We came here to get fresh seafood to cook at our accommodation. The service was good and the seafood was fresh. Definitely a place I would come to get seafood - beats going to the grocery store!
Food was good, but the noise level caused by 2 kids at the next door table ruined the dining experience not just for us but for other 2 couples seated in the same room.
Suggestion for the Host or Hostess - seat the families with small kids in one area and mature couples (whose kids are adults) in another area.
Great spot on wharf, food disappointing , stale buns, chowder pasty? Mussels dry, no sauce but with sand . Oysters small but the clams were good. Sautéed Scallops not prepared correctly, must be inexperienced kitchen staff . Recommend for drinks and apps only,
The service was excellent and the staff very friendly. The location, right at the water's edge, is perfect. The fish and chips were so good that we went back again 2 days later for more. And I am not usually a fish and chip fan!
We enjoyed this restaurant right on the waterfront in Charloottetown. The dinner for two was out of this world yummy! 3 lbs of mussels, a 2lb lobster each plus a bottle of wine. The waitstaff were very friendly and helpful. Our waitress, Sydney, was outstanding. We enjoyed it so much we went back for a second time during our stay.
The views were great and so was the seafood chowder with side of bread. We shared a bowl but could have each had our own. Also, the peel your own shrimp were fantastic and very tasty. Reasonably priced too.
Nice, casual restaurant right on the wharf in Charlottetown. Friendly staff, good food. I'd go back anytime.
We were there,my husband and another couple for supper. Great crab cakes, fish ´n chips was the best I ever ate ,the fish chowder was succulent ,plenty of mussels and the desserts are to die for.
Me and my buddy had about an hour to kill one afternoon so we decided to head to Lobster-On-The-Wharf for a few drinks and maybe an app. We sat upstairs on the patio and I can honestly say the view was amazing. We each had a bowl of the Lobster Bisque and split an order of Crab Cakes. Both were... more
we arrived in Charlottetown at lunchtime and were hungry. No time to shop around for "the best place in town", so we did what we rarely do: go to the obvious, next best place, although it looked a bit like a tourist trap at first sight.
The deck out back is great! a bit shaky in the strong wind gives...

Great way to start our PEI vacation. Food was awesome! The chocolate torte was fantastic. Lots of lobster, plenty of mussels.
My wife and I were referered to this restaurant when we asked about a waterfront place to eat as we are from the prairies with no ocean view. The staff was fantastic and showed us how to eat the lobster. The view was fantastic. Food great. Service great. Price was pretold to us as it goes by the market price.
We were visiting Charlottetown from Texas and were looking for a nice restaurant by the harbor Lobster on the Wharf was just the place for us. The lobster, shrimp and crab cake combination was very good. My dad and brother preferred something other than seafood and there were several good options to choose from. We sat outside and had an... more
The food wasn't bad but it wasn't anything special either. Bread was plain boring dinner rolls from the grocery. It was too windy to sit outside but the views were nice.
Lobster on the Wharf was recommend by a local - we were skeptical because the restaurant is in a very touristy area on the waterfront.
We were greeted by the friendly staff and seated outside per our request. Our server was extremely nice and attentive. We ordered mussels with the white broth and our daughter ordered the fish (cod) and...

Fun restaurant with a great outdoor deck. Varied menu, busy spot, and tasty drink menu. Chilly at night, but they will bring you a blanket if you ask!
Food was OK. We did the "create your own" meal wherein we got to chose a ton of seafood to make up a table full of shareable food including quahogs, lobster, crab...

We had the Lobster Feast for two!!! Oh my goodness!!! We each had a 2 lb lobsta along with mussels, salad!! Everything was GREAT!!! Our waiter was David....He was great!!!!
went back the next day after our Harbour Hippo cruise to have desserts and drinks. Love this restaurant....We got to sit out on the deck both times!!!!! Taylor was our...

