In my opinion, not the best Chinese in Kanata/Ottawa but still very good. It is a little dark but the staff have always been very welcoming. Once when with a group celebrating a birthday, one server even approached me at the buffet to ask who the birthday girl was and then brought out a nice dessert with a candle as a surprise. Would like to see more choices on the dinner buffet but I have enjoyed everything that was offered. Take out is very good as well.

If you like Chinese food like me, you will love this place. They have an awesome variety and everything I have tried so far has been excellent. The prices are very reasonable too.
This place is like stepping into a time warp. Nothings changed since it opened, except now they have a credit card machine...and even that's old now.
This is a good thing. Why? Because the food was good back then (or at least the 15 years that I've been eating here) and the food is still good today. The lunch buffet...

Restaurant is very good, but the picture shown is most definitely not Maple Court! Good, consistent food and a good value for the money.
Although this is on the other side of the 417 from the hi-tech March Road area of Kanata, its somewhat of a traditional hi-tech hangout. The menu hasn't changes in 15+ years I have been coming here, and the selection is somewhat limited but still ample. It is a simple place, but has a nice Chinese lunch buffet that really... more
YUM! YUMMY! NOM NOM! MMMMM! SOOO GOOOD!! if you dont like this place then good! more deliciousness for me!
This is not the place young and green crowds favor, but it has its clientele: mostly working class and locals for take out from the area. I was there recently for buffet style $8.99 lunch with my colleagues and learned another lesson why I no longer enjoy this time of food.Too much is either fried or salty or both. However,... more
While selection at their Lunch buffet isn't substantial the food has remained consistently delicious for over 20 years! Ownership has never changed which may explain. An absolute "must try" for those that haven't. Yes the décor is dark; however, the food more than makes up for it!
The restaurant is dated and dimly lit.
The food quality benefits from the facility being dimly lite. Most of the items were swimming in sauces that were there only to make the items swim as the sauce added no flavor.
The weekday buffet is busy with increased volumes on Thursday and Fridays.
The general Tao chicken has some distinct flavor...

Typical Canadianized Chinese food. But, we had a pretty bad pickup experience. We phoned in an order for 6-7 dishes ($60) on New Year's day, and they told us it would be ready in an hour. I arrived right on the hour mark to pick the order up. They asked me to pay, and then I waited in their lobby... more
Best chinese in Ottawa. Yes the restaurant decor is outdated but the food is always fresh and has been our "go to Chinese" for over twenty years! Buffet options are somewhat limited if selection is what you are looking for...however we always order off of the menu. Great quality ingredients and we have never been disappointed.
Whether eatting in or taking it home the food is fresh and tasty. The buffet not so much as it lacks variety compared to others but for a group or family get together. excellent.
Never eat here! The quality was poor but what reLly grossed me out was a kid reaching into the buffet with his hands and putting spare ribs on his pa
Late..his mom standing right there
In a word, yuck. The menue was dirty and stained which seemed to match the floors, table and bathroom surfaces. Painfully boring canadian-chinese soaked in pre-made sauces to hide the total lack of flavour. Good god that was awful food!
We ordered from Maple Court for delivery. The fried rice was swimming in Soya sauce and tasted burnt and full of MSG. We ordered our typical 4 dishes, and the quantity and quality was disgusting. I threw out the left overs!.
The entire order came up to $53.00 + delivery charge of $5.00 - not worth it.
Ignore the buffet unless your just a food filler fanatic. However, once you order from the menu, you've arrived to wonderful Chinese treasures. The food is fresh and also more compatible with Western pallets then most Chinese restaurants. Just a couple of hints among many delightful dishes are, Chicken roll with vegetables, Szechaun style spicy pork. etc. etc. Treat yourself... more
Small lunch buffet, but very fairly priced. Food was decent if not spectacular. Actually enjoy the rather interesting '70s decor and servers in tuxes.
