Fantastic place to get your baguettes and croissants, their cakes actually turned me into a self proclaimed pastry 'chef'/enthusiast, thanks Mamie !
Best Cafe in Outremont to work in.
Sofa, couch, confortable chairs at the second floor.
All the viennoiseries look magnificent.
Breads are awesome. Cheese Croissant are so good.
Nice casual seating upstairs, friendly, well-organized service (remember to take a number!) and some really well-done baked goods. Not the best I've had in my life, but well up in the top of Montreal's selection.
Mamie Clafoutis is one block from the Sherbrooke metro station, and it's worth going out of your way to try their baked goods and sandwiches. I went there twice; the staff were friendly and efficient and the plain croissants absolutely the best I've found in the city (there are lots of lists or blog posts online, so you can do... plus
I moved closest from Outremont this summer, so on a chilly fall night, a friend and I decided to try it because of the raving reviews everywhere. We were not disappointed. Despite arriving late, we were offered many eating options. I had the chocolate mousse, which was very rich and with a perfect texture. My friend went for a sweet... plus
Worth going out of your way for these breads and pastries. On the day we were leaving Montreal I bought sandwiches to eat on the plane. The goat cheese, spinach and pesto was on a delicious walnut roll. The grilled chicken on a crunchy baguette. Before I left I had to try the almond croissant for a farewell treat. It... plus
This is a gem of a bakery in Outremont. Everything we ried was excellent, fresh, tasty and made to perfection. The croissants are buttery delicious, they have unique chocolatines made for chocolate lovers. There is an assortment of unique pastries not found anywhere else. The cheese and chorizo bread is excellent. This bakery will certainly see us again!
This is one of the best bakeries in Montreal. I love this place really good pastries, cookies, pies and coffee. I like sitting upstairs
This is a mediocre imitation and attempt at at a bakery, the bread is like chewing gum, not good at all, the coffee was so watery it tasted like water from hudson bay
It doesn't get much better than this. After having lived in France, this place is just as good as anything you'll find there. What's more, it's at least 30% cheaper than comparable places in Toronto (where I live).
I shared a sandwiche classique, a croissant aux amandes, a croissant au fromage and a quiche au salmon, and I wouldn't have changed a thing about any them.
It was a large and very...

Our friend wanted to go visit this bakery after reading on Yelp and it was worth the cab ride. Four of us went and split pizzas, quiche, bread with blue cheese baked in it and the most decadent chocolate cake and almond croissant you can imagine. What a great place to sit and relax and enjoy. I wish we had... plus
Great bakery, it has a lovely second floor with sofas, chair, tables and even a piano. Beware, lots of mothers go there with their babies. Just beware it will not be your most quiet place. The coffee is very good, but by far the bakery is the stronger asset. Don't forget to try the pastry called "Oh mon Dieu"
By far the best bread in Montreal. Baguette always good and perfectly cook. Same for the croissant. Mmmmm
Pretty much everything I had was fresh and tasty. The place always had some people waiting in the lobby waiting to order something at all times, which probably means that it's a place that has a following. I give it a thumbs up too.
I go to Mamie Clafoutie to buy bread and viennoiseries. I also like to go to the first floor to have a nice latte and a sandwich.
Every time we do some shopping on St-Denis in Montréal, we make an obligatory stop here to get some fresh and tasty baked goods. The selection is overwhelming and the quality is always consistently good. Full selection of patisserie, breads, sandwiches and quiches to go with your tea or coffee. The chocolatines are my favourite but many other treats are... plus
We craved something light for lunch after too many great but filling (and expensive) meals in Montreal restaurants. We happened by this bakery on the rue St Denis near Cherrier and ventured in. Beautiful place, warm and friendly, filled with the wonderful aroma of baking bread, offering the most delicious, freshly made sandwich creations at very reasonable prices. For us... plus
Wheter you want a nice bread or a simply delicious croissant this is the place to go!
They have great coffee too!
The choices of viennoiseries and breads they have are unbelievable and all delicious!
Well, this is not a french patisserie. Their specialty is more on the viennoises and breads. Light and buttery croissants you can only dream of. Croissant amandine or with pistachio. Of course chocolatines and a ganache filled croissant called "oh mon dieu". All sinfully delicious.
Great stop for breakfast and a must for your brunch. You will find breads like...

We bought 2 croissants, 2 chocolatines, 2 roulés aux raisins, 3 Oh-mon-dieu and 1 clafoutis aux pommes for a birthday party. The verdict was in an hour later: Oh-mon-dieu kills it, classic viennoiserie is good, clafoutis aux pommes was so-so.
They have a very nicely arranged coffee room on the second floor, with wifi, deep leather armchairs and a few tables in case you really need to work.

Walking on St. Denis, we were drawn in immediately to this little pastry shop. Despite it's name, its not a dessert-only place, but features a wide selection of mouth-watering, artisanal breads, tarts, and pastries.
It's an order-at-the-counter place, with real bakery activity in the background, and a nice loft to sit to enjoy your purchases.
As it is apple season,...

We found this bakery in a NatGeo Montreal app and decided to go. We found a closer yet smaller brach on St. Denis street. When we got there we were greeted by wonderful smells, kind staff and mouth watering breads. We deiced to have breakfast there and then take some baguettes for lunch. We ordered an Almond Croissant, which was... plus
In our last trip, we didn't have too much time to waste. This place have great things for breakfast, nice bilingual personnel. You can go upstairs and they have huge space to rest and eat.
I also picked up something for later lunch.
Great ingredients, you can see the way they are doing the bread and the salads.
Good coffee....

Our hotel (Hotel Kutuma) is minutes from this heavenly bakery and each morning we'd walk there and return to have breakfast in our room. Buttery light croissants, quiches, baguettes, chocolatines, and other delicious pastries. Very friendly service, too. I highly recommend checking it out- you won't leave empty handed.
My colleagues brought me here when I started working in Outremont and I was a convert after just one sandwich. The buns they use are always fresh and amazing....oh and also highly addictive. The pastries, don't even get me started. Let's just say that it is a good thing that this place isn't right next door or else it would be truly damaging to my waistline. Everything here is fabulous and... plus
I had high expectations for this cute little bakery and pastry shop. Everything looked and smelled delicious. However, I was not very impressed with my cafe au lait and the almond croissant that I tried was very flavorful, but filled with a bit too much almond paste for my liking. It was overwhelming. I might stop in again if I am in the area and try their breads and other baked goods, however.
