I recently just had my puppy spayed here.
Yes their prices are cheap, but so too was their attention to not cause undue suffering.
The front desk staff were nice and quick to correct mistakes in the recap of how I should monitor her at home.
The shock came right when she got home and laid down.
I saw that two of her claws, on one leg, were cut brutally short and there was dried brown blood on the other leg that should have been cleaned.
Had she been difficult to the staff patience should have been excercised rather than rushing the job and injuring my puppy.
I am now concerned that the same lack of attention to care was used for her surgery...
there prices are very reasonable compared to other vets just for a exam its 25$ and other vets charge 56$ they also do exotics like rabbits hamsters and rats..
I got my dog's neutering surgery done here. That was my first visit and the price was very affordable. The surgery was around $130 and $15 for a ear tatto. I paid $150 something after tax. My dog is totally recorvered now (10 days after the surgery ). And I'm very happy with the result and will come back if he needs update his shots.
I took my puppy (5 months) there for the first time to get his nails clipped. I was horrified when they took him to the back room and advised me to stay in a separate room while the did the deed. I decided to sneak up on them anyways and peak through the door (guess im a little over protective). I had specifically told them that I did not want my dogs nails to be cut off with a guillotine. They... more
Came in this week because my doggy was peeing blood. I was so worried, but they booked us in quickly and reassured us. We collected his urine for a sample and dropped it off at close that night and the next morning they called and told us our results, I can't believe how fast it was! Doggy is on their recommended food and they gave us an action plan to help him and told us we didn't have to go... more
I've only had good experiences with Metrotown Animal Hospital. I started bringing one of my cats here earlier this year and they've done an awesome job. Everything from dental work to minor infections, they've diagnosed correctly and made great recommendations. They don't overmedicate, and they don't pressure you to get unnecessary tests, which is more than I can say for other vets I've been... more
I brought my small dog here because he was having severe back pain. My first visit, the vet sent me home with a anti inflammatory and order for rest. After a week my dogs pain gradually became worst and unmanageable with the medication I was given. I brought him back for an x-ray and explained to the vet that the pain medications were not helping and my dog was in constant pain- stating I... more
My cat died here alone last night.
Over the phone we were told that we could bring him in and they would care for him until he was better to go home. We didn't find out until we dropped him off that he was going to be alone for 15 hours overnight. I left him at the Oak Animal Hospital the night before where they do 24 hour surveillance and care. He was doing much better in the morning and had...

I called, made an appointment and when I got there with my small animal was told they don't do small animal veterinary, they then slid a note across the counter, made eye contact and the other office worker read it, then ripped it up and said "I know right?".
The professionalism of the front end staff was appalling, however, the vet was great and very helpful.
I took my 2 puppies here for their shots and aside from the vet being a little hard to understand at times and the receptionist having a loud personal conversation on the phone at the front desk it was pretty pleasant.
My dogs had only had their basic shots and the vet did a great job of explaining which other shots are important in this area and why. He was very gentle with the dogs and they...
