The fish n chips were alright.
Nothing really spectacular about this place. I meant we got a nice table and that was about it. Cool ambiance I guess but end of the day we just needed a place to Go have a drink so I guess this place was solid enough to get the job done. THe servers were whatever didn't really seem to care. Just a bunch of regulars. We just a bunch of jive guys and we didn't...

Had the Mayan burger which is supposedly prime rib. It was the worst burger I've ever had. The meat was tasteless and watery which might explain why the whole thing was a soggy mess. Even the french fries were soggy and they are served in a separate container.
On a positive note, the service is friendly and the room is comfortable. Noise level is very good, not noisy at all. Maybe you could go...

To celebrate the end of our 8 month co-op work term, our supervisors took myself and my fellow students out for lunch. We decided on Milestones on Cambie since it was around the area and it's not someplace we go to often.
To start, we ordered the Hot Spinach & Artichoke Dip ($12.75) to share. It came with crispy tortilla chips as well as some sour cream and salsa on the side. This was a big...

I booked the private room for my birthday which was this past Monday. Booking was easy and everyone was really nice. I never got a confirmation email as I was told though.
The room was really nice, but the tables were super awkward. There was one long table and at the end there was a round table and then a table for two against the window and some extra chairs against the windows as well. The...

This Milestones is right next to/above the Whole Foods on Cambie Street at 8th avenue. It's easy to miss.
Up a few stairs and around a bend and they have a nice inviting space. There's a large bar area on one side with a patio on the edge, and on the other side some booth seating.
I visited twice with a friend - both times on weekday evenings. We sat outside on the patio the first time and...

A good 3.5 on the food, but our service was fantastic!
We chose to go to Milestones because the previous time we had gone, I had a wonderful espresso martini and it was just that kind of night again. To my dismay, when I looked at the cocktail menu, it was no longer there. :( Our server was quick to check with the bar staff if the ingredients were still available and a couple of minutes later...

I really enjoyed this location. The chefs did a great job of cooking the food and the design of the place was great! They had a good happy hour and when I visited, all of their seafood dishes were 25% off for the month of October. It was the beginning of the evening when I went and the staff did a very poor job of watching the door. i had to flag down the bar tender to get someone to seat me.... more
I came here couple times. One time, my company had a party here or should I say a seasonal event. Scavenger hunt and afterward came here for appies and drinks. The appies are not bad. Drinks well like most restaurants, you can get whatever drink you can think of.
So couple weekends ago, I came here for brunch. Got one of those coupon 2 benny for $20. Not bad. Too bad they ran out of the smoke...

Food 2/5
Service -1/5 (as bas as it gets)
Atmosphere - 3/5
We went here for my mother in law's birthday dinner, and wow, what a disappointment. I wish I could say it was up to the same standards as the other Vancouver chain restaurants, however this one served us hit after hit. It actually has quite a nice atmosphere, however this is not met with even a decent standard of service! Every single...

I did not know Milestones did brunch until my group of friends suggested it for our get together.
We all ordered the Ultimate Brunch Bundle.
The kitchen was very understanding and made berry only fruit bowls for my friends as they were allergic to melons. The raspberry mimosa was really good.
I personally ordered the smoked salmon benny and enjoyed every bite. Although, I always find that...

It has been quite a while since I stepped into a Milestones and the latest promotion convinced us to return: 3 Course Meal for $25. It is a good deal with plenty of options for the main. I ordered the Roasted Corn & Potato Chowder, the Cajun Shrimp Diane as my main and the White Chocolate Cheesecake for dessert. The chowder was good with a nice level of spice. The Shrimp cajun sauce was overly... more
I love this Cambie location. The interior is nice and the view is phenomenal. I didn't realize this during my previous visits but they also have a small private dining area at the back of their restaurant - it looks like it could be good for gatherings where a quieter setting is preferred.
The service is exceptional. Our server came by multiple times to check on us, refill our drinks and...

Bad food prep.
Had previous meals there that was ok.
Ordered their hamburger meal for lunch, 3-4 bugs came crawling out of the burger right before I ate it.
Waitress saw it and ran off to get the manager.
Got an apology, the excuse given was... "Well it's organic vegtables".
Yeah, you wash the vegetables, don't just take them out of the bin / bag and plate the suckers.
Mc Donalds has...

I used to be literally the world's biggest Milestones fan. I eat out 3-4 times a week and I came to this location very often. Unfortunately, they used to have a great menu but most of that is gone and even though the staff are great, the food has gotten consistently worse and worse.
I had three bad meals here in a row before I finally decided to pack it in and say good bye. It doesn't matter...

