We were in Montreal for an event at the convention center. We could not have had a better location. Fall out of the front door right to multiple entrances to the convention center. It made transporting equipment and prizes easy.
Old Montreal is immediately behind the hotel, Notre Dame was a short walk, Place des Arts was within a comfortable distance walk as well. (Only made slightly...

Le Westin Montreal is not as nice as it sounds. Before I go into the bad, here's what's to like:
1) Location: It's right downtown and just 1-2 blocks from the famous Old City. That's the selling point.
Here's why you should avoid it:
1) Service: It's so bad. A few days before we arrived, we received an email asking if they could do anything to make our trip a positive experience. We asked...

This hotel is nice but there are a few downsides, the pool is very small and really only little kid friendly which i was disappointed about. Another this is that to use the elevator you have to put in your card for it to allow you to select the floor level you want, i really like this concept and the idea of safety but sometimes the card wasnt working and it felt like we were just going to be... more
Great! I stayed here for a week and every time I came back from a long day
of walking I would take a dip in the amazing glass floor pool.
We recently stayed at this location in Montreal. It's proximity to Old Montreal was amazing. It felt comfortable and safe and was really convenient to the old port, Old Montreal and it's quaint restaurants, The Notre Dame Basilica, as well as Victoria square and downtown. Marianne the concierge was excellent, and had great information on the Montreal Botanical Gardens as well as St. Joseph's... more
Very nice spot. Good location, well kept. Room service was pretty slow though. We waited an hour for them to send us plates. Just plates. No food. An hour. The cleaning staff were very friendly and did a great job on our room. The fitness area was a bright spot. The glass bottom pool was fun. I was so glad they had a sauna too!
Came here for the ISMRM meeting located across the street at the convention center
Pros: very comfortable bed, clean, good housekeeping, got a nice quiet room on the top floor as we requested.
Meh: the pool, which is one of the reasons we picked this hotel, was small, certainly not a lap pool. More a soaking pool to go with the sauna, as the main pool was at lukewarm temperatures, and two...

The place got as much character as LAX. Front counter staff are mediocre, so it's their in room food services. Staff are despondent, while writing the elevator a staff member was cleaning the mirrors. She not only never greeted us but she continued to spray the mirrors while we were riding the elevator. Really tacky. The only good thing about this hotel is that is centrally located. Have fun in... more
One of my favorite hotels. Not only is the location very convenient (very close to old Montreal) but the staff is amazing and the rooms very comfortable (heavenly beds, robes, bottled water, teas..). I have been staying there on and off for two years and I couldn't have picked a best spot.
Perfect location, beautiful building, great customer service, this is the best hotel I have been to in Canada. The pool and gyms are luxurious, the bars and restaurants are incredible, our room even had it's own gym! I had never seen that before.
I will be back here many times!
I'm a huge Westin fan, but as Westins go, this one isn't great. The room was large and comfortable--of course, because of the Heavenly beds. They're connected to the underground tunnel system, which was helpful since it was cold and rainy part of the time we were there.
But the lobby is kind of boring. The pool is a joke--super super small. So small, in fact, that I continued to look for the...

ABSOLUTELY the worst hotel I have ever been to. Number one they are supposed to be a luxurious 4+ star hotel with a glass bottom pool with exceptional service, however the service was by far the worst I've experienced (and I travel often being a travel nurse) the hotel was mediocre with a small pool that was tiny with a small area that was open & basically unable to see out of. First time staying at this Westin in Montreal and it was alright.
Reason for alright I checked in on a Sunday night and went to bed.
Around 2:50am (Monday) yes 2:50am room service woke me up to try to give me some shaving cream and razors which my co worker had ordered at 10:00am day we were to arrive.

