Brilliant service - waitress just perfect. Steak perfect cut, good taste, presentation and worth every penny. Desert: yummie - enjoy.
Ate here with family. Service and food excellent. I found lighting a little dim. We try to eat at a Keg in the different cities we visit and usually have a good time.
Pleasing atmosphere, great servers, and most of all perfect food, located a bit out of the way ,lots of parking. The preparation of the food and the attention to detail were amazing, we had two children in our party and they were kept busy all during the meal by snacks and colouring which made the outing even more enjoyable for... more
We were very impressed with this restaurant! My wife had crab and I had steak and crab. Both meals were excellent! The young waiter that served us did a great job! Daniel was his name. The timing of the various courses was done in a very professional manner. We were not rushed at all.The manager visited our table and spent a... more
We visited The Keg on Friday evening .Big line up 40 min wait so we went into the bar for a drink .
We where lucky enough to find a table in a nice corner by the window. Ordered hors d'oeuvres and decided to stay there for our meal. Excellent meal and service as usual. The restaurant is a little...

Went to the Keg over by Whyte last night, 2 couples all of us about 50 years old, were told half hour wait for the bar area, longer for the dining room. we waited 90 min in the bar and finally got a seat, while we were in the Bar the guys had 2 Beers each, and the girls had... more
Food here is amazing. Steak is delicious, superb! The atmosphere is great. Good place to have a nice food and hang out with your friends!
Just not what it used to be, overpriced and service really gone downhill. Sorry, but things are only average but prices sure are outragous.
Service was not good, actually poor. Food was pretty good, but prices have gone out of control. Very noisy and not up to standards. Going down fast
Seriously, the steak was awesome. Had the sirloin tip - cheapest on menu but you wouldn't have known it. Good service, nice atmosphere. One of the better Kegs, as sometimes they tend to be dark or spaced out.
I love the Keg. This location in particular I am quite fond of. Yes, the service at times can be very slow, but this is a popular eatery and that is to be expected. The food and service is always consistent and keeps us coming back!
This is a great restaurant as are all keg restaurants. The location is very easy accessible on the west side of Edmonton.
This Keg at South Common Edmonton is always soooo busy but they never fail. Food, wine, and atmosphere are great and love the location.
When ever we have gone to the Keg, the service by the friendly management and staff has been exceptional. If there has been any problems with the meal, the managers are right there to correct the problems and make everything perfect. Kudos to all the managers and staff and keep up the good work.
The food is great and the drinks are good. The atmosphere is very nice and formal yet relaxed. perfect for occasions and a night out.
4 for supper and nothing to complain about. Our steaks were melt in your mouth delicious, and portion sizes were perfect. Little pricey but has always been. Billy Miner pie and creme brulee are excellent desserts. Long wait times of course on the weekend but well worth it.
My family loved our Keg dinner last week, we had wonderful and tasty food, great service, and a very comfortable experience! I think we'll be returning again very soon!
we've been here many times, we have always had a good experience, from the staff to the food, atmosphere it's always been excellent.
Ordered the prine rim and it was supposed to be mediem, it was blue rare. Took about 45 minutes for us to get seated and we were there at 4:45pm. Reservations would have been a good idea I guess.
We loved the table because it is not always easy to get a table for eight. We sat right in front of the fireplace. That would seem crowded in a fullrestaurant but it wasn't. They served the food at a relaxed pace and catered to all our needs. It was very well managed as well. I would definately go back... more
food was very good service was exceptional. Wine we fine. A bit on the expensive side. We had reservations - very good idea.
Service was very, very slow, we had a wait of 20 min. and they just opened and it was empty! Our meals took for ever to make, our steaks and ribs were fatty and chewy absolutely disgusting I would not recommend it.
I tried Grilled Top Sirloin steak (medium and juicy), it was fantastic. good french white wine.
cosy and professional service.
just they don't have free parking but you can park cross the street (public parking) just you need pay $3 per evening.
Good location close to Whyte Avenue. Food was great and service was excellent as I've come to expect from the Keg.
We go often. Always excellent food and great service. If you wish to split a large steak with your wife, they bring 2 plates each with a potato and veggies for the price of a single meal.
But the lineups are way tooooooo long. The food is good. The atmosphere is fun. The wait staff are really good.
go to the old strathcona location a few times a year as a treat...i find the steaks consistently good but a little overpriced for what you get. this last time we went on a tuesday evening around 6:00 p.m. i was surprised how many children/babies were in there. now obviously, families get to go anywhere they want (and i love... more
Good service, great food but the pricing I find VERY High and wait times are always long to get a seat. Overall though...not a bad place to visit on occassion.
