We came here craving lobster and left disappointed. I ordered the fall flavours festival special entree which was "Spanish lobster". It was a marinara style dish with fennel stalks on a bed of basmati rice. The flavour was very flat and lacked life. The lobster must have been sitting in the sauce for a very long time because it tasted like chewy tomatoes. My wife ordered the lazy mans lobster... more
I would not eat here again, I found it way over priced for the portion of food that you get on the plate. I had the lobster roll which was delicious, the view is very beautiful but that's pretty much all going for this place. A friend got a one pound lobster, side of coleslaw and baked potatoe and it cost 50 bucks, the plate looked sad .. Especially paying 50 bucks!
The fisherman's platter isn't worth 2 bucks, they give you like 3 of each shellfish, so you're paying purely for variety but not much of it.
The lobster dinner was great. Mussels were tender, but like all mussels, you get a lot of empty ones and it's more work than it's worth.
Solid restaurant, great servers.
Had the lobster dinner here. The price was $50 plus tax and tips. What came was a 1lb lobster, a potato and some vegs. The lobster was ok but the rest wasn't really that good. The price was a bit steep. Not going back.
Fisherman's Wharf is a bit of a drive but way better.
This is the place to dine in Charlottetown if you want a not-too-many-frills seafood dinner right on the water, though you do essentially pay a bit more in total cost for location. It also offers a great opportunity to stroll around the harbor before or after. Just remember the restaurant's parking lot has a 2 hour limit.
Appetizers were a cup of fisherman's chowder ($5.99) and a bowl of...

what looked like a trendy site on the wharf, turned out to be one of the best finds in Atlantic Canada. From the professional staff ( especially Devin), to the great food, the experience was our best in Charlottetown. No, we were not on the tour ship with the Mongolian hordes who expect to be fed at a trough for as little money as possible. American cruising tourists are crude, loud, ignorant,... more
My wife and I were on the Maasdam, docked at the end of the pier from this restaurant. We were on a two-week trip that included our first lobster roll ever (see my review of the Skipper on Cape Cod), our second in Halifax and third here. It was a gorgeous day and we were seated on the end of the restaurant's dock, looking out on our ship. So the atmosphere was five stars. Unfortunately, the... more
It was windy today, so windy the captain decided to anchor out and tender in the passengers who wanted to go ashore. Windy enough that when we got off the tender we were nearly blown off our feet. We hadn't had lunch on the ship, intending to have PEI mussels where they're freshest. After wandering through the shed looking at the sweatshirts and other homemade wares, we went out toward town.... more
This restaurant is getting much better. Service for the 2011 year is great, and food is good as always. The view is awesome, make sure you sit outside!
I think the prices are a little high for what you receive, I don't recommend straying too far from the typical Lobster meal, as everything is a tad overpriced.
Our waitress was lovely, and well mannered. The place wasn't very busy that...

Great family owned and operated restaurant that has fresh seafood and excellent staff, best in Charlottetown for lobster dinner!
The view from this restaurant is the only thing worth any money. My wife and I were on vacation in the Atlantic provinces and this was our first "lobster feast." What an utter disappointment. My wife had the "Lazyman's Lobster" which she said was "okay."
I had the "Lobster Risotto." What came to the table was a BIG bowl of rice with perhaps 2 tablespoons of small lobster pieces sprinkled on...

This seafood market and restaurant on the wharf offers good waterfront views of Northumberland Strait. There's table seating in the casual dining room (Hillsboro Room), lounge (Southport Room), and in the Fairview Room upstairs. There's also outdoor seating out on the wharf and on the decks.
We arrived here on a cloudy Thursday evening for dinner. Since it was a bit nippy outside, we were...