Second stay here was much better. The sheets were clean, room was nice and plug-ins were easily accessible.
Hotel set up for confrences. Told to take esculators up to elevator, first bank for confrence rooms, two additional towers and poor signage. Pool very small. Tv very small. Nothing like Westin in Toronto. Room nice but so many other options I would expect the franchise to step it up. Btw, hotel was not busy.
Besides the leaky faucet handle, the sour smell of the pillows & the entry way light bulb was burnt out, it was nice. It is a Westin. Front desk staff was very accommodating & friendly. Food at the restaurant was, comme ci comme ca. (French) and very expensive.
Hotel's pool bottom has a small section with see through glass to lobby, which is pretty cool. Rooms are just average. I was expecting something more at this price point.
Reception desk is a little disappointing. We asked for a late check out to take care of something in the area, but reception asked us to come back in the morning to request for it, and the answer was no.
Service was exceptional, I'll give them that. When we asked for additional towels, it arrived within 10 minutes. The pool area was great and the kids had a lot of fun. It was also located close to a bunch of great tourist places like the Underground City of Montreal and the Notre Dame Basilica. However, the comforter had stains on it and the room had a bit of a musty smell. That was very... more
We planned a trip to Montreal and was looking into a place to stay near downtown/old Montreal. I was able to get a great deal on the Westin on Priceline. Modern property in excellent condition. Huge and quiet rooms, friendly staff and great location. I have stayed here twice and this will be my go-to in Montreal.
Loved my stay at this beautiful hotel conveniently located walking distance to downtown and Old Montreal. Five star hotel !!! Second time I've stayed here and simply love it . The staff are always helpful and friendly . The rooms are clean and classy . The bed and pillows are comfortable and the shower is great water pressure . Only one issue was the parking was a bit expensive and cheaper for people who were not staying at the hotel , not sure why .
I have been to several Westin hotels, and this easily is one of the best. The hotel is located in the heart of downtown, walking distance to old Montreal, China town, the metro, and connected to the underground.
The room is comfortable, with great views and of course the heavenly bed. The amenities are setup for work away from the office. The bathroom is generously large.

In general I love the Westin.... this visit was a special visit. We were celebrating a 13 year olds birthday. Dianne whom is working in the restaurant is very kind and helpful. Just what you look for when traveling.
We love staying at this place. Perfect for families and close proximity to all the fun spots. The restaurant is open late and was a perfect way for us to end the night.
I've stayed at the Westin multiple times and it is always an exquisite experience! I remember going into the pools and looking down onto oncoming guests; it was quite an interesting sight! The room was nice and all. The bed was clean and was comfortable. However, when I called housekeeping about the toilet being plugged, they brought me a plunger and told me to fix it myself...what kind of service is that???
One star. Rooms are okay if you aren't on the 21 floor with the suite above you. (2108, 2110). Loud party above me (and I mean loud) in the "suite" but they are more important clients as they won't ask them to leave. I hope they trash the place before they leave. Sounds like a herd of elephants in high heels, dragging furniture around the room. Not at all pleased the way the front desk handled... more

