Lush has the look of an old-fashioned deli with big wheels of cheese, slabs of sweets, and vats of dips and sauces, but all those displays are really soaps (custom cut from a block), shampoos, skin treatments, massage oils, and bath bombs made from all-natural ingredients.
This review isn't about the products, it's about the unnerving service. I cannot be the only one here to have been literally stalked by employees as I made my way through the store. Educating a customer on the product is one thing... Following someone around the store like white on rice, when that customer repeatedly says, "I'm just taking a look", "I'm just browsing", "NO really, thank you.. I... more
Ok, first off, one of the staff here told me I look like a hipster Mary Poppins - I think that tells you everything you need to know about how much I loved my time here!
The staff were genuinely friendly and super helpful and pointed me in the right direction with useful suggestions and handy demonstrations! I picked up some purple shampoo to make my white hairs extra shiny, and a bubble bar...

One of the best Lush stores I have ever been to. As Lush is a chain, and isn't individiually owned, all Lush products at each store are the same, but I would like to mention that the staff at this Lush were phenominal and so, so sweet. They were very respectful, didn't harass you or push you into anything and they were also very charismatic and sweet. I felt very welcomed when I came to get... more
Awesome soaps and their bath bombs are, quite frankly, the bomb. In addition to having great products and a stellar staff, their commitment to the environment and society is unwavering and noteworthy. I really appreciate a store that enhances me in not only a beauty sense but in other facets of my life. They are great!
LOVE! Handmade, all organic cosmetics that smell like heaven, never animal tested, no parabens, and they give a care about the environment!
I can't believe I haven't written a review yet for Lush on Robson. Love love love Lush!
I first heard of Lush reading Cosmo ~15 years ago. Then shortly after that, I was with a group of girl friends and someone started having a panic attack because she...

If you're looking to pamper yourself in the tub, this is the place to get those supplies. They stock bubble soap, foot scrubs, yummy smelling lotions and other amazing items. I personally loved the Stepping Stone Foot Scrub which smells delicious, isn't too strong, and leaves your feet happy. The staff takes their time answering your questions and had pretty good suggestions on what was best to... more
The staff at this location always tends to be very sweet and helpful which takes the sting off of the price tags a little bit.
I've now tried all the products I originally purchased, and have also made a handful of other stops to purchase MANY other items. I have loved nearly everything I bought! There is an option to return an item if you're not thrilled with it, however, I've chosen to keep them and just use them (and perhaps grow to love them).
The face cleansers and masks have transformed my skin!! I wish the...

Amazing service - very helpful and friendly staff. Just tell them what you're looking for and they'll provide an honest solution.
Love their shampoo soap bars, so great - last a long time and really makes a huge difference in my hair (and other friends that i've recommended)! Plus, there are tuns for all hair styles and goals you're looking to achieve.
Can never go wrong with a home-made mask...

I have extremely sensitive skin. The kind that gets dreaded candida overgrowth with products that have too many chemicals and unnatural fragrances in them, so for me, LUSH is paradise.
Yesterday I was in here and was helped out by an amazing woman named Amanda, who helped me pick out the perfect lavender bubble bath bomb for my sniffly man at home. She was helpful, polite, personable, and even...

I love LUSH a lot, but literally every time I go into this store -- even in the middle of the day on a Saturday -- the staff are just kind of milling around aimlessly or talking to one-another.
Normally in a store I like being able to just go around and try products on my own, but LUSH has "trained" me as a customer to demand a better experience. When I go into LUSH, I want to know what's new...

You can't go wrong w/ this location whenever you're on Robson; still like the bigger, brighter Metrotown store.
Knowledgeable, friendly staff who you can tell aren't on high-pressure sales like some retailers can be.
Though I was upsold to a primer for a hair colouring, so before applying the black dye, to use the red to even out the terrible whites i have lol. Does make sense, if this step...

I love things home made and natural, however, I find that although this stuff is pretty and smells good, I don't find it worth taking home at the cost of certain items. They've discontinued some of my favorite items and haven't had a reason to come back no matter how hard the sales associate tries to sell me on something. They have a powder that smells like candy which is to die for. I get this... more
I love shopping at this location because the staff are so friendly! I always leave with a smile on my face, though I have to admit sometimes I have to be a little forceful about coming in to get ONLY what I intended (otherwise their up-selling makes me spend far more than anticipated).
I like Lush products because they're vegan friendly and don't test on animals, and they make baths feel...

Reasons I love Lush:
- they don't test on animals
- a lot of the products are vegan
- the products actually do what they're advertised to do - ladies with curly hair I highly recommend the Curly Wurly shampoo
- staff are super friendly and helpful
- FREEBIES!
- in-store treatments
I did knock a star for the sometime pushy and over eager staff... I get that they are pumped about their products...

