went for pre dinner befor theatre and was great by one of the servers in an very friendly manner. left it up to her to surprise me with a beverage and she made me her specialty. But was then approached by another server who was taking our order and she was not friendly. same food, no inspiration, couldn't work around... more
A fun and different experience. Portions are huge and each meal has it's own presentation. What to try something different (not bad) this is the place. I've eaten here several times. I keep going back.
First time I went to Lola's was to try new things. I've been going back ever since!! LOVE the food, I never order the same thing twice, as I want to try everything on the menu.
Great food, you definitely get what you pay for.
Best food u have had at any restaurant. The food is so flavorful you just want to try more and more. Great friendly service.
This restaurant is a little bit different than the average, the décor is modern and colorful. The food is very good. This was my first visit to Lola's, we tried an appetizer that was quite good. I had the gnocchi with the gorgonzola cream sauce that was absolutely amazing! Dessert was a truffle chocolate cake which was good but a... more
Four of us, seniors, ate there early on Victoria Day ( May 19 ) evening. There were no others there on arrival and only three on leaving. It was clearly a slow day it being the day it was. My wife and I had the same basic entree, except that I had a Caesar's salad in addition, while the other... more
Went here for dinner and drinks. Decor was cute and spunky. We sat at a little booth against the wall with funky lights over our table. Our server didnt seem very pleased to attend to us, and we felt unwelcomed and a bother. We started off with the calamari , which was rubbery and over cooked. For my entree I... more
This restaurant has added to Sarnia what we were missing for so long...a bit of chique wrapped in 70's style created by a woman with a flair for design & respect for the original diner decor. See if you can see the original burger joint within this fine dining atmosphere!
The cook at Lola's creates food that is tastey &...

Never had a bad meal there. Great lobster risotto great drinks great lamb fish great spicy pasta great oysters rocks fellow
Love going here for the food, wine & atmosphere one of the best restaurants downtown Sarnia. Great place for lunch or dinner.
Lola's has an interesting and varied menu. It hasn't changed much in the last 5 years, but people have their favourites and so those items stay on the menu. The food is usually well prepared and there are some innovative pairings. There is a large group of 'regulars' who seem to love Lola's. The atmosphere is retro and funky with... more
Great place to,gather with friends! Food was delicious, I had the Thai Pad and my husband had steak.
Decor is unique, food is good, service is quite sufficient. Value is good. Parking is adequate, nearby and inexpensive in the area. It is worth a trip to Lola's Lounge.
We found this place a few years back. We were in a place we didn't know well, did not want fast food or bar food and came across this amazing gem. The name is deceiving, but the food is just awesome!
We have been back every time we go to Sarnia and will be again. The muscles are just amazing,...

This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Sarnia, hands down!!! Try the thai hot pot or the rack of lamb or the musells or the eggplant parmasen or their lobster ravioli...IT IS ALL SOOOO GOOD!
The atmosphere was chic and the servers were very friendly. The special of Ahi Tuna was amazing as well as the seafood pasta. The chef is great and has a great flair for taste and presentation. I totally recommend checking the place out. Also, the martinis are amazing and they have a great variety. Loved the experience.
Love the atmosphere, the food is awesome, the service is excellant, especially if you have food allergies as I do, they accommodate me every time. It's a little pricey but worth every penny!
We visit Lola's once every couple of months. The atmosphere is great and the art and decor change on a varying frequency.
The food is consistently well cooked and well presented. My recommendation for the main meal is the Tango Thai Hot Pot. An awesome combination of ingredients and you're guaranteed to have leftovers. They also have a good offering...

Loved the food, service and atmosphere was fabulous!!! I go a lot with my girlfriends, it's always a good time
This restaurant has wonderful food that is creatively presented. The service is antastic too. A favourite spot of ours for a couple's night out.
Everything is good and service & drinks are just wonderful.Have been there many times, Never dissapointed. We love the decor,it is one of a kind. If in Sarnia, try it, you will like it. Quality drinks .
This restaurant makes the best pickerel dish I ever had. They make it with berries and grapes. The Mango Hot Pot is also very good. I suggest start with the muscles.
I was brought to Lola's by a friend, otherwise I honestly would've never even found it. The decor is pretty awesome, however although I loved the lighting (blue and red) and it was incredibly cool, it is very h@!%!*n your eyes and if you're prone to headaches, dinner will become painful!
The restaurant itself is pretty cramped, very narrow...

