We've been coming to Magwyer's for years and it's always been our favourite pub in town. Since they renovated it accommodates even more guests and has a wonderful atmosphere. We visit once a week at least for wing night with friends or for family dinners.

Can't handle large parties

We were a large party of friends. We were coming out for dinner and drinks. The food is not the greatest like people have stated in previous comments. The food all came out cold. The service was really slow. Food Orders were missed. They cater more to elderly and small families. Not impress on my first visit.

A nice friendly pub

Very good service, a decent menu with quite a bit of variety and a good selection of beers make this a great choice for a "pub night". A recently updated menu and extensive remodelling have turned around a pub that was starting to get a little run down. A good spot for supper and a couple of drinks with friends.

A Cut Above Usual Pub Fare

Have eaten at this decent pub many times. The food is much better than your usual pub fare and the menu extensive. Folks working the joint were friendly and included me in the hockey talk. Highly recommended for a good local stop if you are traveling to the atea on biz like I was.

Valentines Day Delight

Decided almost at the last minute to dine out for this special day. Booked the day before and chose our entrée. Since my wife and I both like sea food the lobster was the obvious choice.

I can't quit this place

Been a regular since it opened 15 or so yrs ago. Owners Tommy & Crystal are the best. Their staff is always on their toes & look after you. Lots of choices on tap, and food is always great.
They need to start offering local craft beers though, and some Ontario wine!
Looking forward to their new expansion.

Great food, bad service

The best wings I have ever had, but the service is horrible. I have had something wrong with my order every time I have visited. If you are particular about service that may pose a problem, but the wings and most of the items are amazing. Picture on profile is not taken at Magwyers, small place bit dingy looking.

This is the best pub in all of Ajax, great staff, great food! I love this place! I go there very often with my family on tuesdays for 59 cent wings or every 2nd thursday of the month oyester night! Bar is great food is always amazing and they have a nice variety of wing choices!

Apart from the old standards, chicken pot pie, chicken wings, fabulous fries etc., this pub does a lot of great dishes you don't usually find in a pub. Been going for years

Been going for years, hubby loves the food and it's one of the few places in ajax where you can order a proper drink. Wings, spicy chicken fingers, steak and guniness, stuffed yorkie. Everything on the menu is great. Place is usually busy and abit on the small side, but the place is a favorite of ours for years

I have lost faith in this place

Went there for years, but other than wings, food has become inconsistent, draft beer system is in serious need of upgrading as it is foamy and warm quite regularly now, and getting too many drunken sailors late at night.

Ate here four times as we passed through on two weekends. Had 3 - 6 people depending on the night. We kept going back because the menu has lots of choices and the food is good. Some in our party who do not drink found the non-alcoholic beverage choices limited, but the draft and cider were lovely.

Magweyers is a decent place to go for a few pints or dinner. They have a Tuesday wing deal that is quite popular. I used to book a reservation for 7:30 on wing night but sometimes would have to wait for my table for like 10 minutes. Definitely a local pub, if you want fine dining or a wine list you went to the wrong pub. If you want a good pint and pub grub then here is where you want to be. Great place to hang out and relax, do not forget to try thier wings.

Ordered wings, soup and beers. Soup was good... Wings were average at best. They tasted of stale deep fryer grease and were to large... Couldn't fit them into the small plastic dipping sauce containers provided. They were also under cooked for my liking. Beer tastes like the taps and beer hoses need a good flushing and cleaning.

Best wings in Ajax by far. Their Tuesday wing night is the time to go, but it gets busy quick so get there early! Lots of flavours to choose from.

I have visited this pub in a few occasions and am yet to have a bad experience. The beer is of a good quality( draft can be a bit dodgy at times) and the service is excellent.

My boyfriend at the time lived across in the street in the apartments so it was close and easy to get to.
Classic pub food. They finally renewed the look of the place. Before it was all old and tacky but now it looks quite nice.
