this restaurant has great food and i love the atmosphere
I've been to La Bodega at least 6 times in the last 18 months.
The menu changes every time and on top of that they have nightly
Specials.
Very clear flavour ,variety and quality are a high priority. The menu is always extensive
And hard to put a theme on it ...but everything I have experienced is well presented

The restaurant is nice, but the food was too greasy, I have asked for a smoked meat and it didn't taste anything like a smoked meat
Every so often I forget about the last dining experience I've had at La Bodega, go in again, and end up with poor service, poor quality food or both... Either we are seated and then ignored, or we are bustled through... The food descriptions sound excellent, and then don't match with what is provided... There are other places worth trying... more
An excellent dining experience with a unique atmosphere and excellent food. La Bodega has an excellent and different menu which is always appreciated...the bison dishes are fantastic...never a miss with a meal here.... more
This place is wonderful. They had grilled asparagus on their menu which was delicious but the last time I was there they don't make it anymore. Too bad but I still enjoyed my order of mushrooms in phyllo .... more
I had a friend visiting from Columbia and we wanted a place where she could sample something different. The Bison rolls were a real hit.
As you walk inthe gate, garbage everywhere, coffee cups, paper, plastic but once you get inside it improves
Eggs Bennie brunch was nice, service good, 50 % discount on wines in May 2014
A busy bustling little spot in an old two story Victorian house with great food, extensive martini list and a nice multilevel patio facing a brick wall on which movies or concerts are always playing. This place is all about the atmosphere.
LaBodega is a great place to have a nice meal or a glass of wine either out in a group or even solo at the bar.
It's a great location close to downtown & in the historic cathedral village neighborhood.
Excellent lunch out with the girls. Lots of delicious options on the menu, great atmosphere, excellent service.
La Bodega is one of our favourite places, we go quite often. The tapas selection is fantastic, and from all I have tried, I have not found one I didn't like. Love the smoked salmon, one of my favorites. You must get there early if you don't have a reservation, seating is limited. We generally like to sit on the... more
A great place to have tapas and wine with friends. There is always something new and different to try as well as keeping the old favorites. In summer you can sit outside on the deck on in the trees as the deck is nestled among the branches and in winter you can enjoy a drink from the ice bar. Service... more
There were four of us for dinner and we all enjoyed our choices.I had a tasty white fish meal.It was very busy and a little noisy and crowded.Service was friendly and helpful.
We liked it.....good unique food but the place is showing wear and tear and the staff can be flippant Lamb lollipops were cooked perfectly and the brie platter was good! Wine specials are all smoke and mirrors but fool the simple at heart. All and all in Regina this is a must eat and do ask if the food is... more
Great food, always get the seafood platter for 2! Mmmmm! And great atmosphere! Everything's good, can't go wrong with anything! :-)
The tapas selections were good and we appreciated the excellent sangria which was on special at 50% off so a great deal. The waitress was not particularly friendly (unlike most people in Regina), so she did not add to our enjoyment, but we still had a good evening.
I love the food which is always fresh and tasty. The half price wine is a really great incentive to go when you feel like a glass of wine after a long day.
I like it here. I like the ambience, the decks in summer, the ice bar in winter, the food and especially the half price wine.
I visited this establishment in the fall of 2013. It is in an old house that was converted. The food was okay but not for everybody. It was not for people who have eating problems such as lactose intolerant or IBS as I have. Would not go back unless with friends and this is where they wanted to go. Do... more
Once again, food was to weird and fancy for my taste. Service was slow and not too helpful. Did not get a lot for the money that was charged.
It is my first choice for a special meal out. The menu is varied and the presentation is very very good. I have been to this restaurant several times. Each time the service was courteous and prompt. The staff is very accomodating and although the Bodega has mostly an adult clientele, on one occasion we were a family group of... more
The other reviews seem accurate. I went solo on a very cold Sunday night for dinner but there is a warm, inviting interior with many pleasant seating options from which to choose. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable. The food selection is good for differing tastes. An all around solid place to try.
I have been to La Bodega several times over the last 18 months.
The menu ,which changes often, is always offers unique and creative options.
It amazes me how they consistently deliver high quality innovative flavours.
Prices are very fair including the wine. Recently they were running a half price wine special.....with a great selection.
The wait staff are awesome....very...

Love the 1/2 price wine. Meals were great. We were there for a birthday so it would have been nice to have a free desert for the birthday girl, but that didn't happen.
My husband and I regularly come here for tapas and we've never been disappointed. It's always nice to see them change the menu seasonally and it gives you something to look forward to trying different (or waiting for your fave to come back!) I always know summer's around the corner when seviche is back on the menu..
Some awesome menu...

