We were in Kamloops for a week to attend a large animal practicum at Thompson River University and needed a hotel that offered a kitchenette without being too expensive. After researching all the Kamloops hotels, we felt this hotel filled our needs and we were not disappointed.
We stayed here on our way through Kamloops, and the location is pretty good. There is a nice pub and restaurant within walking distance, and it is conveniently located near the highway interchanges, that will get you out of town fast in the morning. The rooms were average, and fairly clean, but the hotel is loud, and there seemed to be people 'living' in the hotel, who were not very pleasant. I... more
Poor would not go back. Dated hotel. Ok for a short night pit stop on a long drive
We were a group of 6 adults in need of a place to rest on the way to Nanaimo. The room rate was very affordable, beds were comfortable, and the room was clean. It is within walking distance of a mall with a theatre, a couple of nice restaurants, fast food, a drug store and 2 gas stations. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was good.
Hotel looks fairly decent from the outside. Rooms are kind of dingy. Overall, not too bad.
Was nice to have an outdoor pool in 33 as well as a BBQ that we could use
Comfortable room, friendly staff; breakfast room not well stocked by 8:30 a.m.
Continental breakfast was weak. Went from cheese omelets, hashbrowns and bacon/ham at a Best Western in Penticton with various fruits, fruit salad and bagels/muffins too cold cereal and toast at the Travelodge in Kamloops. :-( Same price rooms but something that Travelodge could improve upon. Otherwise accommodations were fine for an overnight stay and staff were extremely helpful and courteous... more
We were attending a bike rally. After along day riding in the rain and cold the hot tub we were counting on, to warm us all up was not working. It would have been nice to know this in advance.
The pictures don't look anything like this hotel the fridge was noisy and ran all night the bathroom sink was falling apart the pool was dirty and cold
A fridge and microwave don't make a kitchenette this is a old hotel that charges full price it's not worth 129 a night we stayed here for a week for a sports...

Since we arived rather late, we were given a room at the back. Although okay, it would have been so much nicer at the front with their wonderful view. The room was average, although well equipped with a mini-kitchen.
This place is close to SHOPPING, TRU, and the football field the BC Lions do their summer training and tryouts at. Staff Is friendly
I stayed here a month ago and it is fine. no complaints, the room was clean the large flat screen TV is very nice and the rooms facing the city give you a decent view of the city in the morning and night. Service is great, and location is pretty good. The room furniture is a little dated but You... more
There was a soccer tournament going on and kids were running down the halls and adults were very loud
Good size upgraded rooms Great location Great breakfast Only issue is thst there is no gym.
Stay was very uncomfortable because we ordered 3 suites with 2 beds in each and we were given 2 room with 2 double beds side by side, and 1 room was a suite but it only had 1 bed and a pullout couch bed, I specifically asked for 2 beds (no pull out couches) and separate rooms. After we checked in they said that tomorrow they would move us around and find what we ordered and by next day they... more
Great location in kamloops close to shopping and a short scoot downhill to downtown .. Hotel is undergoing renos in the lobby, will be nice when she's done . Travelling on buisness offers a good economical rate ... Rooms are decent and modern with a quiet motel feel ..
I booked our room in January for a two night stay in March to attend the Cowboy Festival in Kamloops. The Festival was held across the street from the Travelodge at the Convention Center. How handy is that? The check in & check out was friendly & easy. The room was comfortable & warm, clean & affordable. A nice place... more
As we are usually looking and staying in jacuzzi rooms while away from home on an overnight trip, thought we should try out the Travelodge as we had not been there yet. We were not to be totally disappointed. The girl at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean upon arrival and the whirlpool was certainly center stage. Once all our luggage was lugged up the stairs,... more
There are a number of hotels in the immediate neighborhood. This one was the best value of the bunch and it didn't disappoint. Clean, Quiet, Efficient.
Clean and comfortable, bed was very comfortable . Continental breakfast was minimal. Surcharged for second person.
I pulled into the Kamloops Travelodge after a long drive from the coast. I was exhausted and the staff at reception were great at getting me checked in and quickly sorted. I had some issues with the TV and the night manager came promptly to fix the problem and was kind enough to ask if I found the room temperature... more
Super nice room! A fabulous view! The Mall is just a minute away!
