April 07, 2012I love this hotel. It's clean, cozy, just big enough. I was upset this last visit becuase the coffee urn in the lobby was not working. Having coffee available 23 hours a day is such a nice convenience. It won't keep me from going back, but I was not happy.

Good Price, Great Stay
March 23, 2012We often visit family in Laval and Montreal and we've stayed a few times at Le St-Martin. Each time we were very pleased with our stay. Room well decorated, beds are comfortable and breakfast (included) is a nice bonus. Staff is always very friendly. Government of Canada rate is also very advantageous.

Nice, quaint hotel
March 23, 2012Hotel was very clean, very attentive staff. Easy access to downtown Montreal via the Metro which is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. We went up for the Canadian Grand Prix and quite a few fans were staying at the hotel as well. A recommend this place wholeheartedly.

Was there for a business training seminar for 3 days in November 2011. Did not stay at the hotel, so I cannot comment on the accommodations for sleeping, but I can say that I was quite impressed with the conference room set up and general overall quality of the site.

We stayed on the third floor. Our room was a nice size, with high ceilings that actually cathedraled near the window. Free Wifi was great, as were the very heavy duvets on the beds (available for sale, but more than I wanted to spend).

Great hotel, bad location
January 03, 2012The hotel is very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you're looking to stay in Laval I would recommend it. My boyfriend and I were looking to experience Montreal and it was too far from anything we wanted to see so we ended up switching to another hotel. They staff was very accomidating.

Noisy on ground floor

Try to avoid room 131 on the ground floor if you are a light sleeper. The piano is close by and is very audible and there is an external air conditioning unit just outside the bedroom window that whistles. We pointed this out to recepion when we left so maybe fixed by now.
Other than that the room was comfortable...

June 08, 2011We were so looking forward to our stay after viewing the hotel's web site. It is a very beautiful hotel however it turned into a nightmare. After requesting a higher floor we ended up with a room on the first floor. Maintenance has to come to each room to unlock the refrigerator / mini bar. Tried to take a shower... more

Had a wonderful meal on St. Arthur St. Missed the fireworks that go off every Saturday evening because we loss track of time and the traffic was to heavy to go the mile away.