Like everywhere in PEI, the service was terrific - friendly and very attentive. Sitting out on the deck, right on the water's edge, it was almost secondary that the food itself was only average. Nothing to complain about - the food was OK - it just wasn't up to the level of the facility and the service, and probably a... more
We sat outside in perfect weather watching an oil tanker unload at the dock. The lobster quiche was wonderful, the service was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves lobster!
We showed up on what tuned out to be a rainy July evening. After sitting outside, we came in when the rain started. I had a 1.25 lb. lobster and my wife had the chicken breast with cranberry sauce. The food was good, lobster was well cooked and came with a choice of sides. I had the broiled red potatoes... more
This restaurant offers a good view of the harbor. The menu includes a selection of wonderful local oysters and lobsters. The local blueberry beer was very good with a noticeable but mild blueberry flavor that did not overpower the mild beer. The strawberry/rhubarb crumble was very good as well. And prices were reasonable considering the quality of the food. Should... more
As one might expect based on its location, this restaurant is a bit expensive. But it really is a pretty place to eat, right on the harbour, and the food is decent. I had a grilled lobster tail with a salad, which wasn't a huge amount of food, but very tasty. My chocolate cake was a bit dry, but I... more
Our server was busy but always made sure to check in and let us know what was happening. We didn't feel forgotten. The food is good but nothing over-the-top-great for the price. Fish and chips were tasty and a good sized portion although the batter was a little heavy.
Again our server was great when taking care to ensure our...

I had lunch here today and really enjoyed it! The crab cakes are the tastiest I've had & the deck is the best in Charlottetown without a doubt. Service was great. I'll be back!
We had musels and lobster. Staff were very friendly and service was good. Food was also very good. Would defiitely recommend this restaurant.
Have been there twice this summer, while I absolutely love the on the deck dining on a nice day, the food was bland both times and very costly, presentation of the food was excellent but it stops there!
Nice location. The manager (owner?) had a good attitude and we felt welcome. The waitress was attentive at the beginning but after she was too busy. She forgot my second drink and charged it on the bill. She was a kind person but she didn't really excuse herself for this and the slow service. The appetizers were very good: seafood... more
Food wasn't bad, but spent $40 for lunch. Felt it to be a little of a tourist trap type of place. Would probably not go back for the restaurant, though the fish market attached seemed more reasonable.
Just completed a 2,156 mile road trip - out of all the place we dined - Lobster on the Wharf was by far the best - maybe TONY the waiter had a lot to do with the dinning experience - Tony was a pleasure to dine with ..besides this great place we had numerous positive experiences - Break down for... more
We are oysters lovers.
No question on the freshness of the food, but they were not cleaned enough and many pieces of the shell were presents.
Nice view on the deck tough.
Very ordinary food. Many better lobster options in town. High priced for quality. Outside location on dock is pleasant and staff is friendly.
We've eaten here a number of times on various trips to PEI and we've never been disappointed. This last visit was made better because our waitress, Taylor, was so friendly and helpful.
If you can't sit outside because of the weather, ask for a table overlooking the water.
My favorite dish is the Lobster Poutine!
Beautiful place for a dinner on the wharf. It may be a little expensive but the lobster was tender, sweet and cooked to perfection. I am now convinced that you can not beat a PEI LOBSTER. The lobster bisque was entirely different then what I am use to and it warranted 2 cups. Taylor our waitress covered a lot of ground... more
Setting and view are very good, but the lobsters were pricey. All four of us ordered 1 1/2 LB. lobsters, which were tasty, sweet, and fresh. Prices were somewhat high at $40 each, so basically you pay for the view on the waterfront. Atmosphere was pleasant but nothing special inside.
With appetizers, drinks (1 bottle of wine), deserts, tax and...

My co-workers and I were in town recently and decided to have lunch here on our first day, and our last day.
The décor and atmosphere of the restaurant is definitely charming, and the view is phenomenal. You are literally on the water, and it was wonderful sitting on the deck, enjoying some sun, some breeze and some shade under...