I love steak, but the Keg doesn't have the best steak in the world. It is good, but for me nothing special. Price is what you would expect, but I never leave feeling like it was completely worth what I paid. I never sit in the restaurant, to many people with kids come here. Lounge is the only way for... more
I always enjoy going to the Keg for dinner. It is a great steakhouse with a large menu and very reasonable prices. Great atmosphere, great service and great food.
There aren't a lot of surprises when you go to the keg (any Keg) but quality and good service are pretty standard.
The Keg is always known for their steaks. I have never had a bad steak at the Keg. If it is not cooked properly, they take care of it. Also, the bread is great.
Had an excellent waiter, very prompt and pleasent. Steaks are always great at The Keg! It is a fun place to eat and food is very good.
Excellent place to eat with company very good meals and variety of drinks. Nice atmosphere, Must call for a reservation usually fills up early.
servus is top knotch!!! Food is spectacular!!! i totally love this restaurant!!!!!! a must go for the steak eater in every family oh and don't forget the spinich dip
The name is the only thing keeping this place alive the food is only so-so they like to give off a uppity feel that does not go with the food...I coould make this c@!p at home!
Grreat food and service as always. Had the prime rib which was delicious. Love this place and try to get there once a month at least
best steakhouse in all of edmonton and the best service for that in all of edmonton, alberta canada.
Every time I'm in Canada I look for a Keg Steakhouse. The cuts are always fine. Every location is unique and not stamped out of a cooky cutter like some of the chains in the States.
Long wait. Pricey meals. Loud. So-so service. Nothing terribly exciting to say.
I grew up at the Keg. One of my buddies was a cook and we always met just before close for a ceasar andsome food. So my memories were very positive. Until a couple years ago. My girlfriend and I tried three other Keg's and vowed not to return. I even gave away a gift card I got for Christmas.... more
The best Keg ever. Best atmosphere. Superior service. Reliable food. Best place for steak in Edmonton. And if you've had too many martinis, you can always take a walk down Whyte Ave afterward. I go here about once a month, and my favourite spot to sit is under the Sarah Mclachlan portrait. The bar is awesome too.
We enjoyed the atmosphere at this keg. Not so noisy and rushed as the NW or westend Keg.
If you like steak, this is the place to dine. Service has been better, but sometimes you have to be a little forgiving when it's very busy.
Good food and good service. It was a little pricey, but worth it if you were given a gift card. Romantic atmosphere with good service. We ate around 10:00 Friday to avoid a long wait.
The service even when busy is professional yet friendly, the food is always done right - although I always forget their Caesar salad is lacking - great ambience and food
Excellent beef: Alberta has scads, and Keg knows you want a scad with 'tater and a veggie, butter and bread, beer or wine, heavy table cloths and nappies, skilled servers, and a good heavy dessert. Steak or ribs or roast or salmon or halibut will fill you every time: steaks come in large, huge, and amazing sizes. Not cheap at... more
Consider me a regular.... good food, GREAT service, and wonderful atmosphere. Line ups a small problem however one can understand why!!
Overall a good experience. I ordered the steak & crab. The crab is smaller than what they show on TV. lol All good though.
-Great service
-Clean
-Parked in the lot across the road for around 5 dollars
-Really good deserts
I'll be back for sure!
The way we were treated, to the service and to the meal! I feel the ambiance fit in with the culture of the White Avenue (of Edmonton) experience. Its a university area of Edmonton Alberta which attracts a variety of people. Some trying to find their identity, and some, just to watch the trends. Set in one of the oldest... more
Keg Steakhouse & Bar offers these services: lounge, pub, restaurant.
Alberta is cattle country, and many folks like to chew down a nice, big steak. The Keg Steakhouse & Bar is the place to go for a large selection of beef and other specialty steaks. The restaurant is known for consistent quality and an upscale casual atmosphere. Be aware that reservations are not accepted on Fridays or Saturdays and the wait can be long. Squeeze into the bar or head down the... more
Affordable, casual, and ideal for families, this easy-going restaurant is perfect for spur-of-the-moment dining or when you want good, reliable fare. The place lacks any sort of pretense and comfortably accommodates diners young and old. The restaurant's real draw is its well-seasoned steaks, including juicy prime rib, grilled sirloin, and pepper bacon-wrapped filet mignon. The selection of... more
