Khazana, meaning treasure, creates a rich thought-provoking atmosphere with its mix of spices, and the fragrances step up to greet you and take you to a journey of exquisite Indian Tandoori flavors
Located in the heart of Downtown, Khazana is famous for its food from India’s rugged North West Frontier. Khazana's five star rustic ambiance and authentic Indian cuisine has won it many praises, awards, notable mentions and compliments from all over North America. Khazana was also the co-host to the Juno award 2004,the only Indian restaurant to reach that milestone. The restaurant was also... more
This was our first time here( it won't be the last ) . We arrived early in the evening 5:30 and it was very quite only a handful of people.
The waiter was very attentive and helpful with the menu. We had 2 appetizers , The pakora's and the ribs , both where delicious as was the Butter chicken and Naan bread. The only downside was that I don't expect to pay more for a virgin Caesar ( it was a...

Both had "dinners"from menu but different ones and both were great food was delivered at a nice pace and weren't rushed at all. We were using a Groupon but have been here without just gave us an excuse to return to Khazana and will be back pup on or not. Try the Indian ice cream. Wow
Khazana was perfect for our group lunch. The ambiance with the fire in the middle of the room was excellent since it was a chilly day outside. The decor was warm and inviting. The chalice's made it feel like we were on a get away.I only would recommend that the staff inform that it is buffet only. The staff were very efficient but they didn't seem warm or friendly.Tandoori chicken was... more
This place has a great atmosphere and a delicious assortment of food. The staff are friendly and very professional. Its a great experience.
The servers were attentive and helpful. The service was prompt and the food was good but the saltiness of it was almost overpowering. I couldn't eat much of it unfortunately because of this. The chef and those in the kitchen should try too revamp some of their recipes to reflect this.
Wonderful dining experience, the food was excellent and not too salty
I took my partner out for his birthday dinner and chose this restaurant because they have good food. When we arrived, we sat down at our table. There was a huge kid birthday party that took up half of the restaurant. Kids were running around, poping balloons and blowing whistles. It was so loud that I could barely hear my partner talk. It reminded me of being at a chucky cheese restaurant. We... more
we love this place. food is awesome, especially the nan bread. people friendly too.
We went here for Valentine's Day and had the buffet, which offered a wide variety of excellent dishes - goat, shrimp, chicken, lamb and an assortment of curries. Small but decent salad bar and a good selection of desserts. There is great ambiance here; we sat by the open fireplace. Service was professional and friendly but a tad slow, but we were in no hurry. This is a great place for a... more
Kazhana's restaurant Downtown continues to provide both exceptional customer service and top quality traditional Indian dishes. Staff are most accommodating to your special request and graciously offering everything available to make your dining experience memorable.
I am a regular visitor. I like Khazana for its very good food and nice interior design. Addition of new painting is very good. I enjoy lunch or dinner with my family and friends.
The food is excellent. Much of it is done in the tandoori oven and uses marinated meats. Very tasty. The best dish was a marinated cauliflower that is cooked in the oven, it is our favourite by far. Very nice space, welcoming and warm. We will be returning for sure.
We ate at Khazana's again after an absence of several years and left slightly disappointed. The buffet seemed to be "dumbed down" , offering less dishes that were not as interesting or as spicy as before. We may try it again in the future but not for a special occasion with friends who have never been before.
I have been there couple of time and with my friends. I will say food is ok. I liked there La carte over buffet. i felt the Paneer in buffet was not tasty and It was tender. The ambiance is pretty good and I will recommend it to try out once but If you know how east Indian food taste then I will say You will not like buffet here.
I have reviewed this restaurant numerous times and our experience has never changed. It is a personal favorite of ours. We love the food, and the staff are so kind, helpful and friendly. The fire and lighting are so calming and welcoming. I feel relaxed every time I enter the place.
Place is very big and has a cared Indian decoration all along the walls, ceiling made of wood and nice fire in the centre.
Food amount can be overwhelming, that's why it's a good place for groups or sharing among 3 or more people.
Their menu is very extensive, so I would suggest to aks for features or recommendations to waiter.
As appetizer, fried fish is delicious. Yellow lentils and goat meat...

My husband and I loved out dinner on New Year's Eve. A perfect 10 in all accounts!!
Khazana is so beautiful inside, it looks like a page out of a romantic cabin with the wood tables and fireplaces. Their lunch is fantastic but honestly ordering off the menu for dinner is the way to go if you know what you're doing. I would highly recommend trying the Bhindi (okra) dish. It is perhaps my favourite Indian dish in the city, this coming from an East Indian. I would also recommend... more
I go here for lunch buffet at least once a month because I like the food. I've never had such lack luster service here before though. At lunch, even when it's busy. In the evening, when our party comprised half the diners in the restaurant that night, we couldn't get service at all. One member needed a new napkin, but we couldn't get it. We wanted to order more beer but couldn't get service.... more
Loved our experience! Great food and great atmosphere! We will be back!
Loved the food. Loved the Decorations. Feels like some third country. But Service worst ever. They take really long time to serve so small quantity and so costly dishes.
Though I have heard very good things about this restraunt, I've been here on three seperate occasions and have never been impressed with the food or the prices. The food is slow, poorly spiced, and twice has been cold. A few recipes stand out, but the majority have dissapointed. At prices starting at $15 and up, and an average bill for two over $75 you're better off going somewhere else.
The second greatest place for eastern food in Edmonton! I highly recommend this buffet with great nann bread. The dim atmosphere at night is great for slinking into the shadows and playing a game of Assassins Creed III when your boring date isn't looking. The lunch buffet is affordable and not to be missed.
Excellent service and delicious dishes every time we visit. Price is reasonable considering the beautiful decor and what you get for the money.