The perfect little lunch, would be the best way for me describe my dinning experience here. I ordered the dish with two little burgers. It was good and filling. The only thing I didn't really like about my dining experience was perhaps the price.
The waitress didn't check up on me as I dined solo. But that's alright.
Was there for brunch on Sunday.
Weak watery coffee
Poached eggs were way too over poached. I basically had as hard boiled egg on my breakfast which wasn't even hot to begin with. Not impressed with the service at all! Waiter looked like he just didn't want to be there.
Even though I live in Burnaby this is my go to Milestones! The ambiance of this restaurant is amazing and the view from the bar/patio is one of my favourites in the city. The staff are really friendly and the bartenders are always entertaining. Love coming here for brunch, date night or for cocktails and appies before heading downtown. Highly recommend!
This is our go to Milestones when we are out with the kids.
It just seems to have better food and service than the other Milestones locations.
Us grownups feel like we are not sacrtificing food & drink quality or variety because we need a kid friendly environment.
The menu satisfies us all & as a family we are always in agreement for dinner at Milestones!
Every time I come to this location the service I'd incredibly slow even when there is very few tables. Today we saw our server standing and chatting with other employees while we sat and waited for the poor slow service drinks took like 5 mins meal check was non existent and packing our food took and additional 5 mins. Food is decent but service is poor. Won't be returning.
Food was good as usual. Service was lacking. Server got my order wrong. Didn't apologize. Just said sorry for the confusion?
What confusion. I ordered one thing and received something different. That is not confusion that is an blatant error.
Not sure if we will return to this location again.
I've been here many times and this is the first time I was disappointed with the service and speed our food came out from the time we ordered. Service was lacking, server did not refill our waters or cared to ask if I wanted another beverage. It took an extra long time for us to receive our food. The table sat down after us and ordered after us and received their food before us. Patio is scenic... more
My friend is severely gluten allergic and Milestones (especially our chef Cal) went out of their way to make sure everything was amazing (and safe and not at all an inconvenience or annoyance). The gluten free sliders & bruschetta were stellar.
Our server Cory was also awesome. I had forgotten to mention that I couldn't have any cheese on my salad, literally two minutes before the food came...

It really is a magical place to receive quality service and quality food all under one roof. Bravo!
This is such a nice location and space, it's such a shame that the service and food were meh. I had the steak sandwich and the steak tasted like nothing. There was no sauce or flavour on it at all. A few onions were thrown in for good measure but it did nothing for the flavour. The bread was ok but nothing special. Our service wasn't great even though it wasn't busy. We would sit for 10 min with... more
We visit here often, but they were having an off night, huge disconnect with the kitchen and the serving staff, even the manager was a bit flustered. I will defiantly be going back as they always offer great food and service, in the hopes it was a one off bad night
Came in for brunch with a girl friend, sat in the lounge at a high top table. The server was MIA for most of the meal, we had to flag down a manager in order to get drinks. Terrible service. Won't be back
We had a nice birthday dinner at milestones since they have a birthday offer where the birthday person doesn't have to pay for his/her entree if he brings (3?) friends with him/her.
Anyways, I had the seafood fettuccine (and so did 4 other people) and it was delicious! The only concern was that it was too spicy for a few people and the waitress had not mentioned that it would be spicy......

Our server was awesome, she is super friendly and helpful all the time. I ordered the seafood fettuccine and it said spicy on the menu but the outcome was super spicy which I couldn't accept and she took care of me right a way and offered me another dishes. I ordered the ahi tuna taco and it was super good. I am sure I will go back to this restaurant soon.
We booked a birthday family dinner for 11 people since we've dined here before and we liked the private room in the front. The shredded lettuce that came with the burritos was very dry, as was the beef and fish tacos were very un-appetizing with some green sauce that was squirted or plopped on top. The seafood linguine was awful since the mussels were not fresh, cream sauce was doughy. Rest of... more
Went to watch a hockey game, good place for it. Food was hot when it came to the table, and service was okay.
Overall I was very pleased with my experience at Milestones. I dine with a party of 8 and one was a baby and they were extremely accommodating. The food was delicious and the bruschetta flatbread was one of the best I've ever had. One little thing I wish they could have done was to cook the prime rib a little more as per the customers preference. I understand that it is a whole piece that is... more
We had a very nice dinner at Milestone's on Mother's Day, and all enjoyed themselves from my parents in their 70's and my daughter who is 6. The staff were attentive and very friendly and the food was very good for the price. We would definitely return again.
I don't have much to say about atmosphere as we were only 1 of 2 tables in for a late (awkward timed) lunch. But this location is a beautifully decorated restaurant with tasty food and quick/friendly service. Left feeling full and satisfied... I would definitely return!
This is a great place to go on a Monday night for the girls night out: the bellinis are awesome and the food is really good, especially the spinach dip.
Also if you go in a group of 2 girls, it'll work out at $10 each which is nothing, and if it's two people, you'll eat a lot for $20 each (even better).
Awesome food and great service. Never disappointed. 4 cheese burger all the way. I highly recommend
A couple of weeks ago I had brunch at the Cambie location. The food was excellent, but the service was disappointing.
I was with a large group (about 20 people), so it wasn't unreasonable for the service to be a bit slow. However, I'm not sure if the size of our group overwhelmed the staff or if they unexpectedly got very busy and were caught off guard (our group did have a reservation far in...