This is one of our regular haunts and our favourite server, Tony, feels like family! The chef/owner stays on top of food trends and the menu is updated on a regular basis. Great selection of gluten free options( I love the falafel platter, the steak frites and the lamb lollipops, and whatever tuna offering there is to be found on... more
great service and excellent food,if you are looking for a cozy atmosphere for some tapas and great wine
La Bodega is a regular spot that I meet my girlfriends to share a bottle of wine, a bite to eat and to catch up. Service is always great and have never had a bad meal or tapas there! Crab cake eggs benedict cannot be beat!
This is a restaurant I have been going to for years. The food is superb (try the Mushroom Strudel, lamb enchilladas, corona prawns, basil cream mussels, lobster poutine, or SPLURG and get the seafood plank for two - SUPERB). The martini menu is endless and the service is second to none. Also, they have been featuring their wine and sangria... more
My husband, daughter and I went to this restaurant and I was very disappointed. The place smelled moldy and old.....we ordered the crab cakes....which were dry and over cooked, the mushroom stuffed pastry was greasy, it did taste ok. The lobster fries were awful. And I love lobster. The rice that came with the lamb dish the rice was plain... more
La Bodega is one of our little retreat spots we like to go to for tapas and good wine. The menu is always new and interesting....and so delicious!
The atmosphere is awesome....you can always find a cozy little spot to tuck away in for private conversation. Come here in the winter and enjoy a cocktail at the hand carved "ice...

We were in Regina for my daughter's competition and decided that a tapas restaurant would fit the bill for something different. When we called for a short notice reservation the lady answering was friendly, accommodating and helpful in letting us know how to get there. Upon our arrival we encountered a lineup to get in but were greeted by a... more
La Bodega appears to have upped its game recently. New menu items offer an interesting variety of food choices and all items that I have tried have been excellent. I have always been a fan of tapas and though this is the canadian version of the basque treat the execution is bang on. The menu allows for a true shared... more
First time to the restaurant last night, enjoyed the wine, food and great company. Place is small and tuck away but worth the trip there. Would recommend the resturants for a get together with friends and couples
We booked this on a recommendation for our last night with family in Regina so it was a rather special meal, we hoped. We were seated upstairs and it was so cold we had to go back to the car to collect fleeces and blankets! The atmosphere downstairs was warm and vibrant, upstairs was a bit like a morgue.

I enjoyed having many different taste experiences with friends by having a variety of shared tapas for supper. The half price wine is a great marketing idea for getting people to try the restaurant. With the seafood mixed grill platter, two bottles of wine and three tapas, our bill with tip was $208. I felt the mixed seafood platter was... more
We had reservations for 6 people prior to a concert. Arrived in plenty of time and left after over 1 and one half hours without having eaten and an offer of one drink within the first 15 minutes. Good thing the company was great because the restaurant experience was anything but. There was no charge for drink amidst apologies about... more
We have been to the restaurant for breakfast/ brunch and enjoyed it, but never dinner. We were pleasantly surprised. We shared tapas all night and enjoyed everything we had. As a wine drinker, the $5 corkage fee is awesome if you want to bring your own bottle, but with all their wines at close to slag prices ( and a... more
In town visiting friends. REALLY good food and good atmosphere. No question best place to go for a nice meal in Regina. Can't wait to go again the next time I'm in town.
We were in Regina for 2 days and our friend recommended La Bodega. We were happy that she did. The food was good and they had a nice selection of drinks. The server was a little slow in getting to our table but then she was very attentive the rest of the time.
The food was prepared well and all...

Our 2nd trip to La Bodega while in Regina. Even better the 2nd time. Food is terrific, this time we ordered off the tapas menu. Which gives you just enough food to feel satisfied but not stuffeed. Nice atmosphere and great food.
Average food. Very pricey for what you get. Would not recommend. Go to the Italian Star, Fish Store, etc., and pick up some tapas ingredients, grab a good bottle of wine, and stay home.
I also make a visit to La Bodega when I go to Regina. There is always great food, great service and a great atmosphere. This latest visit was up to par with previous visits. There were three of us and we had Spanish Paella, Steak Tartare, deconstructed Caesar salad, buttermilk chicken tenders, crab cakes, sockeye salmon filet and a sampler... more
I like this place a lot - they have great art on the walls, great food and, of course, great drinks.
The bar is really tight, but you won't feel crammed. The restaurant is a great date place, lunch spot or late night hang out.
Had dinner here this evening, and it was excellent. I had the steak frite, my wife had the paella, and my kids shared the casadia's. service was fast and friendly. The food was right on the money. Desert was excellent as well. If I am ever in Regina again, I will be sure to come again, and will suggest it... more
Read some reviews and decided to take a chance on this restaurant. With some saying it can be hit or miss, tonight was definitely a "Hit" night. Service was generally prompt, the food was excellent and - bonus- half price wine list! Shared six dishes, with the table favorites being the lobster poutine and the tenderloin sabre. Would definitely go... more
When I get a sub-par meal at a favourite restaurant I usually pass it off as 'one of those nights', because they can occur in any restaurant. Last night we took some friends from out of town to La Bodega and we found ourselves apologizing for our choice. We ordered a selection of tapas, and while some were up to... more
I've been here several times and yesterday at brunch on their rooftop dining area. I must say the food flavors were amazing, portions were adequate (as opposed to too big or too small) and prices were fair and competitive. I will certainly come here again.
My friend took me here for an early evening light meal. The tapas was lovely - many great selections and I was told, by my friend, that the wine choices were excellent. The waitress was very attentive and made some very good suggestions. It was, however, very crowded and noisy and difficult to hear. And it was cramped. We had... more