Old worn out place, wouldn't stay again. Mountain view is a straight up hill with condos above you, no view from this room. Pile of phone books outside room door, mops buckets etc, good parking and the street side of the place is nice.
We were booked into this hotel for a few days and were looking forward to enjoying the pool and hot tub. When we got there we had to walk around a large filthy ashtray stand full of butts to get to the elevator. These were present in many locations and quite unattractive to look at, not to mention filthy. The... more
The hotel room was clean and quiet. Location was easy to get to. The room was hot when we arrived but the air conditioning worked very quickly.
We booked 2 rooms and although the beds were comfortable and the continental breakfast was basic we had to jam a chair under door knob in one room because the dead bolt didn't go into door jam. Then the swing security lock was missing as well. We arrived around 6 pm and there was an empty bottle of chivas regal outside one of the rooms. We have certainly stayed on worse places. Hopefully the... more
I booked this hotel based on the 'newly renovated rooms' but arrived to find superficial renovated rooms with no room to work at the desk and c@!p every outside my door. It felt like I had just arrived at a budget motel, not a middle of the road hotel. For the price and the alternative options in the area I... more
Female travelling from Ontario to the BC coast, I stayed in many locations across the country. At first my impression was positive. The front desk was friendly and welcoming. When I got to my room on the 3rd floor, the first thing I wanted to do was use the bathroom, I lifted up the seat and there was urine all over it & inside the bowl. The front desk came up to clean it. I checked the rest of... more
Clean room, flat driveway for a hilly town. Comfortable bed, pool and hot tub. The maid let us into the hot tub a little early so we could use it before checkout. They provided rags for us to clean our bike windshields. I dropped one star because the breakfast was terrible. Bitter coffee, bad tasting oj and not a great... more
This hotel has been renovated but it's an extremely poor layout, having the sink area not part of the tub/toilet room which BTW, did not have a single towel rack. Bathrooms are a private area for a reason - sink needs to be IN the room. Room had a nice frig, large FS TV and comfortable bed but there was... more
rooms were dirty. hairs everywhere. dirty and dust on the box spring we could see on the corner of it when we sat on the bed beside it. the non smoking room smelt of smoke. It could have been aired out. the rooms were hot and muggy the ac should have been turned on. we would have liked to go in the pool but looking into the water and the bottem of the pool it was visably dirty in the morning... more
The room we were in was recently (and Hurriedly) renovated. it was clean and well stocked and all the amenities worked as they should. However, the breakfast there was TERRIBLE.
The room was great, very clean and functional. I didn't appreciate that smoking rooms were mixed into the layout and right beside non-smoking rooms. We were there on a Thursday night and there were a lot of drunken single men sitting outside, smoking and drinking more. It made it loud and uncomfortable for us and our two small kids. Overall, everything inside the room was great, everything... more
Painting walls and providing giant TV's should not be classified as a renovation. Very run down plumbing and climate control. Sink wouldn't drain at all. We had to brush our teeth in the tub. Room was either freezing or stifling.
Kamloops Mountview is definitely a place to stay. I would recommend this hotel as it is centrally located within Kamloops and it is a hotel of great quality. Service was good, breakfast was included. WIFI did work well.
We showed up in the late afternoon without a reservation and they were able to provide us with a room that we were looking for, I also forgot some clothes in the room which they sent back to me.
This hotel was ideally located for me. It was quiet and staff was very helpful. The room was clean. Minimally furnished. The continental breakfast was very limited and poorly presented. The nightly price was much higher than other places I stayed this trip.
Good budget hotel to stay in. Not luxury, but perfectly adequate if you are looking just to stay for the night when passing through.
The stay exceeded our expectations. When we arrived at the hotel we were told that there was an error made by the hotel pertaining to our reservation which was quickly remedied by the front desk clerk.
Our room was smelling smoke heavily. The air conditioning (in a 37 C Kamloop evening) was just making thing worst, as probably nor even the filter in the A/C was changes. All corridors were full of cups with cigarettes butts. All this despite the clear conditions we were requested to sign that we would not smoke in the room.
