Playdium is an energized environment on 11 acres with 40 000 sq feet of adrenaline-fuelled, action-packed games to enjoy. Come experience a variety of arcade games, redemption games, batting cages, outdoor mini-golf, bungee trampoline, rock wall, water wars and our 1.2 km go-kart track.
In todays times video games are common in the house. But sometimes going out to play games is more fun. The playdium houses lots of games for indoor and outdoor. The best part I like however is the price for unlimited play. Even in my youth the price for unlimited play is far better then what I spent at the arcades.
This place is a dream for kids and has everything a kid would need. Arcade racing, shooting games! What a blast. Of course, I came here a long while ago with my younger brother, so this review might be a little outdated - but there's lots of parking, so don't worry about that. Once you get in, things can get a bit noisy (but what do you expect, right?) and really fun! It's literally a kid's dream!
16,347 more tickets and I'll win a giant rastafarian penguin!
Surprised to see the overall low ratings here. I can't share their sentiments - a couple of the complaints were food-related (I haven't eaten here, ever), about it being too busy (I go on weeknights), and about games breaking down (this hasn't impacted me yet).
I used to go about once a year but I visit a bit more frequently now....

Came on a Sunday afternoon for the 20 dollars for 2 hours of unlimited arcade games with the exception of go karting and the prize token games, it was fun just wish there were different options other than shooting and racing and the solitary dance and guitar hero stand! It was fun and surprinsingly mainly adults today not that many kids considering it was 3 pm i was surprised! next time i'm... more
I miss the days when arcades use to be the norm, or when I go to Japan and sit in a 15 floor arcade that's what I expect one to be. Playdium is the last "arcade" in my area and it's a wonder it's still around. Sure they get newer machines but there is an incredible lack of arcade cabinets that aren't racing or shooting. There's just no variety left here anymore.
Two hour play card is what $25?...

Mostly played the ticket/credit indoor games. Came on a Sunday afternoon and the place was pretty full - mainly kids but also some adults. Paid $30 for 200 credits to use, and game were typically 4 to 6 credits each. There are some games where one swipe is sufficient for both players, so make sure to read the labels!
For a Sunday afternoon, the lineups were reasonable. At any given point in...

Visited the batting cages and needed to use the restroom before I left. Never again! Most disgusting restroom I've ever seen. The first stall I chose didn't lock. The next had a lopsided toilet seat. Dirt and grime all over the walls and doors of all the stalls. I don't think they've ever been cleaned. I'm scared to think what their kitchens look like. Gross!
***NOTE: I only play the indoor arcade games (no ticket dispensing carnival games), so my review will be based off of those attractions.***
It's hard to give an accurate rating for this place because you can have a different experience depending on the day/time of day you decide to visit, and random uncontrollable factors occurring, like game malfunctions. I come here regularly (at least 1-2...

I've been going to Playdium many times with my friend to save up for a grand prize which is the monkey in the photo. We probably went to Playdium atleast 10 times within the past few months. We could of easily just brought the huge doll with money for a cheaper deal but winning it with points you win from playing the games is more fun and a good way to spend quality time with someone.

I usually come here from Toronto for the batting cages, I have to rent a zipcar because I don't have a car, didn't really mind the super slow line to recharge the card and the awful food, but today I had a bad surprise , the batting cages were closed, without saying anything anywhere on their website, I lost $50 for renting a car and 2 hours between going there and get back home! I tried to... more
Sucks. Just sucks.
Once upon a time this used to be a decent place to go, now it is just wall to wall idiots and their idiot kids, and everyone reeks of entitlement like as they sit back and use the games 10 times in a row, or scumbag parents hogging the machines that issue tickets. This place is just a stupid waste of money.
You can spend 6 hours at playdium and only play 3 games.

Went here mainly for the batting cages and was disappointed. The place is unmaintained and the employees looked bored and aloof. Half of the cages didn't work and the man manually filling the pitching machine with baseballs was very slow, so even if you got in a working cage, the balls may take up to even a minute to be pitched at you.
As for the actual arcade, it's okay. A decent place to...

