The hotel is attractive, friendly, with good rooms and good facilities. Its limitations are its location in the periphery, with few quality restaurants within walking distance, very, very slow and crowded elevators (especially when the cleaning staff is pushing their immense chariots), and a restaurant menu which seems to be static (even though the food is pretty good). In the room there were no towels and when I called down for towels I was put on hold for 10 minutes. I hung up and called back and finally spoke with someone I ended up waiting 20 Minutes for the towels to be sent up to my room. Nice hotel. If there's a congress, it's hard to find parking. Kind welcome, quick and easy. Bar is good, people attending are friendly. A little dust, here and there, in the room (washroom, bed head, behind TV, desk's chair). Pool access it great. Also, it was pretty humid all around the hotel, not just at inside pool building. Amen for functional A/C.

no solution for noises in the hotel

Was woken up at 3am with people returning after partying. Complained 3 times about the noise, which stopped only around 7am. Not happy at all!

Hotel admin service is below average. clerks are either inexperienced or rude.
Breakfast were to be included as advertized before booking room. When I asked for this in morning ( after arrival ), they said breakfast were not included, as Expedia booking will not include breakfast. Very disappointing and sad.

We went at the beginning of winter - the thing we disliked the most was the placement of the pool and its facilities. The hallway to the pool was directly in line with an outside door which created a continual draft of cold air so we were cold for the hour following our swim.

Stayed here for one night after working in the region. This appears to be the biggest and most popular place to stay while working in the Saguenay-Chicoutimi-Jonquiere region. A grand old hotel that looks like it's heyday was in the 80's-90's. The hotel did not look run down but it did look dated in decor.

I stayed here for 4 nights and was the first of 3 hotels i stayed at while in Chicoutimi. It was very nice looking outside, great location and the reception area was nice. The clerk was friendly but said they were booked over the weekend and maybe a room would open up (no luck there) so i was eventually evicted. The rooms were nice, having a refridgerator was awesome. I have stayed here about 12 times over that past 6 years. A nice big hotel that does focus on the traveler.
The breakfast is very good and there is a nice bar in the lobby, There is everything you really could want in a hotel here...pool / dance club (in the basement...but nice) and a very nice restaurant for breakfast, lunch & dinner.
The rooms are not palatial...but they are very clean.

I went there for my prom and i did not regret topay for that increadible
meal! the service is really good, you can have fine wine, and the
atmosfear is great!

A really good choice, if you wanna pay that much, or for a special
occasion!
