Recently had dinner at Main Street Inn (Georgetown, Ontario) with a friend. Personally, we were disappointed with the evening menu. My dinner companion ordered the soup of the day and a Caesar Salad. The soup bowl looked big, but in fact it was shallow resulting in a very little soup. The Caesar Salad dressing was a toss up; upon serving... more
We have been regular visitors over the last few years, and this is my first trip advisor review of this restaurant. The current menu offers a good variety. The food is always prepared fresh, and we have not been disappointed. If the weather co-operates, the patio offers an excellent experience, generally shaded by the house, with light traffic along main... more
We had eaten several times at the Main Street Inn, and while it has always been very good, we found the menu too exotic for our tastes, with lots of wild game.
We returned this month and had an excellent experience. We enjoyed a meal on the sun dappled front deck, which created a Park- like feel right on the...

This beautiful B&B is in the heart of downtown Georgetown. We were impressed by our large room, complete with 4-poster bed, a tub built for two, and a separate shower! There is a delicious-looking restaurant on site but we checked out another local restaurant/coffee bar that was featuring an open mike night. Downtown Georgetown is quite small but offers several... more
It's a beautiful place and I always loved the ambiance inside and on the patio. Over the years the food and service has been somewhat inconsistent but now with John and Brian in the kitchen, the food is consistently excellent!!! I love it! Everything is homemade, tasty and there are several healthy options. The service lately has also been excellent.... more
Visited for the first time for dinner on Valentine's Day with my husband. Despite several servings from the fixed menu - portions were too small. Food was OK - but not memorable, other than the waldorf salad which was a trip back to the seventies. We were seated in a small back room that lacked atmosphere and was cold and... more
We went one evening on a spur of the moment as we have passed this place often and were curious. The food was great but the waitress was WAY to chatty and the food took SOOOOO long to come. So, for that reason, I probably won't go back. When I arrive at a restaurant, I'm usually quite hungry so I... more
I took my daughter there for her birthday. After waiting 90 minutes for our lunch it still had not been served. Every other customer had their meal and even those who came in after us. After number requests for service and every time we were to "just another 5 minutes" it was and hour and 45 minutes we got up... more
My husband and I visited the restaurant today for my birthday. We admit we were very hesitant about coming back as the last two times at best have been mediocre but we were in town and I wanted to have a quiet lunch in a relaxing atmosphere. The homemade soup was delicious and hot. The chicken crepe I had was... more
I did not sleep well as the bed was very uncomfortable and not supportive. It had a piece of blue foam on top of a box spring.
The pillows were cheap quality and did not support your neck.
The web site said a cooked breakfast or continental breakfast was included. This was not offered. We had some granola with a...

We city "girls" make the long trek to Georgetown and the Inn once a year. We were not disappointed today! We each had something different for lunch and all agreed everything was delicious. Our waitress was helpful and charming! My friend's only complaint was that she was not served garlic bread so she soak up the delicious sauce of her... more
My last review of the Main Street Inn did not shine a very bright light on this restaurant. I am going to blame that on a chef (no longer there) who didn't want to hear the Prime Rib was tiny and over cooked and inexperienced wait staff.
My wife and I went for brunch yesterday after a 70 km bicycle...

I recently wrote a review about the spinach salad that I was served at this restaurant, I was very disappointed at the blackened spinach. I am impressed that the chef was made aware of this when he arrived for the evening meal and more than impressed that he has offered my friend and I a complimentary lunch. Instead of being... more
Have eaten at the Main St. Inn many times. Last week a friend and I went for lunch. I ordered the spinach salad with pears, Looked lovely, after eating about 2/3rds of the salad I noticed rotten black pieces of spinach, also spinach with brown around. You would think that whoever assembled same would have seen that this spinach was... more
Every time I go there, I have had nothing but awesome food and great service! The presentation was outstanding and the taste of the food from appetizer, main course and dessert was mouth watering! The brunch is my favourite as I have been there a few times!
In the course of our overnight stay at the Main Street Inn, my wife and I took advantage of the on-site restaurant. It was a wonderful break! The accommodations were excellent, and dinner was a delightful experience. Everything - the attention of our friendly server, Danielle; the ministrations of the chef; and the ambiance - was perfection.
One suggestion: as...

Delicious food, excellent service and a lovely atmosphere are all found at the Main Street Inn. Brian and Sharon do an amazing job running the Inn and are great supporters of local artists.
At my recommendation five friends gathered at The Inn for dinner. The service was abrasive, the food disappointing and the portions ranged from very small to large. It felt as if the chef had left the building. I felt terrible to have recommended that we spend a special evening there.
Main Street Inn is more than just a B&B. I have been here just for the great food and wonderful service. They are very hospitable, friendly and make you feel so welcome. The food is very fresh and handmade to order. The ambiance is perfect as you are always surrounded by beautiful artwork from local artists on their walls. The... more
Dropped in for Lunch for my first visit to Main Street and must say it was fabulous!
The menu offered for lunch was interesting and presented very well . The food was fresh and quality BIG CITY !
Will definitely will try Main Street for Dinner in the future and would only say .....it's worth the drive to Georgetown!!
Dined on a busy Saturday night. We were warned when we made the reservation that there were two large parties. It is a nice quaint restaurant displaying local art, with friendly service. The food was very good. The only negative I can say is that one of the large groups was very noisy.
This was my second time at the Main Street Inn and the food was outstanding. We were there with friends as part of the Classic Car Show so we like sitting outside on the patio and talking to people walking by. They had a special menu for that day and there was some great selections such as curry mussels, turkey... more
We have been dining at the Main Street Inn since we moved to Georgetown five years ago and have never been disappointed. New Year's Eve, Father's Day, baptism luncheons or just when we are looking for an excellent fine dining experience.
The owners and staff are so very welcoming and the cuisine always delivers. Happy to recommend to friends and...

My wife and I have had many lovely meals at the Main Street Inn and have been patrons there since the week they opened but last evening was dreadful! We both ordered the prime rib special. The veggies and yorkshire were lovely but the prime rib was cooked medium for both of us despite the fact that I ordered rare.... more
We dine here frequently. The menu is always fresh, the ambience is wonderful, and the food is always devine. Both lunch and dinner have a great selection. They also have a fantastic patio. Did I mention dessert? Mmmm. Old downtown Georgetown is also charming.
I have been here before for brunch and was satisfied. I ordered the usual main street breakfast plate for $10, asked for over easy and the eggs were sunny side up and well cooked. Home fries were stale why partners looked fresher. Wife's special omlette was average and rather small with a few homefries for $10, no toast came with... more
We visit the Main St. Inn frequently for the carefully prepared and delicious food (with just as much care put into the sides as the mains!), as well as for a very romantic but relaxed atmosphere. In the summer their beautifully decorated patio is our favorite place to head for a gourmet burger and a beer, and the winter will... more