I love the staff here, each and every one of them!
I walked by and noticed they were finished with their renovations, so I decided to go in! I quite like the new space--they have way more products then before, and it's just more streamlined and easier to navigate!
I left with lotsa deodrant, face soap, perfume and a massage bar.
Ps. Mango Too + B-Scent = a winning sexy combination. ;)
Lush, I'm starting to develop a bit of a crush on you.
You've managed to turn me on to 2 amazing products:
It's Raining Men Shower Gel
&
Ro's Argan Body Conditioner
After layering these 2 goodies in the shower, I float out of the tub, enveloped in a layer of deliciousness.
I have to admit, I thought you were toying with me when you introduced me to 'Yummy, Yummy, Yummy' shower gel, and then...

I wish I could shop here all the time, but if I did, I'd have no money in my debit account.
The Godiva shampoo bar is fantastic. TRY IT, love it, and worship it. And cry over it when you only have a small piece left.
The customer service is really helpful there, but sometimes you get a few pushy ones who think I'm a tourist or something.
I want to run naked in a rainstorm, make love on a train cross-country.
It's called Lust.
It is the sexiest aphrodisiac I have ever smelled. Whoever said cinnamon buns were tops needs to get a whiff of this. Where did I first smell it? At a fetish club, on a topless lady in a tutu. I gently whispered into her ear, "what is that perfume you are wearing?" She grabbed my hand and rubbed it...

I love their stuff. They smell wonderful and it's pretty amazing. I do get overly stimulated whenever I step into the store or when I pass it but it's all good. They smell so good I don't care.
And I usually get amazing service whenever I am there. The other day, I went in with my sister who was looking for body butter and one of the sales associate showed us their different lines and we got...

Awesome!
Lush totally toned down on their must-sell-stuff insanity! I did not have my boyfriend's hand being grabbed without being asked and the staff did not just start putting samples all over his hands before asking if it was okay to do so. Mainly, I don't want to hold his hands if I'm going to get a rash from a product he has on his hands.
I used my discount coupon here and got a pretty...

I'm not sure why people dislike the service they receive at Lush.
I used to work in retail, and what I figured out is that if you don't like the product you are representing (or selling) you are way less inclined to be a friendly, knowledgeable and proud staff member. Wouldn't you want the staff of whatever store to be both friendly and knowledgeable about the company's product? Yes? Then...

I'm no longer as rabid about Lush as I was once, but it's still my favourite place to go when I want to pamper myself with girlie bath things.
The smell of a Lush store is instantly recognizable, and can be really h@!%!*n people who are sensitive to smells - I like it, but there are times when it overwhelms me and my nose wants to cry.
The products are fun but viciously expensive (for...

I may be in the minority, but I actually don't mind the smell. I sort of enjoy it as I walk by every morning.
The staff can be a bit much at times, but you gotta admire the enthusiasm when they do super dorky promos. And if you start tossing back snarky one liners, or make jokes (I may have very brightly suggested one of the bath bombs smelled like 'whore', with a giant smile on my face) they...

Talk about intense aroma!
You can smell this place from a block away, and that's kind of a good thing. I do like this place and everything I've purchased here except for the sparkle bar, that thing gets everywhere and you end up having sparkles show up in places you least expect them.
I love their soap and as long as you can handle the instensity of the smell, you will do fine.
However, this is...

This place smells like an early 1990's juniour high school girls' locker room, after they finish shampooing, applying their Tribe perfume, strawberry lip gloss, hairspray, Secret deodorant, and other various cloying girly things. It's a bit much. Yet intoxicating! But a bit much all the same.
Sensory overload can trick you into thinking you're getting something more substantial, for the price....

Throat closing, eyes watering... there must be a Lush nearby.
This location is no different than any others, save it's storefront on Robson. I have admired the staff members here for their resilience as they stand out side throwing bubble bath bubbles into the air and chanting lame marketing slogans. But man, don't they do it with enthusiasm!
I do love the huge blocks of soap at Lush. The...

Like other reviewers, I find the smell of Lush pretty overwhelming. When you're walking down the street and you can sniff the air and know that Lush is near - that's a mighty scent they're pumping out. Like the KFC of soaps, you might say. Okay, everyone loves Lush for the delicious soaps, bath bombs and who can resist the veganse conditioner? It's true, there are some products that I adore like the coconut body wash; sometimes I think I'd like to have it for dessert! I think I would get a major headache working in this store (the scent can be overpowering). Luckily, I am only a shopper, and can simply pop in and pop out again at a whim. I knew little about Lush Cosmetics before my tour-about-Europe in my late-teens, when I worked at the Lush store in Oxford, England for a short while. This was the first LUSH store I ever went to. I had fallen in love with the products shipped to me by a Canadian pal and knew this had to be one of the stops during my brief trip to Vancouver.
