We were in room 3116 from 8/1-8/7.

The housekeeping is very rude. Every morning at 8:00 am they get to work. They clean the rooms without a door wedge. This means they will go in and out of the door slamming it a hundred times hitting the dead bolt. The door will squeak and slam over and over again. We loved everything about this hotel except the air conditioning. It seemed the room would cool off for a while then the thermostat would be automatically reset to a higher temperature. The service, staff, lobby pub were all wonderful. If they could just improve the air conditioning in the blistering hot summer they would get 5 stars.

They gave me a room with a great view of the river. The room was clean, albeit a little old room. Service was above average.

I booked a hotel room for a last minute trip to Montreal and realized 5 minutes later that my friend did not have his passport with him so we could not go.  We immediately tried to get a refund and they refused. I lost $600.

I've been to this hotel during its greater days, 12 years ago. The truth is, it just feels tired, in a dire need of a face lift - not even renovations as per se, but a new look.

The location is alright, and so was the price. Won't repeat if I didn't have to, because Montreal has much more to offer.

I'm giving this "home away from home" 5 Stars. The location is amazing, and the people are fantastic. The hotel reminds me a bit of a Grande Dame - she is a classy lady of a certain age.

The doorman remembered me after not too long, and the bar staff are amazing - so friendly.

More vegetarian options on the menu would be welcome, I confess.

Overall a great experience staying here. Great location, easy to get around and get to and from different parts of Montreal.  We walked to the bell center and next door was an indoor ice rink.   Cost was great and three days of parking my car there was $40 total (usd). Can't be that.  Staff was super friendly and helpful.

I went to the little pub in the Marriott hotel. Also, it's very sad to see such a beautiful and historic hotel in such bad shape ! The crystals were crooked on the chandeliers and outdated carpets. I know it gives it the vintage feel but they could've done more to upkeep the place.

This hotel is in downtown which makes it convenient to go anywhere. There is a train station around the corner, and for about $10 / day unlimited ticket, you can explore pretty much all of Montreal.
The hotel has a nice indoor pool and an awesome gym where you can burn calories before and after you eat at surrounding cafes and restaurants. Will stay again in this hotel when we comeback for summer.

We are having a lovely stay at this Marriott. Came with the family for a conference. The crib requested for the room was not ready at our arrival but was sent up within a few min, as well as the rollaway bed (at no additional cost).
There is a mini fridge in the room and amazing views of the city (22 floor).

I really like my room - it's facing the river.

The bed is super comfortable and for the most part, the staff is friendly.

The elevator is super fast so it helped when I running to the conference room in the morning =P.

This is more like a 3-3.5* hotel stay, but excellent service from hotel staff bump it up to 4... everyone from the two sweet ladies in housekeeping, to the concierge for directions and sightseeing recommendations, parking valet and a particular shout out to Louis Philippe at the Elite check-in desk.

Excellent stay here with the family. We are gold category Marriott rewards folks and we're delighted with an upgrade. The level of service here is remarkably high. They take amazing care of their guests. Amenities were excellent. And the fact that it was connected to the metro and the underground city was a deal maker for us given that we are staying here over the holidays (during a snow storm!)

If you are staying over for a Habs game....this is a great spot. Literally a 3 minute walk to the Bell Center. Nothing fancy room wise. Everything was clean, check-in was efficient, parking and room fees were reasonable. Starbucks on premise is nice also.

Solid 3 stars for location and value

No complaints from me - great location - the Metro is literally in the basement of the hotel and there is a Starbucks on site as well, in addition to a bar/restaurant and multiple gift shops.

The front desk staff was very helpful in answering our questions and getting a pizza delivered to our room for late night munchies.

We are Marriott Platinum and so you could say we are a fan of Marriott properties. We thought it was just "ok". It definitely could use some updating. The pool was AWFUL. No hot tub, and the pool itself was small and old. And the woman working at the spa (that you have to walk through to get to the pool) was very rude.

For a room with two beds we were charged $298.00 a night. Ok I understand, we have a view of the city. The view through the smudged and fingerprinted window was nice. The view was the ONLY positive thing about our stay. Our stay at the Marriott Chateau in Montreal was perfect. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The room was great, everything you could need. Not to mention they have the best place to buy Canadiens stuff!

There were four of us, 2 kids. We made a make-shift beds for the kids using the comforters, blankets and pillows on the floor. The room was good size, view was nice, did not try the breakfast. The pool was not exceptionally clean, but a lot of fun for the kid.

Excellent service, wonderful facilities, and convenient transportation. Really couldn't ask for much more. Only thing that could use improvement was the television. I've just gotten used to the world of HDTV.

Pros: Gorgeous view, an awesome bed, excellent housekeeping, free lox and bagels at the VIP lounge upstairs (but i think you need status or to pay extra for access), and really good water pressure in the shower, central location

Cons: You're not allowed to smoke anywhere in the hotel (this is a pro for some people), limited TV

It didn't start out very well. They were oversold the night we arrived, despite reservations that were made in four months prior. They were apologetic about putting us in a "parlor room" and treated us to breakfast the next morning. We moved us to a new room after our first night and everything ran smoothly from that point on.
