Have eaten there a few times and always found it to be of excellent quality. Food preparation is very appetizing....great service and family owned. Nice atmosphere.
very dissatisfied!
I am from out of town, in Cornwall for work and went to Moustache Joes last night with two work friends. The night started off ok enough, was greeted by a friendly server who was happy to accept a few free appetizer coupons we had, but after that, things went downhill fast. I ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio which showed up to the table warm so I took some ice from a water...

If you want a good meal for a couple that is where you have to go. It's not a family restaurant and don't want to be one. Just a nice meal and talking. Will always go back if I want a nice night with my wife. Most important is that it is fresh made.
Recently celebrated a birthday here and simply had an amazing time! Food was incredible, staff were great, atmosphere was perfect! I keep celebrating any occasion here and they never disapoint!
My wife and I had the charcuterie which featured very ordinary cheese, cold cuts and plenty of sweet condiments. A Dijon or pickled onion would have helped.
Next I had smoked salmon fettuccine which was very plain but my wife had a disastrous seafood linguine with the rubberiest shrimp she has ever had. Simply inexcusable!
Our family ate at Moustache Joe's for our anniversary this past weekend. We started with delicious caesar salad. The prime rib roast beef was very good! It had great flavour, and was very tender. Garlic mashed potatoes and veggies were good too. The kids pizza came out early, which was greatly appreciated. The Manager mingled and ensured everything was satisfactory.... more
The food was excellent as well as the service small restaurant very cozy was very quiet when we arrived. would return again and again
This restaurant has never disappointed us. The menu is expanding and so are the choices.
The seafood linguini is a must. Excellent Prime Rib on the weekends
The owner Steve and the staff will bend over backwards to give you the best dining experience possible.
I travel to Cornwall on business several times a year and this was a go-to spot. It is obvious the ownership has changed hands - I recognized one of the former staff but the rest was new. My lunch took almost 20 minutes and I was literally the only person waiting for lunch. Previously, I was part of a long... more
Over the past few months, I have visited this restaurant with a friend and, honestly, am quite taken back by the five star rating that it has been given. On the positive side, what this restaurant offers is a very nice and modern decor, exceptionally clean washrooms and the servers are very attentive. However, on the negative side, the food... more
I have been to Moustache Joe’s on several occasions and the food, the portions and the service has been top notch each time. I have enjoyed the spaghetti and meatballs, the prime rib and the veal parmigiana. Each time I have had enough leftovers for dinner the next day and that is because I always enjoy a bowl of the... more
I have only applause for this friendly family who have taken ownership of this very very old family business! Three tips for you, dessert counter must, try their new menu items, hire them to cater your next event! I'm VERY happy with the quality & service. Stunned to view their poor reviews, don't believe everything you read (except this:)!! #cornwallgem
I would like to start off by saying that I as many others will miss Joe and his wonderful presence behind the stove and apron. That being said I would like to congratulate the new ownership as I believe it’s a breath of fresh air and a delight to see the somewhat subtle changes within the menu and décor. I... more
I've been to the restaurant twice now, and both times, while the restaurant has been incredibly busy, the staff has taken the time to be friendly and attentive. I've had the Caprese salad, the Seafood Linguini, and the Broccolini pasta - all fantastic (and I'm pretty picky about my Caprese), with great wine and beer choices. Will definitely be back... more
I love the Alfredo sauce but often ask for rose sauce. They always accommodate. The service is friendly and efficient. Since the new owners there is always something and exciting to try.
Bang bang shrimp was terrific.
This place cost us over $100 and as I was eating my pasta the first words out of my mouth were "did they use hunts spaghetti sauce?". Quite simply, one of the most disgusting places I've eaten at in cornwall and I'm slowly going thru the list of them. It's clean, and nice inside...one lady looked like she was dressed... more
These are chefs, not cooks. Fine dining in a quiet atmosphere. Perfect for a night out. Will definitely return.
Thank you for your review Lindsey T. It could have been written by myself. The roast beef story exactly my own experience along with 2 guests. I also agree with all your comments on the owner having to take cooking lessons etc. Why do neophytes spend all their money buying a highly succesful business and then changing it. Has to... more
On our way to Vermont we met up with friends at this fabulous little restaurant. Our friends found it online as none of us knew this area. Upon opening the door, we were greeted with wonderful smells of homemade cooking as well as a most welcoming owner. Three of us had the daily soup which Steve the owner makes from... more
My husband and I had frequented Joe's many, many times. It was originally owned by "Chef Extraordinaire," Joe Aiello. After a few years, we knew that Joe was planning on selling and did so last March. So, recently, we decided to try out the new ownership which we can only sum up by stating very emphatically: "bring back Joe!"

Moustache Joe's is situated on Pitt street.
The atmosphere is romantic, the food is expensive. Yet for some reason, we were greeted by a man in jeans and a tee, which completely threw me off. Did I get too dolled up?
Looking around, I saw no baby seats. I don't think you can call it a family restaurant... it's much to fancy for that. We felt the need to whisper throughout our whole meal,...

went once for lunch and once for dinner both times were good the food is about as authentic italian as you will find in cornwall the antipasto was great and the waitstaff was friendly and courteous the eggplant was cookked perfect and my pasta was al dente just like it should be...i will be back again
Discovered this place on a Saturday morning of a long weekend when other cafes and restaurants were closed. We had a variety of hot beverages which everyone enjoyed and met their expectations. The mocha exceeded expectations. We took a prime window location for a few hours and no one grumbled. As a matter of fact, we were treated to some... more
We were there on a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was empty but do not let that bother you as everything was excellent. The caesar salad was perfect, just the right amout of dressing, we had two different pasta dishes and both were excellent, wine and the meals were reasonably priced and the service was very attentive. This is the... more
Great food in downtown area. Caters to lunch crowd. Service is cafe style and atmosphere is
busy but can't beat the Italian items. Can take out and is open for early evenings.Much quieter
for evening dining.
Conveniently located in the heart of the downtown, this classic italian restaurant features daily lunch specials, a clean and relaxing atmosphere, weekend dining and table d'hote menu. Middle of the road pricing, top notch dining. Moustache Joe's, fast lunches and fine dining!
At dinner time, the restaurant becomes a full service casual dining establishment with delicious dinner specials like our wonderful pasta dishes, steaks and seafood