Not the management's fault, I suppose, but it could be better monitored.
Everything about the place is painless and exceeded our expectations.
Loved the pool and hot tub. Bed was super comfy and room was very quiet on the 21st floor. All the staff we encountered were all very helpful and friendly.
Friends stayed in Old Montreal and this was a short walk to where they stayed. Lots of restaurants to choose from within four or five blocks, unfortunately, to walk to Old Montreal, you have to pass a lot of homeless and panhandlers.
This hotel is everything you enjoy from a Westin hotel in the heart of Old Montreal. On a direct route from PE Trudeau Airport...25 minutes. Arrived on a Friday night at 9 pm and traffic was fine. I was able to walk to the Notre Dame Basilica easily...what a sight at night. Starbucks was a block away. Rue Saint Paul has some great restaurants and bars. Will come again.
Excellent experience at the Westin in Montreal. The management team was top notch and everything went on smoothly. I had an emergency in the middle of my vacation and the hotel staff was very supportive at all times. Overall I had a fantastic time at the Westin.
Exc large rooms - we had a double bed room with large windows looking out to Mount Royal - nice. Room was v clean and spacious. Hotel staff were all friendly and v helpful. Had a fantastic dinner meal in the restaurant. The seafood broth was A1! Exc location between old nand new city and close to wayerfrpnt and metro. We really enjoyed our stay - many thanks.
We arrived late and left early the next morning for Quebec. Will return to Montreal in a few days.
comfortable experience, large quiet room, toilet roll too far from toilet! ;-/ swimming pool very small but hot bath lovely, convenient location
This hotel was great, located perfectly central to everything. I loved everything about it
TV did not work properly. Sound cut in and out. No menu on TV system. Bell hop tried to deliver someone else's luggage to our room.
Great hotel right next to old Montreal and a subway station. Excellent location.
My girlfriend and I went to the Westin Montreal for the Thanksgiving weekend. Having been to the Westin Trillium in Blue Mountain many times, I expected the quality and service to be similar. Surprisingly it was not. I honestly can't believe I'm writing this but I booked this hotel because I wanted the "wow" factor that I had experienced in Blue Mountain. The hotel was clean, the lobby, the... more
Dans une classe à part : confortable, reposant, directement en face du Pavillon des congrès de Montréal. Facile d'acces. Idéal pour le voyageur d'affaires.
The hotel was vey clean, and walking distance to Old Montreal. The Staff were professional and helpful. The concierge was a great help! I would highly recommend this hotel to someone visiting Montreal!
Overall a good experience but didn't totally feel like Westin level. Restaurant was good but the wine selection was very cheap American, French and Italian selections that were terribly marked up and did not match the quality of the food. The bar was not interesting and had no cocktail menu. The fitness center was terrific and had beautiful new cardio and weights machines. The cold pool was a... more
With how much they charge per night, your certainly don't get your money's worth. The staff are not helpful at all. You have to beg for a solid soap five times before anyone cares to act on it and bring you one. The internet is very slow and intermittent. No flexibility on check out time, regardless of any special circumstances.
it is easy to access famous place for site seeing. size of room is big enough and good enough for my family. 2 adults and 3 kids.
We were only in Montreal for 1 night. This hotel was a great location for downtown as well as old town. Within walking distance to many, many restaurants and shops. We were very happy with our stay, staff was great and very accomidating. Would go back for sure!
The service impeccable , food OK for an hotel restaurant. Conveniant for late arrival, prompt with delivering a kid's menu
The restaurant had a well-priced table d'hôte lunch for $22. I chose the quinoa salad with rare tuna followed by pork with jerk spices and root vegetables. The meal was excellent and service was thoughtful and attentive, without being intrusive. I plan on returning.
went there on Mother's Day - food was nice. however would of been nice to have a Mother's day touch to the place such a brunch or lunch menu.
C'est un restaurant dans un hôtel... Et cela ressemble vraiment à un restaurant... dans un hôtel.
atmosphere, food, services, presentation of food and even the interior of the restaurant are fantastic! my new favorite restaurant!
Hotel itself is really clean and luxurious.Location is great too.Old Montreal is in walking distance, and so is China Town.
the service is exceptional; you are treated as royal. very clean and stylish rooms.
I booked a last minute trip to Montreal and I am happy I chose to go to the Westin. It was clean, staff was great and accommodating, everything was a short cab ride away and the rooms were comfortable. Great experience!
I can't understand why Le Westin is not included in the list of accomodations for the city, especially since the Intercontinental is included and it is right across the street. Nevertheless, this is an incredible hotel that does not disappoint when it comes to the quality of the rooms or the service. The hotel has valet parking and a bright, welcoming lobby in which there is a restaurant and a... more
I was staying at the le westin montreal. It was very closed to old montreal, which was so nice because we can just walk to there. I did valet parking having in-and-out privilege and I paid $30 per day and i though i was worth it
I just stayed at the Westin this weekend with my 13 year old son and 17 year old daughter. The rooms were very clean and comfortable (awesome beds). I found the rates to be very competitive (not cheap, but very reasonable). The location was EXCELLENT between all the boroughs (old port, city center, china town, etc.). Not really any great window views (we stayed on the 18th floor) and the... more

The fact that I had to pay for parking at the hotel. Room faced a dark wall. Inability to use a debit visa.

only one bar open all the time so if we wanted a drink after a day out we had to have it in there which in the evening got busy

The staff were very helpful and courteous at all times - quite prompt as well! I was surprised that the room only had a shower as opposed to a tub but it was very clean and the shower was spacious with plenty of hot, hot water! Room service was good - the menu was diverse and they accommodated my change requests with ease.
Dining at the Gazette is another story. A horror story actually. I went...

My daughter and I stayed at Le Westin last weekend while we were in Montreal for her dance competition at the Palais de Congres. I had never stayed here before. From the outside, the building has a 1950's vintage look, but the inside is beautifully decorated in a hip, modern style. Our very friendly and helpful valet, Mathieu, explained that this building used to be the headquarters of the... more
I travel a lot and I can tell you - that is value for money. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else in Montreal!! Rooms are spacy, well furnished. Maybe the fact that a view is not really breathtaking (at all) is a little disadvantage, but who cares? You do not stay at the hotel for a nice view, do you?
Hotel staff - very polite and helpfult. I spent 40 nights in Westin Montreal this year so...

During my stay, the parking valet noticed that my car had a flat tire.
The staff generously replaced the tire with the emergency wheel . I was
extremely greatful. I was then able to get to a garage to get the tire
fixed. I thank them very much!

