Perfect Hotel for Downtown

My husband and I enjoyed our anniversary at the Metropolitan earlier this month. The staff was professional, friendly without hovering. The room was incredible, linens are top quality and very comfortable. The location is perfect. Super location. Within walkable distance to most attractions in downtown. Easy access to hotel from airport through the Canada Line. Though there is construction just next to the hotel, disruption is kept to minimum. Did not hear the construction noises from hotel. This is the second time I have stayed at The Metropolitan Hotel. I really like this hotel for its position and facilities. Service is excellent.Rooms are very well appointed.My only two gripes are: The elevators are very slow as is the internet wireless connection. Otherwise a first class hotel. Will use again.

All I remember is the bluecheese cheesecake,it was a delicate and decadent slice, it was hella good.The room was clean and modern. I had unfortunate news of a death of a friend as soon as I landed. The staff at the hotel were so kind and helpful. They cancelled my second day with no penalties and helped me to call Air Canada to change my flight, so as I can go home earlier. Air Canada also waived the change fee because of the circumstances.[...]

A quiet elegant downtown hotel

Metropolitan is very well kept and staff are professional and friendly. WiFi is only available in the lobby and our room did provide a data cable. Lobby and room were very clean; however, the bathroom seemed a bit dated.

We were able to walk to Robson street to shop and we had plenty of restaurant options for meals. Parking was expensive and there is a lot of construction going on near the hotel, likely in preparation for the 2010 Olympics.

while i was there i was on a business trip so i was in the room just to change clothes or to sleep. every thing in the hotel was great and i didnt needed anything at the time. the hotel is a little different and but i like it! the staff are very nice and if you need something they were there when i needed a thing.

Fabulous hotel!

An upscale hotel right in the heart of Vancouver! The room was spotless, the linens luxurious,the bathroom was all marble and very spa-like. The hotel was quiet, the staff friendly and helpful.
