Quite a cozy café. Doesn't look like much from the outside but pretty decent decor indoors, with fair pricing and some good coffee!
Their chocolate milkshake was delicious. They also have a bunch of all day breakfast specials, sandwiches, salads, and even poutine!
The café is located right next to the bus terminal so is a convenient spot to cool down in the heat of summer while waiting for a...

I love a good coffee shop! I love getting comfy in an oversized chair with my laptop and getting down to business. As an individual who can work from home often and loves to people watch chillin at a cafe is the best of both worlds.
Having recently become bored of the usual suspects...Starbucks, Williams, Mcdonalds, Coffee Culture I decided to try somewhere new.
My first impression of...

My first Canadian review and it's a well deserved 4 stars. I had ordered my Americano with a Breakfast Wrap and both were wholesome and delicious. The staff was so kind and attentive and the interior decor has a very relax and kick back kind of atmosphere.
Jamais le Canada!
I have reviewed this restaurant before but j recently visited and realized they had made numerous changes to the place. They have booths in the restaurant now, which are a really nice touch, as well as a few other pieces of new furniture. They also have screen where they display pictures of their food. Great update guys!
Awesome little cafe. The inside is pretty plain but don't be fooled because the food is great and so was the mocha that I got. the all day breakfast special is pretty large and well-priced. The mocha was only just over $1 but that's because I got the medium which is TINY. Still even if you get a properly sized large, it's still cheaper than many places. Oh yeah, there's free wifi!
A large cafe with high ceilings. Lots of seating. The decor is nice, comfortable but not cosy. Service was friendly. My BLT was delicious. My latte was good. Free wifi. Good value, $10 with tax & tip for a BLT and latte.
Halfway in between your local greasy spoon and Starbuck, Kavabean offers great breakfasts with an ambiance closer to a higher-end coffee shop. Service is quick, the seating is clean and comfortable, and the windows let in lots of light. Go for tea, coffee, light lunch or breakfast, but avoid if you're looking for something fancy or real sit-down service.
I had been here for lunch several times (about a year ago) and enjoyed it, but was very turned off by my last visit. My son's wrap had a hair in it, and when I reported it to the staff, I did not receive an apology. The woman actually said nothing! I was truly appalled by the lack of customer... more
Kavabean Commons is a great little cafe/restaurant in Downtown Kitchener. With friendly service and tasty beverages, it's a welcome treat for those times when I an in Downtown Kitchener near the Charles Street Terminal for Grand River Transit. Fans of the A. L. Van Houtte coffee will be happy to know that it is proudly served here. Normally I just get my coffee to go... but coffee isn't all... more
Perfect location, Literally endless gluten free options (the lady said she can make every item gluten free excluding only the Poutine...).
Service was pleasant, food and coffee where very good.
My spouse and I enjoyed a nice coffee and lunch at this cafe. The service was fine. The decor could have been improved. It was winter so the many windows provided a lot of cold.
This understated cafe is attached to a car repair shop, so I did not expect too much. I was more than pleasantly surprised to receive outstanding service and gluten free toast when I asked the server to hold it due to an allergy. Value for money was excellent, and there are even two 'moods' to the place on either end... more
Located across from the bus terminal in downtown Kitchener. Bright natural brick walls with high ceilings and local artwork on display.