I beat the lunch rush and received great service. The food was on the pricier side, but not entirely unreasonable. I most enjoyed the lobster bisque; I started with one cup and ended my meal with a second.
The view on the bay is great...eat on the terrace if possible..service was very good ..all personnel was very nice.Lobster was great but expensive..in my opinion worth it anyway
This is a nice restaurant which has a lovely outdoor seating behind directly on the water. The Oysters were fabulous, as was a 1 1/4 lbs lobster. The oysters, Malpeque, were just large, fresh, with a slight salty taste. We had lunch, but imagine the evenings would be great. The bill was $149 with a 20% tip, and without any alcohol.... more
Every thing taste of the same spice. Planco breading on all seafood takes away from the fresh seafood. On PEI the seafood will be fresh enough to give its own unique flavor, (do not take this away ).
We made a decision to have lunch on shore and not go back to the cruise ship and this location with it's fresh lobster store on the left side caught our attention. The lobster store had several 1 to 1 1/2 pound lobsters ready for purchase. We went inside the restaurant connected to the building and were greeted and seated... more
We had so looked forward to a great dinner experience but hit a night when staff were overwhelmed. Lobster bisque good but extremely long wait for platter resulted in barely warm and rubbery lobster tail, crab cake with hair in it and cold sides. Scallops were great tho. Management did right by us and covered the costs and for that... more
Enjoyed a nice lunch, had the lobster bisque, quite good. Curried cream mussels were very good. Shrimps in white wine sauce not much flavour.
Great overall dining experience ,more so if you can dine outside. Variety on menu ,excellent service and reasonably priced --would recommend.
We walked and were greeted. It took us a few minutes to order our meal. It was hit, tasty and the service was really good. I would recommend this eatery to everyone.
I eat here often when in the city. Great seafood. Amazing location overlooking the harbor. Casual dining. The atmosphere here is fantastic with the view of the water. Can eat outside in warmer weather also facing the water. If you are in the area, do try this place out.
We just arrived in Charlottetown late in the afternoon and was looking for a restaurant on the wharf area. The concierge recommend Lobster-On-The-Wharf. The seafood was very good at very reasonable prices. The décor was just average but nice restaurant.
Delicious place to sit down and dine. We had a wonderful lunch when we were in Charlottetown. Clean, scenic place to enjoy a meal with the family. We had lunch with our little ones both of them got crayon and paper to be entertained while the meal came. Friendly staff and a good place to enjoy fresh seafood.
Great place, the lady who helped us was great!
Although I found my lobster a little chewy it was tasty and still delicious!
We found it a tad pricy but we figured as much going to a place like that, ( although still cheaper than what we can purchase seafood for in Alberta)
I would defiantly go again!
Our first visit to PEI this past August - and we found this to be our 'favourite' place to eat - servers were attentive and friendly and the food was fabulous. The views from the deck area were also a special added treat. A definite venue to visit !
Went for lobster but was told a 2 lb. lobster's market price is $50, smaller ones (1 lb.) are no less than $25 while I can have a 2 lb. for $19 in Summerside and Shediac for $17. Oysters are fresh, $2.50 for medium size, $3.75 for large ( but not huge), meals are very light so you had to... more
Had the deep fried clams here. Fresh shucked and man could you ever tell the difference! I will definately be getting this again this summer.

Great location directly on the water. Located on Charlottetown harbour, the dining room provides a gorgeous view. One can watch cruise ships, sailboats or the beautiful Island scenes. Add fresh P.E.I lobster and seafood and you have a truly enjoyable dining experience. Excellent atmosphere and great food.
We are located at 2 Prince St. Wharf in historic Charlottetown, PEI. You cannot get any closer to the water with over half our dining area being over the water at high tide. Lobster On The Wharf specializes in a wide variety of seafood and has great options for the landlovers and kids as well. We have more outdoor seating than anywhere else on PEI.
