A good locale when you're coming or going by train, as it's right inside the station. Food ranges from Asian to vaguely Tex-Mex.
We've been once and we'll come back. They're appetizer portions to share. The food is delicious prepared with care, the presentation is gorgeous, the service is fantastic a great night out, but bring your wallet.
I've always liked l'Aviatic Club. The food is always excellent and service is great. The wine selection is surprising and one can discover a few gems.
That being said, I still don't get how come the play the same soundtrack since 1981 | Strange, I've seen that place before - Grace Jones
As new visitors to QC Our hotel recommended this restaurant as within easy walking distance. It is in a very gentrified old train station - reminded me of Grand Central. Very tastefully decorated and quiet with unusual liner ceiling fans.
The menu was biased toward seafood and two of us had salmon and also the shrimp/mushroom risotto. Delicious. I had...

Visiting a friend in Quebec City she took me to this restaurant and it was a wonderful experience. All around great place, but of course, for me, the food is most important. Yes, the service, atmosphere, and beautifully laid out plates were wonderful (truly wonderful) but the food was INCREDIBLE.
We shared 3 or 4 starters and dessert, the wines...

We enjoy a pleasant afternoon in this establishment at a reasonable cost. It is well laid out with good service and pleasant decor. Moreover, it is quite and one of the few recent bars and restaurancts we have been able to hear each other without straining. Whether it be for a drink something else - this appears to be a... plus
We ate there in July and it was one of our best meals ever. It's nice to share plates with friends and taste everything. The flavours are delicate, with a nice Asian touch. Tomato with special bocconcini (very different from the classic plate) is very refreshing in summer. The beef was very tender and the sauce very good. The chef's... plus
We went there yesterday, not being able to book a table at the famous Bistro B but following some great review on some local restaurant guide (guideresto.ca).
Positive:
* great whine menu and the possibility to do a testing of 4 red wines for only 14$
* very interesting menu with definitely a lot of haute cuisine input and some...

During our stay in Québec, we were really enchanted and even mesmerized by this wonderful establishment. Even though the ambiance is far from being "typical" from North America, this restaurant has a soul ! It is located Inside the train station of Québec City and is very peaceful at night because there is no train traffic at night. Staff is... plus
Am staying in Old Quebec City and shuddered at the thought of greasy fries and costly draft beer. My golf partners suggested Aviatic, so I reserved from the course. Good idea. The place was jammed with locals. At the train station - go figure. Fusion cuisine, at 20$ plus per main, $15 per appetizer. My wife took two appetizers, the... plus
Ambience is great. Bar/drinks amazing.. I know food, don't believe the reviews . This place is over rated, everything tastes the same . Very salty . For 180 dollars for 2 you can go to a million other places much better. Good concept bad culinary execution . Good be much much better . Seems like the chef left the responsibilities... plus
The Aviatic is one of our favourites in Québec. Consistently excellent and innovative food and extremely friendly and knowledgable staff. This is a great restaurant to go and sample and share a variety of delicious plates and interesting wines by the glass in a fun, but relaxed atmosphere. We return time and again for the Tataki de filet de boeuf... plus
Beautifull dining room, ambiance music, great menu and great food. Service OK but sometimes slow. I understand when people say the menu can be confusing because it is not like a 'regular' restaurant. Just need to be open minded.
Go on a Wednesday for specials (the beef carpaccio is an absolute must) and have your wine/beer/happy hour elsewhere before going...

One of my best lunch this yearling. The fish (bar) is unbelievable. Great dish, decent portion, 50 wines by the glass. The service is awful and competent. The only minimum complaint is that experience is a bit pricey. But all the dishes are good (crab cakes, magret de canard,)
Great atmosphere to !
Our group supper last week was at the Aviatic.
You can go in off the street or through the train station.
There were lots of us (about 50) and we had five big tables.
They started us off with bread and olive oil/balsamic vinegar. Yum!
The red wine was just okay.
There were a couple appetizers (duck confit spring rolls...

Went for supper on a Friday evening, had a nice table inside by a window. The waiter was very informative about the menu, explaining things/ingredients, and friendly too.
I had the smoked salmon to begin, very nice piece. Then I had the lobster, which I thought was a bit undercooked, but still tasty. Finally I had the lemon semifreddo for...

We searched all over for a restaurant to eat at and ended up at this one. At first, we were very confused. The menu is meant for "sharing" apparently and was very confusing to order. Ended up ordering about 2 plates a person. Very pricey.
The service was terrible. It took 20 min just to receive the drinks and when...

We had a friend from Vancouver and wanted to try this restaurant. Everything we chose was great: baby calamaries with a very light batter and a wonderful aioli, beef tataki with a cashew sauce - delightful, a light lobster risotto, duck confit rolls and frites. No room for desert .... we will go again. Pricey however worth it!!!
I was not sure what to expect from this restaurant with it being in a train station but I was blown away !!! The food was fantastic, the staff were fantastic and the ambiance was fantastic.
When we parked and walked into this restaurant, I wasn't confident that we were going to have a good experience with the two clients we were meeting that evening. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the meal was.
Wine selection was above average for Canadian restaurants. (Wine selection in Canada is never what I would call good because...

I was there in 2009 and found it creative, using fresh ingredients, and reasonably priced for what it offered; even the wine was reasonably priced. The decor is contemporary, upscale.
Tapas style restaurant, located in the beautiful gare du Palais. Great service, pricey for worth it
Excellent evening ! We had a gastronomic experience that was superb. The ambiance was warm, we had a good table. The service was courtous and efficient. We tried the 5 services dinner with the selected wines. Everything was delicious. Steep bill at the end but worth it. We willl return.
The Aviatic is a wonderful surprise in the Quebec City Via Rail station. We had an early dinner (about 5:00 pm) before our train left for Halifax. The place was quite empty, so we had our choice of tables and sat outside on a fabulous early fall day. Our waiter, Christopher Trepanier, was the best. He guided us through an... plus
We had a very nice dining at Aviatic Club. Our waiter was so great, relax and very alert to what we wished to have as an gastronomic experience in their establishment. Our experience was composed of 5 services assorted with a private selection of wine. Everything was kind of perfect... a very deep gastronomic experience and never tried before tastes... plus
The worst meal we had in Quebec was at the Aviatic Club. The service was horrendous. We were sat at our table, and waited...and waited. My husband was finally served a drink that he had requested; mine never came until we chased down a waitress and asked for it again. We speak fluent French and typically have a great time... plus