Lola's Lounge is a small restaurant in the heart of downtown Sarnia, Ontario Canada. It located next to the Public Library and across the street from the Main Post Office in Christina Street. The restaurant is rather small with the dining area measuring approximately 20 feet wide and 60 feet long, so it is not a place for quiet and... more
I have been here many times and the food keeps bringing me back. It is on the pricy side so not a place I am gonna go to often, but my wife and I love it for celebrating special events and dates. Nice and intimate, service is good and pretty funky atmosphere. One of Sarnia's best restaurants.
I have been to Lola's several times because I love the food. I usually get french onion soup and the Hot Pot but have tried several other dishes and loved all those too. It is a pricier place but the food is excellent. I have been served several times now by a woman that is not too friendly and always... more
What a funky little spot Lola's is! Yes, it is very small and certainly not conducive to conversation, however, we've returned 3 or 4 times and try to either get there before or after the busy lunch hour that way you can avoid the noisier crowd! There are definitely a number of items on the menu to return for and... more
After eating here, I found myself scratching my head. What did I just pay for? It was loud, cramped, our meal was rushed; we had our entrees before we were even half done the apps. Sadly the entree was swimming in some unearthly sauce and a garnish over the top. Our waitress was more then happy to push us threw... more
This overly small restaurant tries too hard in many areas. The food is average, the wine list is good, the service is good, some might say rushed. The menu is far too extensive and almost every entree is drowned in some sort of sauce. From the starters to a Thai experiment the quantity is simply too much. There are usually... more
Our third time dining here while visiting Sarnia. It's a small place that you might miss if locals hadn't recommended it. Once we found Lola's we now make a special effort to eat here. Well worth it.
My friend and i had dinner at Lola's before going to the theatre. The restaurant was very busy so many people must enjoy dining here, but my friend and I did not. The food was just okay and very over priced. I am fussy about my food and have travelled all over the world dining at many restaurants and just... more
For me this was the best place in Sarnia. Well prepared entrees that were more ambitious that the typical fare offered by other 'higher-end' Sarnia restaurants. Long narrow dining room is a bit noisy.
Great food and fun atmosphere combined made a great dining experience. Thai Hot Pot was amazing. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals. Friendly, attentive service.
This is an excellent gem in Sarnia's downtown. The eclectic decor makes for a fund dining atmosphere. The menu is as varied and eclectic as the decor. As an appetizer, I recommend the crab cake sliders. As an entree the Thai Hot Pot is fantastic as is the Kung Pao Chicken. There are also wonderful daily features and good seafood... more
Great food, amazing service, chill-vibe, eclectic-artsy decor.
Daily specials.
Plenty of vegetarian options.
Great intimate, busy restaurant for intimate dinners, cosy atmospher, but full of life. Food is amazing! Have been here many times and am never disappointed!
This is a favorite restaurant for me. Nice atmosphere, good food, reasonable prices, sign me up. I love the Thai pot
Place reminds one of an old fashioned watering hole. Long and narrow. Bar on one side and booths along the wall on the other. Funky lighting including colored lights over the booths which initially is disconcerting. That seems to disappear when the food arrives. The clam chowder with added shrimp, scallops and mussels is among the best we have tasted... more
Only one wait staff member on, so service was a little slow, but the food is worth the price. It's the most expensive restaurant around, but the quality of the foo reflects it. And you have GOT to try the brie, it was the best appetizer, so sweet. I'm salivating thinking about it!
It's small, cozy, funky, sexy & unique place that will put smile on your face and will make your day better either you go for lunch, afternoon drink, supper or late night drink with friends, loved ones or by yourself. If you expect room filled with tv's, average food, drinks & atmosphere go to franchise average restaurant - there are... more
This is by far the best option in Sarnia. It is not a top nothc restaurant if we were a major city but for Sarnia, I cannot think of anywhere better for food and price and is not another run of the mill chain restaurant.
Lola's is always a fun place to share meals & or drinks with friends. You can't be wait to visit again.
Had been waiting for a chance to go to Lola's since hearing about the superb rack of lamb dish served there. I was not disappointed, it was fabulous, cooked medium with mashed potato and a selection of veggies, yum. Service was friendly and timely, price was very reasonable.
Lola's is a great place to go for lunch or dinner. It has a funky interior that is interesting and fun.
The food never disappoints. My husband had the steak special that came with twice baked potato and asparagus . I had stuffed chicken on thin noodles with sun dried tomatoes and pine nuts. You could get a cream or...

Its funny how many people I have talked to lately who have told me how bad the service was at Lolas, as well as how nasty a certain server is there. I experienced it on the weekend. This place will get more and more less popular if you keep her around, so go right ahead. Remember, when you have good... more
Went here yesterday for a very late lunch. This is our third or fourth visit in the past few years. I should have written a review before now - so here goes:
Our meal was awesome. We heard the specials: roasted garlic soup, spring rolls and a ravioli with lobster meat. Well, that sounded perfect - we ordered all three...

You know you're somewhere "different" when you walk in the door. Lighting, artwork & atmosphere is colorful and eclectic. The menu is full of interesting and different items and definitely not the usuals in most places. Tenderloin Chopped salad was fabulous. I liked the salad with the Scallops the last time I was there too. I'll be back!
Love this place. Best rack of lamb in Sarnia. The fish is seldom overcooked, great salads, great music, interesting art work that is changed regularly. Love the atmosphere and the magic coffee.
Their chunky monkey martini is the best chocolate martini ever!
ALL GOOD!!! Tequila Mussels are my favorite... EVERYTHING is wonderful. If you have an opportunity find this out for your self. Call ahead, the word is out!!!
