Continual sprucing keeps this inn on Parc des Gouverneurs, opposite the Château Frontenac, looking spiffy. Many guest rooms feature exposed stone or brick walls. If you require air-conditioning, be sure to request one of the six units that have it. Room no. 8 is one of the least expensive units but has a small balcony, while room no. 10 has a king bed, claw-foot tub, and large windows with a... plus
I rarely leave negative reviews. I always feel like there's pros and cons to each place I visit, but I try to focus on the positives. And let me preface this by saying I never actually stayed at this hotel.
I booked this hotel for a 3 day weekend getaway to Quebec, Friday to Monday. Unfortunately, a snow storm cancelled my Friday night flight, so I was put on the first flight out Saturday...

First off, let me start off saying that we absolutely LOVED the location of this hotel. Perfect walking distance to great views and activities, and the entire neighborhood looks like it's straight out of a movie. There are dozens of hotels in the neighborhood (and that same street for that matter), though.
Unfortunately, the only spoiler to a perfect Valentines Day vacation was Manoir Sur Le...

Great place! Nice service ! Family friendly. Close to the water and besides the chateau frontenac.... Great location!! Beautiful rooms and love all the antiques, paintings and stairs!
Very good location, clean and nice stuff. I was in the roon no.16 which is on the top floor. It has very nice view of Fairmont and the park beside. Inside the room it was small but enough for 2 people, there is a bathtub at the end of the bed, TV, fridge, and a 2 pieces bathroom. I can say "I love this little hotel" and "I will come back for sure"
We stayed in 2 rooms, we decided to extend our trip another night and the staff was wonderful about moving our luggage when it was convenient for us. The location is a side street facing a park next to the Chateau. Behind is the Citadel with lovely grounds to walk in.
The only reason we didn't give this review a...

Sur le Cap was a fantastic little hotel with character and warmth! It's situated right next to the Chateau and river front, across from a small park. It's peaceful and easy to find! The hotel itself is old fashioned but beautiful. The staff members were extremely friendly and helpful, and I really enjoyed the long climb up the carpeted stairs to our room. The décor reflected the original era of... plus
Stayed in #16 - what a fantastic room... Top floor, so there are some stairs to navigate, but the room should be your first request. Chateau Frontenac is basically in front of the hotel. Excellent location in the upper area, the lower area is easily accessible by the Funicular or '2 feet and a heart beat'. Staff were very courteous... plus
I can echo what's already been said. Lot's of character, good location, nice staff, reasonable price. I went recently and it hadn't changed much from 10 years ago.
This was the perfect inn for my wife, my young adult daughter and me. The staff welcomed us warmly and made us feel at home. They helped us with recommendations for dining and attractions. The room was spacious enough for three and quiet, even though it was right inside the front door and faced the street. The small park just... plus
Room 16 on the third floor - best two nights sleep I've had in a long time. It was so quiet. And, we lucked out on parking - there was an open space right in front of the door. Great host, very clean and well kept hotel. And the price was right in line with any other within the Old... plus
We stayed in town for just one night so we could explore old Quebec after our stay at L'Hotel de Glace. We were so pleasantly surprised when we arrived at our beautiful hotel and realized it is a block-sized park away from Le Chateau Frontenac! We had views of the water from our hotel's doorstep and this beautiful building so... plus
Just returned from a couples' weekend. This is a beautiful old property, hidden behind Chateau Frontenac. The GPS will make you drive through the main entrance to the Chateau to reach Ste-Genevieve street.
The property is clean, nicely decorated and you have everything you need. We stayed in Room 3 with the kitchenette so we could make our own breakfasts...

I love this little hotel right across from the Chateau Frontenac and next to the Terrasse Dufferin. I found this place 10 years ago, long before Yelp and Trip Advisor and it's nice to know that it is still owned by the same family. There have been some décor upgrades since my last visit but everything else has remained the same.
This isn't a luxury hotel (rates are extremely reasonable - from...

We stayed in room 11 which has a wonderful view of the Frontenac and the river. The room is small, but not terribly so. If your visit allows you to unpack then the room works fine for two people. If you are living out of your suitcase it will feel cramped because there is no where to lay out the... plus
We stayed at Manoir Sur Le Cap for 4 days in the Fall. Our room had a lovely view across a park of the Chateau Frontenac and was within walking distance of every place in Old Quebec. We had no car so parking was not a problem and were able to call for a cab when we needed one. We... plus
Excellent location and right in front of Chateau Frontenac. We stayed Nov 8-9 and had a great time. The Hotel has a no Parking, but you could find indoor Parking very close. We took a weekend package for $47 and you could leave the Parking when you want for same fee. This Hotel have 4 floors with steps only. The... plus
Excellent location in the old city!
exceptionally friendly service (the young women at the reception, went outside to check our parking, and when she was convinced of it, recommended us not to move the car for the weekend... it was free). We got all the recommendation and explanations about eating and shopping around, pointed out points of interest etc.

Really nice old house/hotel from way back when. Very small rooms, no TV but awesome little balconies and window A/C. Great value and friendly staff with helpful tips on fun stuff to get up to. Who needs a TV on holiday anyway? F that.
Location is definitely key here. Right by the Frontenac hotel, the governors garden, the citadelle, the terrasse, the petit-champlain...I could go on but you have all of old Quebec within walking distance. Despite the hotels lack of breakfast, they make for it in free wifi, keurigs, decent TVs and charm by the bucket load. The staff is lovely and are always willing to help. I highly recommend... plus
Small, but charming hotel in Old Quebec. Room was small, but clean and had a little balcony. The hotel is a very short walking distance to the waterfront boardwalk. The only inconvenience is the lack of parking near by. Maybe streets are one-way and have lots of parking restrictions.
We spent 3 nights in Manoir Sur-le-Cap during our honeymoon. The rooms are well decorated and very clean and the location is outstanding. The Frontenac is virtually across the street and the Citadelle is right out the back door. The drawbacks are the lack of amenities -- no in room telephone and no breakfast -- but the staff is very accommodating and considering you should be spending most of... plus
This place is full of character, quiet, very comfortable, and close to the action.
For 2 nights we had Room 3: kitchenette ( toaster, toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker, electric teakettle, mini fridge, sink, dishes and silverware and cabinet space). We also had a little patio table and chair outside, and a private entrance. The room was very nice with two beds and a table, TV, and chairs.

Location would be hard to beat. Right in the walls with a quiet park across the street. We had #16 at the very top of this old building. Room tried to keep period with open beams and a cute clawfoot tub in the middle of the room - but the space was better used for our bags and turning around in the tiny spaces left over. Shower room was small but functional.
A work-a-round AC unit was not...
