My husband and I have been dining here for at least 15 years, and it has been consistently good. We always go for lunch, and go early as it gets pretty busy at noon. Food is always hot, freshly prepared, and very tasty. Service is exceptional, and prices are reasonable. We most often have green onion cakes, Vietnamese noodle bowls... more
This is a place where friends meet for coffee. They serve the best cafe latte in town. It's like home away from home.
They have a regular crowd, we go there at least once a week and we always see familiar faces.
People sit & visit for hours enjoying the pastries, panini, soup and more.
Nobody is in a rush....

Coffee (always fantastic),thin crust pizza (in west Edmonton) -the best anywhere, service also very good.
Both the Italian Centre and Southside locations make for a great lunch/coffee outing. Soups. pizza, pannini, sweetbreads and of course, that latte and expresso that coffee lovers go for.
This place is a favorite. Excellent food, prepared from fresh ingredients.... I have often pondered someday getting a job washing their dishes just so I could learn their recipes! Staff is friendly, and you end up full for a great price. All around awesome!
I have been going to the Lemongrass Cafe when I visit Edmonton for many years and, while I have tried other Vietnamese restaurants, this is the best by a long way. After my latest visit today, I thought I should add my thoughts to TripAdvisor. I wish I could say that I had eaten my way through the menu, but... more
This is right across from work and people I know eat there quite a bit. The say how good the food is and it always looks good. I ordered over the phone for pickup. I asked the lady if the curry I was ordering came with rice. She asked me what number it was and said yes # whatever ok.... more
The Lemon Grass Cafe is a wonderful place for lunch or dinner. We have eaten there serval times and the food is always fresh and very tasty in a family run restaurant atmosphere. The menu is extensive and provides a wonderful range of choices for vegetables or meats, and reasonably priced. For a quick lunch, the Vermicelli bowls can't be... more
I ordered a no.33 take out with rice but when I reached home, it was noodles instead, even though I had specifically asked for rice! And the quality of the food was poor and it was very expensive. When I called the reataurant, the person who answered was defensive. I wont go there ever.
When I go for a nice dinner, I can truly appreciate a great steak or fresh halibut....but these are foods I love...not foods I actually crave, and I can honestly say I get CRAVINGS for the #32 vermicelli noodle bowl at Lemongrass. I live almost 30 minutes away and have many times driven in strictly for the oh so delicious... more
We went on weeknight to the restaurant. It was rather quiet. The food was good, the kitchen was quick but the service was so indifferent. The only smile we got was a few seconds before punching the tip amount... more
I love this place. It is simple and still very elegant.
Food is excellent. Love their rice noodle bowls.
The portion is a good size I would maybe like to see more shrimps in the #40 though.
Love them Love them Love them….I would be able to fill up on those alone. They could be a little cheaper though.
My boyfriend and I love vietnamese food and this place is near our condo so we thought we should try it. I have to say this place was great!!! I don't know why so many people are giving it bad reviews. The food was tasty and we didn't have to wait to long, it was fairly priced and the service... more
We tried this restaurant for the first time and didn't go back. I mean the food was okay, nothing extraordinary, a little pricier since there aren't very many Vietnamese restaurants in south Edmonton but my bf got really sick after coming here. Maybe it was a one off thing but if you are willing to drive a bit, i definately... more
Lemongrass Cafe is a very casual establishment – a good place to go in jeans or shorts. The decor is pleasant, and the restaurant appears clean. Ample parking as it is located in a small mall in south Edmonton. Reservations are not required
Service at the restaurant is a little spotty – but efficient. The restaurant is very busy, and the waiters were hopping.
The menu prices, area, as others...

Clean, well decorated restaurant. Service although inconsistent is usually average or slightly above average.
The strength of the Lemongrass is the food, Vermicelli dishes are usually very solid and I’ve rarely been disappointed in exploring the menu a little more.
The biggest draw back with LC is the prices, Vietnamese food is generally much cheaper everywhere else and Its hard to not get...

best vietnamese in edmonton. suggest the basil beef and excellent kim chi and curry shrimp. atmosphere pretty lame though.
A group of us from work ate here recently, and I had my usual at any vietnamese restaurant - a vermicelli bowl with spring rolls, and grilled beef and chicken.
Others had plates ranging from curried vegetables and beef, while some had various spicy soup bowls.
The portions are quite generous, though I found my vermicelli bowl still not as...

Really good vermicelli bowl with chicken and spring rolls.
Salad rolls are good, as is the Lemongrass chicken in spicey coconut sauce. Vermicelli bowls are also good.
Again I don't remember what I had !!
A bit pricey food quality is good and service is decent
Always a good meal. The martini with mint is fantastic.
Always a good meal. The martini with mint is fantastic.
Really good vermicelli bowl, with chicken and spring rolls.
This place is a gem for tasty Vietnamese food. As a vegetarian, I have been a little spoiled with the vast and most comforting Vietnamese vegetarian options. Lemongrass has the greatest and latest menu selection for the carnivore and vegetarians. Nice décor, delicious food, and great dining experience... but I have to admit the portions are a way to BIG…for it’s very reasonable price. :) Guess... more
Tasty place for Thai and Vietnamese food! Way cheaper and just as yummy as at the King and I. The atmosphere and decor don't have the same air of luxury as the King and I; however, it's a cute, family-run restaurant.

Lemongrass Cafe is a Vietnamese, Chinese, and Vegetarian restaurant where most Menuism users came for fun with friends, paid between $10 and $25, and tipped more than 18%.
Despite its somewhat off-the-beaten path location and an admirable reluctance to advertise, Lemongrass is a thriving little café that relies of word of mouth for its loyal and ever-expanding list of regulars. Traditional Vietnamese cooking is the focus: lovely curries combining all manner of meats, vegetables and fruits in spicy sauces redolent of coconut milk, lemongrass, chiles and basil.... more
