Rock hard baking and very minimal selection, coffee was good and venue is nice. Thankfully, as these are its only redeeming qualities. Food was inedible.
My daughter talked me into going to the Madhatter for coffee. The coffee was not bad, but I still prefer my Starbucks. I felt kind of shoved into the area we were sitting in.
small coffee shop offering a few baked goodies but the coffee is what you would stop here for. Roasted in house and very good. They have some nice cups of tea as well. Good place to stop with a friend.
They know how to roast a bean here. Matthew is a seasoned veteran when it comes to roasting coffee and treats it like the art and science that it should be. The baristas always greet you by name and with a smile. New ownership isn't as knowledgeable or experienced with coffee as the previous owner, but I hope they try... more
Everyone seems to love Tim Horton's but for my money, I'd rather have real coffee. Madhatter Coffee Roastery serves just that -- freshly roasted, fully flavored coffee. This is a small independent coffee house in the heart of downtown. The service is wonderful and it's a very family friendly place. They don't have a large selection of foods but they... more
This and the Inspire Café are my two favorite coffee houses. Right across from Tim Hortons one can wait in line for half an hour trying to get coffee and donuts. Or they can walk across the street and have freshly roasted coffee. The roasting machine is right in the center of the café and the scent of freshly roasted beans is everywhere. Slightly limited in the food department but still... more
Stopped for a morning snack, before heading west. Decent mocha, and good coffee. The pastries were quite good as well. The woman working was super nice. They also have beans for sale. One complaint is they only take cash.
Brilliant. Great place to hang. Support your local and independent coffee house.
quite a small place, but friendly service and great coffee! There's not much to eat, but what they have is home-made. There's usually cinnamon buns, carrot cake, ham'n cheese rolls, etc. No meals. Cute place.
This shop has the best atmosphere in the city. The old roaster is still in use in the middle of the floor and there's always a buzz when you're there.
The crowd's awesome - a mix of downtown business people and hipsters who come together over a great coffee.
Only thing it needs is wi-fi, although you can pick up...

One of the best coffee roasters in alberta. Great authentic atmosphere. Make sure to say hi to Kat and the gang.
The Roastery is NOT something you would expect to find in Medicine Hat. It is a west coast style coffee house, with great coffee and atmosphere. Their lattes are about the best that I have ever had.
This is a great coffee shop. The staff is really friendly and they have fresh home baked goods that are to die for. I had some homemade pumpkin pie and it was delish. If you are a Tim Hortons regular give this place a try, you won't be disapointed
What a cute little place in historic downtown Medicine Hat. We stopped in on the way out and we'll stop in tomorrow again. They have wireless, they roast their own beans, it's cute inside, and the coffee is good.
The neighbourhood business come here for their boosts too.
Madhatter Coffee Roastery offers these services: coffee.
