I have been for breakfast, lunch and dinner, for personal and business reasons, and every meal has been superb. The presentation of the meals were impressive and then when you taste it...all I could say was hummmm. Love the restaurant look and all the staff make you feel very welcomed. My feeling is this restaurant offers the whole package -... more
We have tried this place when it was called Maple Leaf and now The Leaf.
Been here about 2 dozen times only for breakfast. Never really had a bad meal.
Price 8/10
Quality 8.5/10
Service 7.0/10
Atmosphere 8.5/10
I recommend to friends and family.
My finance and I were looking for a place to have a late lunch/early dinner. We found the Leaf. What a pleasant surprise!! Our server was Marie. Cheerful, attentive, helpful and very efficient. I had the hot hamburger sandwich and Jane had the gyro. Both scored very high on presentation, quality and quantity.
We will definitely return.
We were in between two games of hockey at the WFCU and needed a bite to eat. Craving a good burger and drinks. The burgers and fries were awesome. I forget her name serving us in the bar area. Super job young lady! and to the rest of the staff. Certainly be back to look the menu over.
So here I sit in real time, at the newly renovated Leaf. Been here for a half hour, slowly drinking a pint. Waiting 20 minutes to place my lunch order while two staff members prep cutlery for the dinner rush. My server walks by over and over, oblivious to my existance. Wish I could rate the food, but it appears... more
My husband and I had dinner here this past Sunday evening, our first visit to The Leaf. The menu has quite a variety of dishes to choose from but is very limited (as many restaurants are) in the vegetarian category. I ordered a vegetable panini with the Leaf's specialty fried and coleslaw, while my husband ordered chicken wings. The service... more
My experience at The Leaf was excellent! The new renovations and menu are terrific; not to mention the fabulous family running it. The waitresses are very generous and happy... ALWAYS smiling and willing to help. I was lucky enough to have the owner's daughter be my waitress. She was very patient, helpful, and fun to talk with. The food was... more
I have been coming to The Leaf for quite some time, and I have yet to be disappointed. Whether I am having the eggs benedict with corn beef hash (which is amazing you really need to try it), or any of their burgers which are on homemade buns (my personal favorite is the blue cheese burger) I have always received... more
My wife and I went here for dinner as we were in the neighbourhood. They just remodeled and had spent a lot of money on advertising the new place. So we said lets give them a try. They should have spent money on learning to serve customer better and how to react when they asked how was everything. The food was... more
Went because of all the hype about it being revamped. Looks nice , but the service was not very good. Went for lunch with the staff. Slow service. Tries to be more "fine dining" but falls on its face doing so. The staff are not very friendly. The food is average.
This use to be a nice casual restaurant, but they've restyled. Gone are the simple, quality dishes, replaced but 'fancier' poor quality fare. Save your money and try pretty much anywhere else.
I have personally enjoyed breakfast here a number of time but decided to get 11 of our motorcycle "Ride for MS" crew to join us for dinner here to show our sport as they are Sponsors of this year's event and future year's events! I have to say the Ribs were spectacular which left my own in the dust! My... more
Let me start off by saying that I am not a fussy eater and I love to try new places. I used to love going to this restaurant as a child and was pleasantly surprised with the recent renovations. However, the food portions are quite small for the price. The waitress was inattentive and only came by when taking orders.... more
The Grill & Chill Dinner Club had an event at The Leaf Grill (new name) on Tuesday, June 4th. We made a reservation for our group of 20 at 7pm. Our table was set up when we arrived and our servers made their rounds immediately to introduce themselves. The meal was delicious and the desserts were a huge hit. All... more
My friend and I decided to go to the Maple Leaf before going to Book Club. We were pleasantly surprised by the very nice renovations. I had the Honey Garlic Boneless Wings and they were excellent. My friend had the Perogies with fried onions and they were also very good. Service was prompt, friendly and attentive. The washrooms were very... more
We stopped here on our brief visit to Windsor from Detroit. The decor was very streamlined and chic. The food was typical diner/comfort food. My husband had boneless wings with BBQ sauce and liked them. I had the thinly sliced prime rib sandwich with gravy, fries and fresh green beans. The food tasted excellent and very fresh. Our server was... more
This is an upscale diner with some different decor.
Liver and onions, Ruben sandwiches, hot chicken sandwiches it's a diner.
The food is diner wholesome. Waitresses look like your mom and call you dear.
Desserts are homemade pies a la mode if you want and you can have rice pudding or wait for it Jello.
The food is good!

Maple Leaf hosted a wonderful First Communion Dinner today. Great new modern atmosphere, terrific staff, food that tastes as good as it looks. I will definitely go back and try new items on the... more
We were in Windsor for a Gymnastics Competition, we usually pick a known brand restaurant. This was the first time we have ever picked a place to eat at solely based on tripadvisor reviews....and we were glad we did. Warm, inviting atmosphere with a hint of eclectic decor. The new breakfast menu is great and still includes meals from the old one plus more! Love the Kosher option and the "corned beef hash potatoes". Everything was fresh, not frozen and tasted delicious. The staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly. This has been the place to eat for years, very clean, quick service. But on today's visit our food fries were cold and chewy. Not very appetizing.
OMG...the new Maple Leaf is fantastic. The restaurant has been totally renovated and what a beautiful look. The staff are welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. And the food is the best. From the presentation to the last bite on your plate. Love the freshness. If you have not tried the fish burger at the Maple Leaf, you have no... more
A recent ownership change resulted in significant modifications to every aspect of this restaurant. The atmosphere is very crisp. This is a great place for a road house type lunch.
Wow, great friendly service, nice decor, washrooms you could eat in. Food excellent. Definitely go back for breakfast. Well done!
I have been to this restaurant several times in the last few months, the changes are exceptional from the fresh food to the beautiful decor. I had been at this restaurant a couple of years ago with some friends for lunch, and didn't think I would ever be back, maybe it was the mushy frozen vegies or the red duck... more
Lovingly remodelled. Comfortable, warm tones. Not thrown together. Checkout it out for yourself. The breakfast is much fresher then it used to be. The major change.....freshly cooked home fries with or without onions, The opposite to the frozen deep fried half dollars of the past. The sausage was cooked just right all the way around. A very enjoyable place. Pictures... more
Many locals gathered there for breakfast on Sunday morning. As busy as the were the staff welcomed us warmly, seated us as quickly as was possible and provided efficient service with smiles from them all.Breakfast was excellent. French toast was listed as one their specialties. Many dishes offered pea meal bacon as an accompaniment. No wonder we enjoyed this lucky find.
The Maple Leaf was a hangout for my friends and myself in highschool during breaks.
Much like the city of Windsor, the restaurant itself is a patchwork of updates - there's a large outdoor patio that's never used under infinite construction, the seating area is a semi-U shape a mix of booths and tables, a lengthy bar facing a flat...

One of the best breakfasts. Come here minimum once a week for the heman. 3 eggs, 5 bacon, home fries, toast. Service is pretty good. As soon as we park the waitresses usually have my coffee waiting for me and pop for my wife. Great bacon.
We went because of the three reviews on Tripadvisor and we're glad we did. Very nice restaurant. Try the Peameal bacon.
The best place in Windsor for breakfast! Really fast, friendly, delicious!
only had breakfast but really good ones for a fraction of the price.
