Ordered the dinner for four, and after tax and cash discount it came to around 12 bucks a person, except there was really enough food for 6, a nice problem to have. Pretty standard selection with a lot of choices. Everything we had was hot and tasty, not too spicy or salty.
Our dinner included Beef with Mixed Vegetables, and...

Between the TA reviews and backed up by our hotel clerk, we visited the Moon Wok for a late dinner. They are generous with their portions and so kept the ala cart orders to just three items; BBQ Pork Fried Rice, Oyster Beef and Chicken Chow mein. Overall the meal was acceptable but not exceptional. The fried rice was loose... more
The chinese food is so good here. The ginger beef is our favourite. We usually share a dinner for one, it's enough food for two for sure. The service is always friendly.
A busy spot on the north shore of Kamloops. Basic chinese food with subtle flavours. Nothing we had was overly spicy or had a real flavour punch to it. There were 5 in our group and we ordered a dinner for 4 as well as a large Wonton soup. There was plenty of food - enough so that we had... more
The Moon Wok Special is GREAT big enough to feed 2 people or one large appitite. We usually bring home the next days dinner. And they also have Great War Won Ton a meal or 2 in itself
The food was fantastic...Went for dinner, and wanted to have wine as we had company from out of town..was advised that we could have dinner and drinks at the Eagles (other side of the restaurant enterance).. 2 Moon Wok Specials fed the 4 of us... service was great as well as cost for both food and drinks for 4 was... more
To be fair, the restaurant was full with only one server on the floor when we got there then two. It looks like someone didn't show up for work if I heard the comment correctly. My counterpart had a combo dinner and was happy with it. It looked like most were going that route, I typically order something off the... more
In August, during B.C.Senior Games in Kamloops friends and me were having dinner in this clean, quiet restaurant.
Food was very good (even for my Chinese friends experts!!!) and now I know that not only Vancouver and Richmond has good Chinese food.
I would like to write about "situation" which happend after dinner:
on parking I found out I have...

Are you sick of Chinese food that tastes like it's been sitting on a warmer for hours, with premade ingredients? Do you want something that's from-scratch, hot and fresh?
So did I, and I was pleasantly surprised by Moon Wok! The portions are big, the prices are decent and the food is good!
Try one of the combo specials, for...

Early Saturday evening, we let them know that we were in a hurry (on our way to the roller derby), and Moon Wok did not disappoint - our meal came very quickly. And was it ever GOOD! Very likable Chinese-Canadian cuisine, leaning just a tiny smidgen towards "Hong Kong style". The Wor Wonton soup bowl was overwhelming. Broth was flavorful,... more
Went here for dinner, two of us. Ordered dinner for 3 so we could have leftovers the next day. Portions were so large, we could have feed 6 people. Food was very tasty, and hot. Service was very good, and the food was brought out to us in a timely manner. Not much for décor. Prices were very reasonable. Will... more
One of the newer Chinese places in town. Food is substantial and good. It's fairly easy to spot from the outside but don't be thrown by the shared entrance to the inside...go left. Eagles Club is on the right.
We love this restaurant! The food is excellent, the prices are good and the size of the portions is amazing. The only way they could improve would be to have cocktail sauce for their wonderful deep-fried prawns!
If you like fresh tasting veggies stir fried so there is still a bit of snap to them and not totally wilted....and if you like lots of prawns that are a good size and sauteed to perfection.....if you like your rice fuffy....if you like to be able to taste your food and not have it suffocated in sauce.....if you like... more
Was taken by a friend for lunch. It was above average for a Chinese Restaurant. Food was fresh and hot. Taste was just not different than other regular places I go.
Great food with adequate service. The garlic on most of the dishes can be toned down tho. A welcome addition to Kamloops chinese food .
We had the moon wok special - almond chicken, deep fried prawns, sweet & sour pork, beef with mixed vegs, chicken chow mein. Lots of chow mein, good, not greasy. The pork was good & the prawns were meaty, but the almond chicken was dry. Want to eat in; next time to try wor wonton soup.
It was take out...
