We rented bikes at the front desk and went on a half day bike tour. The bike path went right past the hotel and a few miles up and down the coast. The next day we did the same, but we rented a paddle boat at a stand a quarter mile from the hotel. The heated pool was really nice by Canadian standards and they even had a sauna. We grew fond of Tim Horton's while in Canada, and a 24 hour... more
Rooms where large enough but the furniture needs to be updated. The mattresses were awful. The location is beautiful and the staff was very helpfulThe pool area was moldy
the location was great..we walked to where we were going with no problems...could walk to nearly any place in Summerside from this place. We found it expensive, even with a Senior's discount because of the cost of the taxes added on. Be aware of teh total cost.
It is a nice hotel but I find it is way overpriced. I will only stay here if there are no local motels available due to the very high price tag that come with the stay. The staff are great, and the rooms are just okay but not for the price. I must also add that the staff are extremely... more
This used to be a crown jewel of a hotel to stay in before it was sold.. Now it is a great old building with no one that cares about it, totally indifferent staff who could barely lift their head and no customer service at all .. they need to hire some housekeepers and so some cleaning. if the staff... more
My wife and I booked our Wedding Reception at this property and as a result got a free night in the honeymoon suite. Being from Summerside I had a good idea of what we were getting into and percieved it as the best gig in town. it lived up to this billing as the people all went the extra mile... more
A great spot in summerside, with fantastic views. If you are staying here be aware that there are older rooms and newer rooms. We were lucky it was off season so we did get a great room with 2 queen beds over looking the harbour. There are some great trails to walk or if you have a vehicle then you... more
Shower lacked pressure, toilet leaked and we were visited by maintenance men because the ceiling below was getting wet. Worn out everything and about 10 years overdue with a renovation and redecorating program. To make matters worst when we checked out the next morning it cost $345 for the room and breakfast! A great first night on PEI.
Loyalist hotel is an excellent hotel which provided me and my family with superb service. The staff was more than accommodating continuosuly going out of their way to make sure our stay was fulfilled with satisfaction. This was the first property in which I have ever stayed at where the General Manager (Nick Riberio) came over to the tables in... more
I stayed here a few months ago, and I have to say that staying at the Loyalist Country Inn in Summerside, PEI, had to be the best night of my life. I am a light sleeper, and when my head hit the pillow after a night of partying at a local club, let me tell you that I didn't get... more
We visited Summerside for one night in the early part of July. Decided to stay at the Loyalist Inn since other hotels really were worse rated than this one. We booked a suite - their suite was one room, consisting of two beds, one loveseat, no pictures, ripped bedskirt, rusty shower curtain, round table that was scarred and marked. In... more
The Hotel is need of up-dating badly... The room was substandard to say the least, and was the Executive suite (which was a joke at the best). There were handles missing from the furniture, the bathroom sink was cracked and had chips in it, the toilet was leaking and the were stains on the floor showing where the leak was,... more
We were dismayed at the service this hotel provided to our group on January 26th. First let us begin by stating that the staff tried their best, under the circumstances, to provide decent services; but it is our feeling that the hotel is understaffed and cannot handle the business of a full hotel. We were also dismayed that the manager... more
Well how do I start ok showed up at the hotel and the front desk fought me saying my room was not paid for. Reception well we thought that it was going to be the best part of the day other then the food it was terrible staff was rood not wearing the right dress code, rolling there eyes when asked... more
The rooms are starting to look dated. Location is nice but since it was raining we didn't take advantage of walking along the harbour. The dining room service was some of the worst we have ever had. My husband left and went to his room. The food was quite good but it took over 2 1/2 hours for our meal... more
Best location in Summerside! Shopping area boardwalk is across the street. Our room was clean and the bathroom was spotless. In-room movies are free which was a pleasant surprise. Indoor swimming pool area is functional. I would stay here again!
Good location, nice room, large, clean, but over priced for what you get. Staff very helpfull. Restruant has good food but service is sloooooow. We waited for 45 minutes after the waitress took our order. Only two other tables were occupied.
Clean and big rooms....Nice location...great perks. The staff was great. They even let us stay in the pool an hour extra! Will stay again!
Stay here whenever I can for business and pleasure. Without a doubt the best place to stay in Summerside but sometimes hard to book as they have filled up. The 1-800 reservation line can be a long wait so I always call direct. Restaurant is Ok but I usually eat up the street at "Two Brothers". The Quietest rooms are... more
I was in Summerside for a convention in May.The service at the Loyalist was Excellent.... Nice pool.... Clean well appointed rooms....Knowledgable friendly staff. I even stayed a couple of extra days. I certainly would return.
Stayed 2 evenings this fall, the staff was very cordial, room was very spacious, the in-house dining was very tasty. Enjoyed our stay immensely.
I stayed at the Loyalist Country Inn while travelling around atlantic Canada for my honeymoon, the service the waiting staff and especially the food were beyond excellence! The pleasant atmosphere made the trip most enjoyable!