If your looking for a family outing, date night or just something different. Playdium has it all, especially on a rainy day. Free parking, close to major highways, across from Square One so if Mom is not in the mood for games she can always shop til the kids are done.

We went to playdium as part of a birthday party and it was fantastic. The kids really enjoyed playing the games and getting prizes, the options for food during the party was really good. I would recommend this place to others who have children (and even if they don't).
Playdium is a really fun place where you can hang out with your friends and you can play games with them. When I went to Playdium, I thought that it was fun and entertaining because you get to play games and you win tickets and with those tickets you can get really cool prizes.
We visited Playdium with our grandkids, they enjoyed the activities but they didn't really have staff around to help you. You were basically responsible for your own kids which at our age was a bit hard to do.
I had a blast, drove out on a Saturday night with the gf and another couple. Bought the unlimited 2hr for $22. The games all worked and were in good condition.
Love the racing games.
I remember coming here as a kid for my brother's birthday party. It was fun back then to run around and play games. In this experience, it was still fun to run around and play games however, some of the games weren't working or extremely out-dated. At one point the "ticket eater" that takes our ticket and provides a receipt was counting BACKWARDS, and we lost about 200 tickets.
We came there...

I recently decided to visit Playdium again. This place is half dead and is continuing to die. Half the games were broken, but then of course the credit card machine wasn't! No staff cared about the broken games, and there's no deals or anything. Just expensive and completely c@!p. Drive to the Buffalo Dave & Busters for a better experience.
My girlfriend wanted to do something fun for my birthday and she took me to Playdium for my birthday, somewhere we have not been in a long time and we like to play games so why not.
The place was very clean and all the games were working so I was happy. We played a lot of redemption games, a...

A great place for a date! You can get a card with points on it that works for everything, including the batting cages, so it is very reasonable in price. I take a mark off because there is no great food there, and the bad food they serve is very expensive. It is a very fun place though, highly recommended!
Did not realize how boring all the games are. So out dated. Baseball cages seem fun but can't do it for long. Go-karting is fun. The games where you win prizes is very useless. Such a waste of money overall experience
My husband and I brought our son for a friends birthday party. First time there and wasn't sure if he would enjoy it at 6 years old. It prettty much is like a Chuckie Cheese for older kids but instead of tokens they are given a card. My son did have a good time but I think he has a... more
Im used to seeing good cheap arcades in Malls etc in USA.. But in toronto arcades are non existant.... -Playdium is ok, bit small, crowded, noisy, expensive...
If you are from USA i would say skip this place.., however if you are from Canada, you probably will like this place.
I have been to Playdium many times. It's a great place to meet up with friends to kill a few hours, and there is a lot to do - arcade games, bumper cars, go karts, batting cages and trampolines all at one place!
The boys loved it. They could share and play together despite their age differences. The eldest was 18, the youngest 12, and yet it seemed as if they all could enjoy it together.
Held our daughter's birthday party there. The adults hung out in the lounge, while the kids played. A fun time had by all
After realizing how much I enjoy playing redemption prize games in Niagara I decided to visit Playdium yesterday. I haven't been to Playdium since I was a kid so I was really looking forward to seeing what has changed since then.

Went here with some family friends that were visiting out of town with little kids. This was my first visit in about 10 yrs and it was still lots of fun. I will probably go back a lot sooner now :)
Very Nice place for kids and parents to enjoy their time during weekends.
really lot of machines and games to enjoy, just don't go late so as to enjoy long time there
This was a great place. The games are fun, however the bumper cars area is way too small. It's also best to go after kids return to school, no crowds at all. The prizes are nice as well.
I hadn't been here in almost 7 years, so we figured it was worth going again.
I was quite disappointed with the game selection: many of the games I played seven years ago are still there! The selection is clearly tired, and they obviously haven't bothered to update many other items or infrastructure.
Another issue that bothered us, which wasn't explained on their website, is their pricing...

