At the back of the restaurant, you'll find a charming patio. Food is OK. Service is poor. Ask 3 times for water. Ask for a non alcoholized beer, but no non alcoholized beer as per the waitress. Finally found on the menu a non alcoholized beer. The waitress was not aware. In fact she didn't know about the menu and... plus
This area is famous for its duck and with good reason. But more of that later.
For fans of Louise Penny, local murder mystery author, this charming bistro has inspired the bistro in the fictional village of Three Pines. Although not identical, the look & feel is there. Old world charm with delicious, contemporary & local fare.

We had breakfast there , which was very pleasant and good value for money!
The menu for dinner looked very varied and appetizing , but we did not have dinner there...will definitely try next tome .
Conveniently located near the Brome Lake Theater. Interior setting was nice, very country style with wood throughout & service was attentive. Menu selection was sufficiently wide. My wife & I shared an appetizer of escargots provincial, which was excellent. We both ordered the 'Brome Lake Duck' leg (although the breast was also on the menu). We found the duck to... plus
After having dinner at the Lake Brome Marina, we went to the Relais for a "pousse-café". Service is very good, friendly. This hotel-restaurant is an emblem in town, and has a reputation. The Irish-coffee is quite bad, though, served with old filter coffee and not made with fresh espresso. I recommend you pick something else. They seem to have quite... plus
Enjoyed our meal at this small hotel. The atmosphere was really relaxed, they didn't rush you. It was half full but had a nice buzzy atmosphere and locals chatting away with each other. Food good value and delicious. We have the Parma ham, blue cheese and pear salad and chicken with cheese and roasted peppers. Both really tasty. With drinks... plus
Always great choices, great, warm and friendly ambience set in an Historic building in the heart of Knowlton!
Stopped by for lunch on Easter Sunday. This is quite a large resto, about a 100 places plus large balcony, but it was nit very busy today. Although Easter Sunday, there were not any special dishes offered to commemorate the event. They did have a menu of table d'hôte specials which contained meals of various kinds including a duck dish.... plus
Decor is reminiscent of the old stagecoach days. The food is excellent especially the Fish & Chips and the service is good and friendly. Prices are reasonable.
Drove through Knowlton to get to another location, we decided to stop at Le Relais for lunch. What a great place in such a picturesque place, I will definitely have to go back some day soon.
I ordered a chicken caesar which was great and my husband ordered the Duck Magret which he absolutely loved and still talks about all...

We are fans of Louise Penny's mysteries set in Quebec's Eastern Townships, and we visited a number of the towns recently. The auberge in Louise's books supposedly was modelled on Auberge Knowlton. We arrived in Knowlton just in time for lunch, and headed to Le Relais (the restaurant) of Auberge Knowlton. It is modest in decor, but the food was... plus
