Magnifique resto italien!
One of my favorite Montreal restaurants. I have had the Veal Chop and the Seafood Pasta on many occasions. The consistency of food quality, cooking, and service make Lucca the best Italian restaurant in Little Italy. Have the chocolate lava cake, it's comparable to Cafe Ferrera on Peel. The menu choices are always innovative, since you order from a blackboard of market fresh items.
Place is Small and Cozy. Food is made with fresh produce and cooked to perfection. Wine list could have more options but included a variety of prices. Service was great, I cannot complain. Server was warm and very attentive. 2 people 2 courses and a bottle of wine 150$
Best Italian restaurant in Montreal.!! Great food and mostly best staff!!! Pasta, filet mignon, bison, all of it is awesome.
Montreal is a city known for great food and Lucca does not disappoint. The calamari are probably the best in the city! I've been here on multiple occasions for family dinners or just a nice dinner with my mom. It is a small, cozy restaurant with a European vibe because the menu is on a board that's read to you... plus
I had lunch there today with my wife and my sister. The sevice was very caring, fast and paying attention to rhe details. Everything was tasty and made carefully with high level ingridians. We loved the food and then the desert and the coffee as well. Very much recommended.
We went there on a Friday night with 6 friends (8 people). This is a small restaurant where the menu changes regularly and is written down on a black board. 5 or 6 appetizers, 5 or 6 main courses, a good wine list for every budget…The food was excellent as was the service. I would not recommend if you are... plus
The best Italian food in Montreal by Far! I've been to so many italian restaurants and none can compare to the experience you get when you eat at Lucca's
On our first visit here, we were pleasantly surprised by the tastiness of the dishes (I had the lamb sausage appetiser and duck main course, both of which were simple and delicious).
We were walk-ins on a Thursday evening, and were seated promptly with no fuss about us not having a reservation. It's a small place with a homey feel,...

Staying in Montreal, we took a trip up to Petite (Little) Italy for a look-see. Used TripAdvisor to find a place to eat - and found Lucca. What a great experience! Similar to small Italian restaurants in other "Little Italy's" in: Toronto, Boston & NYC.
We walked in at 6:30PM on a Tuesday - without a reservation (this is not...

We figured, given the reviews on trip advisor we must have missed something, or we were just unlucky. It is a what could be considered a local happening place; loud, a lot of young people, and waiters that appear to have just come from some local cafe...unfortunately this is one restaurant or scene, that does not pull it together when... plus
We've eaten here twice in the last 6 weeks. This is an excellent upscale Italian restaurant near the Jean Talon Market, not cheap but very definitely worth the price. Being vegetarian, we had real limited options on the daily menu the first time we went, and the waiter suggested that the cook could make vegetarian risotto (without meat stock) or... plus
The location on Dante street makes for difficult parking and the parking police catch violators; be warned. However, the restaurant islef is a gem. The food is clearly fresh, authentic, tasty and well presented. The service is reasonably fast but friendly and attentive. Dollar for dollar, thiss ithe best Italian food in Montreal.
Great food & dessert! Amazing service! Get a little too loud when it's a full house, but the food and service easily cover over the noise.
Yes its a small place but with BIG flavor. The hardest part is deciding what to eat. Well maybe its getting a place to park, LOL. Very nice wine list at good prices. Yum.
Lucca's dining room is small but cozy with a touch of rustic charm. I like their rocket salad and especially their calamari. The latter is very tender with a crispy tempura like coating. My main dish "jarret d'agneau" was good but so copious that i can only finish half of it. If i had known beforehand, i wouldn't order other... plus
I have been eating at Lucca for the past 10 years and the consistency, reliability and quality of this establishment continue to amaze me.
My last visit was for a family affair and everything from the wine ,a Pinot Nero(2 bottles),the appetizers which included a buffala di mozzarella with scrumtious tomatoes, a dish of grilled octopus and arugula salads were superb....

By far my favorite Italian restaurant in Montreal. It's a small dining room filled with charm and class. Go, you won't regret it. Make sure to order the chocolate souflee for desert, it melts in your mouth.
We loved the service and great Italian food. Our waiter was knowledgeable and friendly. Well worth a visit.
We decided to try this restaurant after the great reviews on tripadvisor. Unfortunately we left underwelmed. We had a 8pm reservation on a Saturday night. The table was ready for our party of 6. The place was bustling with people which is always a good sign. The waiter was nice explaining the italian menu to us. The menu was a... plus
The food is really good..love it..would eat everyday if I could...Maybe not the place Friday night or Saturday when it is very busy and a little loud..But we ate on a Tuesday night and the place was half full the service was great and the food very good.
One of the better restos in Little Italy. Food is very good, but not spectacular.
Great food, well presented, expensive but worth it.
For many years now, we have eaten at Lucca. It can get noisy. The ambiance is very laid back and the service friendly but professional .the menu has it's legendary and signature dishes. The wine list sometimes has it's very positive surprises. The
quality and portions of the food are extremely consistent and have never failed to pass the taste...

This place was extremely loud. Our service -- party of five -- was bad. The menu is scripted on a blackboard that was hard to read or understand. Like all the other tables, we needed the waiter to explain everything to us, but he was overworked, so we sat for a long time before we could even order cocktails. When... plus
Great food at a decent price. Good wine selection and price.
We were looking for an italian restaurant on St. Laurent and found this gem in little italy. Excellent ambience and italian food. Make a reservation, since the restaurant is cozy (but not crowded). Not too many locals know about this one, which is unfortunate. Try it and see....... plus
We had a really nice meal here - but beware, the pasta portions are enormous!
Had dinner at Lucca on Saturday night with 3 other people, we had an array of dishes from Filet mignon to risotto and pasta, everything was just delish! Highly recommended.
The only con was that this is a small place and it was jam packed so it was noisy, of course it was a saturday night, it's probably quieter on...

Small cozy restaurant in the heart of little Italy, with excellent 4 star italian cuisine
Very good but a bit cold Italian restaurant.
love that small resto family run biz! great food, grilled meats and fish excellent.

Elegant yet unpretentious, consistently and unwaveringly delicious every time! Linguini al frutti di mare con vino bianco - one of the best in the city that I have had !
best salad and pasta very yummy!

Italian "cucina rustica" in an intimate little bistro in the heart of "Petite Italie." The chalkboard menu features a varying list of special dishes that are prepared with seasonal ingredients and a permanent list of Italian staples such as risotto and fresh pastas. Try the signature veal chops in a wine sauce reduction or any of the seafood, especially the squid. The wine list predictably has... plus
