Nothing special, decent food
Also high prices. A plain Jane restaurant with good food. Crampt. Not a place for a special event.

Always great service and food

Poor quality, expensive
August 08, 2013While walking in the neighborhood looking for somewhere to eat, we chanced upon this old established restaurant - I assume it's a neighborhood fixture. No tradtional fare here - straight up chicken balls (which our 6 year old really enjoyed!). Won't stop here again, sorry Look Ho Ho!

Might be the worst I've ever had
October 13, 2012Trying to find good Chinese in Halifax is tough and this place certainly isn't it...egg rolls are mushy pasty thing we couldn't even take a second bite of, the chicken balls were swimming in goop, fried rice tasteless ( would it kill you to throw some onions in there!) and chow mien just as bad. Still Great
July 08, 2012My husband took me to the Look Ho Ho for our first date 37 years ago and we are still going back. We went for the lunch special today and I agree with others...the best egg rolls anywhere. They are very rich and tasty. Worth the trip!

Halifax tradition and love the eggrolls
June 11, 2012The restaurant has been around for 50 years likely mainly because of the eggrolls. If you like meat eggrolls, these are worth trying. The rest of the food is average- too hot because it has been microwaved. It is old-fashioned with booths and has not been updated in years but it feels like a typical Chinese restaurant in Canada.

Cleanest, most yummy Chinese restaurant in Halifax
February 19, 2012In 25 years, we've never had a meal that we didn't totally enjoy. Always fresh, hot, tasty eats. Staff are friendly and experienced. Never feel that you are a 'bother', but that they truly enjoy serving.

This place has been in business for years, but this was my first time here. Our son raves about the food, so on a visit to Halifax to see him, we dropped in. Decor is dated but the place including the restrooms was very clean.
The waitress was friendly and extremely efficient. The menu has lots to choose from including...

March 10, 2010Some people think this place is overrated, but they make great Szechuan and Cantonese dishes, and their meat egg rolls are delicious. Their combo platters are well-priced, and the service is quick and friendly (but you never feel rushed).