We had a fun day out at the Playdium! We were visiting from the UK so the children loved using the batting cages. The Go karting was over priced but again the children enjoyed it! I found the video game area a bit over whelming and noisy but the children loved it!
Just came back from Playdium an hour ago and am not in a rush to go back and use the rest of our credits there. We paid for 5 laps of Go-Carts each and wish we would have saved out money. For the price (4.50 PER LAP!!) we expected an especially long track but it wasn't much longer than any... more
My kids absolutely love the games! So many different ones to try out. My husband and I really enjoy the go-karts. The kids pitch in there too! A great place for the whole family!
all kinds of video games, including simulation ones. Very busy on the weekends. The go carts and batting cage are also fun.
I would not recommend the place for a birthday party as your guests will be lost in the public and all go on there own.
The general Playdium experience has been very unpleasant. The games are limited and expensive. The most notable aspect of our trip was the extremely rude and unprofessional Go Kart workers who spewed profanities at customers. Really disappointing Go Kart experience. They need to hire better mannered people instead of foul mouthed and uncivilized individuals. Maybe it's the minimum wage.
Wide range of games for all ages. Good for birthday parties, as my 12 yr old recently went and enjoyed the variety. Indoor and outdoor activities make it a year round visit. I would suggest to look up pricing and times, day specials, as it could get expensive. Kids get very excited about obtaining a high number of tickets to... more
Love this place with the powercard only which provides unlimited 2 hour play. Pls note the card is only good for indoor play. Best to come early since some players don't leave the machine. Good place for fun for all ages. Food is so so, better go across Square one shopping mall or the restaurants beside it.
If fun friendly family competition is your cup of tea than the Playdium is the place for you and your family ( kids of all ages ) to go to.
Fun for teens, lots of video games and arcade games, even go carts. They also have miniature golf. All kids love it.
Something fun to do in an evening.
It's a nice place for fun, but only if you can afford to spend money and take nothing at the end. It's like a gambling small casino for all ages. Once you start playing, sometimes you can't stop. Unless you are out of money. You must have a certain budget to spend, otherwise it is really hard to stop. Anyway,... more

Best place to go for Birthdays and on normal occasions. I always go there with friends to hang out. I recommend this place to everyone at any age.
Noisy, loud, ear-splitting. Nowhere to run and hide if you've been dragged there screaming and kicking. Fine for kids, I suppose, but I don't like the place.
My 8 year old had a PD day so we planned a weekend away. One of our stops was Playdium for some entertainment. Fun venue to spend an afternoon with the family. However, it is a little outdated..could use a renovation in the near future for sure.

Went with a few work friends looking to burn a few hours. We are all adults and were looking at just playing a few games. The games seem dated and not in good shape. I was struggling to find games to play that a) I was interested in and then b) worked properly. I'm guessing that Playdium isn't designed around my age group, but still...I love arcades. Perhaps its just the nostalgia taking over, since I...

From the video arcade to the go cart track to the water balloon lob game the place is a great day out. Had a blast and would go again.
Myself and a co-worker went here (both in our late 20s) for a couple hours one evening, just to get out of the hotel. We enjoyed it to kill some time, but it wasn't overly exciting for us. Would be great for kids to get them together for a couple of hours.
A good place to spend few hours, but expensive. You buy or recharge your playing card with 15-35 dollars so that you can enjoy and play. There are some foods ( pizza, hot dogs, cookies), pop corn and cotton candy.
The place is good and anyone will enjoy his time, but bring money with you.

Excellent way to kill time with the kids. Not only are there video games, but there are also games that pay out tickets. Those tickets can be cashed in for prizes to take home.
Super fun for teens! Lots of arcade choices.Try to go on Wednesday nights as they have a good deal on a play-pass.
This place is chalk full of fun things to do but don't bother even trying on a weekend! There aren't too many batting cages around so I will go on a weeknight and get some swings in.

We decided to go to Playdium after the 7.30 Medieval Times show. I guess we were pretty pumped! We arrived there around 10pm.
It was a fairly last minute decision, so we didn't have time to review deals before going. Thankfully, they have several "packages" available.

The appeal of Playdium is very much subjective, depending on your age and how much you like video games. Coming here as a kid, it was mind-blowing.
