Every time I walk into the plaza , the first thing I smelled it the sweet yummy bread smell that come from their bakery. Love their tarts and bread ! They are the best Chinese bakeries I had in Markham.
I always buy lot of them and put it in the fridge, no worry it will become dry and hard. Just need to put in a toaster oven it still taste the same and that's my yummy breakfast or snack!
Whenever I go to Markham, I try to make a stop at this bakery. This is another favourite as they always seem to have FRESH buns, pastries and egg tarts coming out.
They have regular egg tarts (cookie and pastry) , milk tarts and Portuguese tarts- everytime I make a stop, I always pick up a few!
The buns are pretty good as well and there is a variety. For some reason with the amount of items...

Portuguese tarts = absolute fave. I give 5 stars because they carry a variety of tarts aside from just egg tarts. The coconut was moist and the milk was not too sweet but still decent and the eggs were also good. Flakey, but good.
I like their large selection of $9.99 cakes. They have other more expensive ones, like their famous durian cake for 12.99, and it's all under 20 for everything premade.
Their regular breads are 50% off after like 6pm, what a great deal. I usually come check out this place after I have dinner at one of the many restaurants at the plaza.
There's another bakery at the mall owned by the same owner,...

Well, despite the fact Les Chateaux and Sunnie Bakery are both under the same owner, Sunnie trumps Les Chateaux in quality. That being said, Les Chateau is definitely not the worst bakery I've been to.
The buns in this place seem to be in some permanent 20% discount, as I've never had them charge regular price to me...ever. As with most Chinese bakeries, if you buy 6 items you don't have to...

For their clean presentation and their totally delicious egg tarts which are better than any I've ever had!!! :D
My friend's father ordered a Thomas the Tank Engine cake for her son's birthday and prepaid for it. When he went to pick it up it wasn't done, not even started! They said it would be done the next day...party obviously being in a few hours. They tried to sell him 2 smaller cakes and give a $4 discount. Should have been free in my opinion for a gross misunderstanding of information, and not... more
Usually the first bakery we head to on our vacations. This time I picked up a sandwich a few snacks and a cake for the hotel stay. Should have definitely gotten mango and might get that next time. A friend told me how good chestnut cake was so I got a chestnut chocolate and it is a rather bland flavor to me. Also this is not the only place that will charge you $1.50 for plastic cutlery. But... more
Came in with the intention to see if there's any individual portioned chestnut cake. Didn't see any but they do have a good selection of whole cakes for their $9.99 offer. Chestnut and Chocolate cakes sounds good, but not enough people at home to share with today so maybe next time.
As I was eyeing the cake case, the woman behind the counter said the egg tarts are fresh out of the oven, so I...

Chinese Bakeries are a dime a dozen but if you want Egg Tarts or any pastry-intensive item like Napoleon Cake, this is hands down the my King of it all in my books.
Many of my friends who are from Hong Kong can attest to the Egg Tarts being the flakiest and tastiest they've had since Hong Kong.
The tarts come out fresh often because people tend to come in and order half a dozen or more...
