place I care to eat at again.

Very average

Moxies in Calgary was terrific every time. This franchise in Fort McMurray is just average. The food is basically the same, although sometimes underdone - as our chicken wings were (eww). And the service is just so-so. Try Joe's or Earl's instead.

Appetizers and Service is why we keep going back

We have been here several times for lunch and always received exceptional service. The wait staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive. Our waiter remembered us from a prior visit and even remembered which drinks we had! It is the small things like that which set this Moxie's apart.

Good atmosphere with average food

I like the new Reno, the girls are usually relatively attentive, and the place has a good atmosphere. The presentation of the food always trumps the taste though and underwhelms my expectation. I have finally decided to only go when I want a pint now.

The last time we ate there Nov/12 a long black hair was found in my friends salad. They took it back and gave him another for free but you don't soon forget that. Tasty, but a tad inconsistent

Came here a few times - love their steak salad which has tasty goat cheese on it (had a takeout order once where it was not added on the salad - manager kindly replaced it with a new one, gratis). Calamari pretty good too, the room is cool and service are quite good.

This place has gone under new management and the food and service has greatly improved. I have been four times now and have enjoyed every meal. Good appetizers, and the service is one of the best in town.

Unfortunately, like much of Fort McMurray, we get the red headed step child for chains. no seasonal menu and lower quality prep than in YEG or YYC. Service is ok though

Newly renovated and fun

The Moxies was recently renovated and they have added a patio. The decor is really modern and fun! And the food and drink menu is awesome as always. One of my favorites in Fort McMurray for sure.

Their food is really good, although they like to change the menue lots, so you can't always get what you enjoyed last time. We really enjoy going for lunches there.

Food good. Dining room nice, lounge too loud

I like the food at moxie's, and since the last reno the restaurant on the whole has come up a few notches. My only beef would be the noise in the lounge, it makes it very hard to speak to the servers.

Mediocre chain food prepared by adolescent line cooks

You're paying fairly high prices at Moxie's for food that showed up in the back of a Cisco food services truck and was skillfully reheated by adolescent line cooks.

Pricey but you get what you pay for. I had the Honey roasted steak. Overall great experience. The wait staff was very pleasant on a few levels. Best dining experience I have had in my 43 years at any restaurant at any price.

All Seats are NOT Created Equal

Moxies main feature is the food. It vas very tasty. Prices are high. The booth's for two are puched up against a wall and are very cramped. Some of them are along the hallway to the kitchen. Lots of traffic walking right by your elbow. I would leave before sitting there again.

The food is good (for a chain) the prices are ok, but the cute waitresses make this a fun bar to go to.

Moxies has become one of my favorite places to eat lately. The Santorini Salad with grilled chicken is amazing as is the Vindaloo. The management runs a tight ship and the service is usually spot on. Fast when I need it to be and they are always careful of my shellfish allergy. I love the new decor especially the bar side. I'll keep posting :)

One of the places we return to frequently. Typical Moxies, good food, good selection, and fast friendly service. Our daughter loves the calamari, and the variety of dishes allows us to try something different or have a favorite again. Try the beef vindaloo.

The service was terrible. The staff seem to think they are more important than the patrons. The food was awful, then we found bugs in our apps. When you ask for a manager, they became quite snotty. Try the Keg or Earls.