This was our first stop once crossing the Washington / Canada boarder and it was the right choice. We drove round and round trying to find a place to eat. Excellent Belini's - they are very slushy and tasty. Great appetizers. I wish we had one here in WA.
One of the surprisingly nice (though a wee bit pricey) places to have a dinner or a drink.
Parking is available in the large underground lot downstairs, but it is NOT validated. I would recommend the side streets instead, if you don't mind a short walk.
The main dining area is your typical dimly-lit establishment with dark wood. There is a small private room as well, which seats 25 people or...

I've been here twice for the girl's night out deal: 4 bellinis, and 4 appies for a total of $40 on Mondays, which is a pretty good deal -- $10 each? Sweet!
Don't get your hopes up for super amazing food because the appies are seriously just average and nothing special, but if you're just looking for a place to chat and have some drinks on a Monday night with 3 other girls, then you get a good...

I came here on a Monday night with a few social butterfly girlfriends for their Monday Girls Night Out Special of 4 Bellinis and 4 appies for $40. I don't drink, therefore, had a mango mint ice tea that the waitress was sweet enough to make a part of the 4 - 4 - 40 deal. I appreciated this very much so that I could participate. Kudos to the waitress for keeping score of what we did or didn't... more
A bunch of us headed over to the Milestones Crossroads franchised eatery to sample their special new chef's menu for summer.
Their lamb sliders were actually a surprisingly tasty appetizer. I thought the crispy quinoa shrimp (with chimichurri aioli and vegetable slaw) had far too much quinoa and its crispiness took away any of the shrimp taste. The panko blue crab cakes (with fennel and...

I like this place. When I moved to Fairview from the West End I started using it thinking I would move on to a good neighbourhood pub, when I found one. I've tried all the ones in the area and I continue to drink my pints at Milestones.
So, get over the fact that it's a chain, get chatting with the staff in the lounge and enjoy your cold beer with a beautiful view.
It's either a hit or miss here.
I was just here on Wednesday/Thursday? MISS.
The waitress was not the most attentive, not sure where the heck she was the entire time that we had dinner. A good handful of times we had to flag the manager on duty or another waitress by to bring us water, cutlery etc.
I never go unless I really have to.
She reminded me why.
Hard to believe I'm giving a Milestones restaurant a 4-star rating since I've never liked this chain - especially after enduring repeatedly bland, greasy and thrown-together meals that I generally left slumped to one side of the plate. I only ever went there (reluctantly) for work things or colleague's leaving meal/drinks etc. and found the food/service to be reliably disappointing.
That is,...

I like this location in particular because of the beautiful view of the city. The food is decent and unlike a few other similar chains they have gone out of their way to provide a decent gluten-free menu (they even have garlic bread to go with the gluten-free pasta!). I like to get the 9oz. serving of Shiraz and if there's room in my belly, the chocolate ganache with caramel sauce for dessert.
It's just OK. I'd place this in the same category as White Spot and other chains. Reliable and predictable enough for what you're looking for. They do seem to slide their menu items towards the more healthy angle, but the basic burger test resulted in only an average offering which really wasn't better served by what appeared to be a "healthier" spin on it.
Had the seafood linguini while out with friends and spent the rest of the night with the worst foodborne illness I've ever had in my life - didn't end until well over 24 hours since my meal. It was an absolute nightmare. best gluten free burger I've had since being diagnosed last summer. the bun fell apart but I didn't really care. I've been craving it since I left bc. the waiter was very helpful as well.
Good location, nice atmosphere. Waitresses are dressed to the nines and the service is good, but the food.. It's still a Milestone. It's not good. My steak was borderline unpalatable. And no matter how short the skirt is on your waitress, you can't make up for that.
I haven't return to Milestones for at least 5 years. What make me return? We got a gift certificate from company X'mas dinner.
I found the interior so modern and trendy, the environment quite relaxing and the servers were friendly.

I normally don't go for reviewing big chains like this, but one thing stood out:
The desert shots! Not shots like you'd think: no alcohol here. Just a raft of five mini deserts for a decent price. Chocolate ganache, key lime pie, ice cream, apple crisp, and cheesecake. Yum.
Steak and seafood is nothing to write home about, but no complaints. Friendly service, decent kids' menu, and a nice...
