Great place - owned by the son of the owners of the Merivale fish market next door.

We stopped in after our seafood dinner next door for Gelato. Simply amazing and a great selection. Our favorite Italian restaurant in Ottawa stopped making raspberry Gelato but Luigi had it.

Delicious

The lobster sandwich is absolutely delicious! I just wish that it was in a better location as the food is absolutely fantastic.

Fabulous sandwiches

Recently stopped in for lunch with a friend - what a surprise! We had an order of deep fried dill pickles with ranch sauce, a Po-Boy sandwich and the Braised Beef dip on olive ciabatta with caramelized onions and cheese comes with a side of "au jus" sauce for dipping! A great sandwich

Stopped in for some takeout. I had the tuna melt. The panini was perfectly toasted. The tuna was very tasty with chopped red onion and nottoo much mayo. The pasta salad in the display case looked very good. The arugala in the sandwich complemented the tuna very well. It was well wrapped and easy to eat while driving.

One of the Best Paninis I have ever had

Who knew a stretch of strip plazas would harbour a great panini place. I had perhaps the best panini I have ever had. I've been to Luigi Panini a few times - more when it opened and then again last week. I've tried a few of their paninis, which are large enough that you could split them. Tried a couple of take-out sandwiches and a salad. Portions were big enough to split and save half for another day if you don't want to pig out. Sandwiches were tasty but lacked flair. We'll try selections with more kick next time. My meatball special had a dime-sized chunk of bone in it. Could have chipped a tooth or choked.... more