The room and parking is a little expensive. I had to walk though
the entire hotel in a bathrobe to reach the pool. Otherwise
everything was fine.
The rooms were large and comfortable. The hotel was quiet. It was a good
location. I liked the eco-friendly approach.
\n\n
The room was cold at times, and it seemed that there were drafts coming
from the windows. The room was somewhat expensive. It would be helpful
to advertise local attractions more with maps and info.
I travel to Montreal quite frequently. I decided to drive to Le Westin
from southern Ontario. I had called Le Westin literally the night before
to ask if they would accommodate and early check in and they assured me
that this would not be a problem. When I had arrived to le Westin early
that morning I came to find out they totally messed up the arrangements
and admitted it was a mistake on the...

It's been a great experience for us indeed. The room is very comfortable. Every staff we met is very polite and ready to help.My wife and I could not forget the warm during our stay, no matter how cold outside.I feel like missing you guys already. Best wishes!
Snelle service en nette kamers. Goed ontbijt.

Beetje saai en kil restaurant. Locatie is niet inspirerend.
Stayed at the Westin downtown. I had a late check-in, which they accommodated with ease. Room service was fast and professional. The room itself was great and spacious, though I wouldn't leave the radio on when the guest first comes in.
Great pool. Great room. Great price! My family and i will be back!

It needs a coffee shop!
The room was spotless and extremely well decorated. Very quiet for New Year's Eve. Enjoyed the bar. Excellent service. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Montreal.
Great room, very comfortable bed, amazing staff, super location.

Longue Attente à la réception lors de l arrivée avant d être servi, une seule personne à ce poste qui était occupée avec un autre client. La concierge était inoccupé mais ne nous a pas aidé.

Very poor services!
Great location within walking distance to Old Montreal. The rooms was spacious and clean and the Bed and Bedding are just heavenly! .

The only issue was my view was of a Brick Wall next door but I was staying there with my Dog and those were the rooms that were available for guests with pets. Not a big issue for me as don't go to Montreal to look out the window of my Hotel Room
Everything wasgood. The loaction and proximity to the old city is great.
Location was great, concierge was super helpful, great value for the price.

We had a lovely stay at the Westin. The room was perfect and very comfortable. The location was very convenient to the old port area and just a few minutes from the metro stop. Where we were staying within the hotel was very quiet. Room service was adequate if not a bit over priced (but I feel like that's to be expected with room service, right?). My only minor complaint is with the pool. Yes... more
This was a great hotel - perfect location and great service.
The staff is amazing and bends over backwards to make your stay a pleasure. The indoor pool and sauna is delightful (wish there was also outdoor space) Room service was delicious but took a little longer than ideal. The location cannot be beat totally central to everything worth going to. I would return in a heartbeat!
The room was comfortable and clean. But the housekeeping was erratic, to say the least. Our bath mat was taken the first morning and not replaced for the rest of the stay. Plus, despite being 2 adults in a 2-Queen bed room, we were constantly shorted on towels. Very odd. But really, the only major complaint.
Expensive, but well worth it for the location and amenities. So close to old Montreal and the waterfront. Be sure to check out the jetboats nearby!
I had an amazing experience at this hotel. Location was perfect! It was right in downtown Montreal. The staff was SUPER-friendly! Le Westin was so new that it didn't appear in our guidebook published in 2011. Indeed it felt like a soft opening, in that things felt a bit unfinished. There was nothing overtly lacking. Went on a road trip across the east coast. This was by far the best and most affordable, given the quality of the stay. It would have been nice to have breakfast included, but the cleanliness of the hotel and the rooms were justified by the price.
Went to Montreal for business. Very good hotel location (downtown). One of the best hotel i've tried in this town.
Short lines, fast service, good coffee, good restaurant, but the best part was that it was right at the border of Old Montreal and downtown, so you can walk almost anywhere.
This was a fantastic Westin experience. Staff was friendly and helpful, rooms were spotless, quite and comfortable and the location was excellent. It is convenient to the Metro, walkable to Jazz Fest, in the Old City, but still close enough to walk to downtown and other neighborhoods. 20-30 somethings may enjoy the neighborhoods of Plateau Mont-Royal or Quartier Latin slightly more, but I... more
Very clean and high quality hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
We got a really good price for the Westin, and that is probably b/c they have trouble attracting customers w/all of their problems. They can't get basic things right like refilling the coffee service, cups in the bedroom, or say, hot water (we had none for 2 days--which they compensated for w/a day of free parking at least). The staff seemed apologetic and nice, but they can't do anything about... more
The hotel is still new, when checking out, all of the elevators were broken, there is NO self-parking so it's all valet.