This is my second time here and really enjoyed our stay both times. Great service, cleaner and larger room (with kitchenette) than I had booked, fun in the pool and friendly gal at the front desk. Just wish we got there earlier! I highly recommend!
only booked in for one night, had a flight out early the next morning, found the desk clerk pleasant and willing to answer any questions, room was clean and comfortable as well it was was quiet, will definitely consider staying there again.
Newly updated rooms was very pleased with look of them. Very convenient from the highway. Was with in walking distance to grab a bite to eat after long day of driving.
Good location to in and out of highway, reasonable price for convenient stay overnight for transit, and considered upgraded motel.
Overall good except:1. the replacement staff at night just not helpfull at all. i asked questions and he just stared at me & no answer. I speak english.2. the hotel have mountain view, i stayed for 4 nights and got a wall view which is 4 feet from the window, but if you like to wake up late, this room is the right one, because it always dark even opening the curtain and was sunny outside.
It was apparent that this was a previously run down hotel that was in the process of being fixed up. Many things were nice, but amenities like pool & breakfast still had work to be done.
the staff was great and flexable to our needs, the pool&sauna made it easy to relax ,the rooms were very comfortable and location was outstanding any thing we needed was very close .we had a very nice stay and a great week!
We had a pleasant holiday trip to Kamloops, BC. The weather was favorable
in-spite of the high temperatures. The accommodation was comfortable and clean. We were disappointed at the missed clean-up of the bathroom wash stand top. Otherwise, we were well pleased with the accommodation. We do find the toilet too low and have some concerns of rising from the...

Close to Trans Canada but quiet. As we were given a room on the back side, I’m not sure if a room on the front side of hotel would be as quiet.
Hotel was nice. Upgraded to jacuzzi suite, which was fantastic. Minor upkeep issues. Overall an enjoyable stay
Unfortunate the hot tub did not work the second night. Night clerk was not that helpful. The next day the office staff could not have been nicer and we did get a refund.
...but we won't be staying there again. We stayed there on a spur-of-the-moment night, and were neither disappointing or thrilled, it was ok. But just ok. We transferred from a main floor room to a third floor room with no troubles, I hate being on the ground floor facing the parking lot :( The beds were hard, and I would... more
The hotel is being upgraded very nicely and it looks lovely. Unfortunately, they had somehow overbooked the hotel and we were not put in the suite we had booked (we wanted the suite with separate bedroom and a kitchenette and lounge area). We were given a very small room, but it was fine. Bed was very hard. Breakfast was very good! Staff were very friendly and helpful :)
The room was cold and the towels felt damp. The breakfast was terrible, very low quality food and over ripe fruit wouldn't touch it, rather disappointing.
Room had a stale air smell. Continental breakfast not great.
Overall, I was quite happy with my stay at this hotel. The rooms are quite large with a nice sized fridge. The toilet and shower are together with the sink outside. Very handy when trying to get ready for bed with other people in the room. The beds are much firmer than I expected, and the climate control could have... more
This Travelodge is right on the highway for easy access when you are travelling through. The rooms are clean but very tight and quite dated. Continental breakfast is cold items only - lots of tables - you have to walk outside to get to the breakfast.
In my opinion, the hotel is comfortable and the location is good.
Enhanced visit for wedding. Fifteen family members stayed and all enjoyed themselves. Staff were very accomodating and the facilties were very good. I will be staying there next visit.
Very disapointed based on the pictures on the internet. Will not be stopping here again.
Hotel recently renovated, nice spacious rooms, comfortable beds, conveniently located downtown close to all services within walking distance. Front desk service very friendly and helpful. Restaurant which is on premises is of high quality.
The Travelodge was a great find as the midway point in our extended highway travels to visit family. The combination of easy access off and back onto the highway, several restaurants nearby, and reasonable price with complimentary breakfast made it an ideal place to stay. The room showed signs of recent renovations (drywall patches in the bathroom still needed painting)... more
There had been some recent upgrades to the room (granite counters, new kitchen faucet) that were not complete. A bureau's drawers would not stay shut as the bureau needed levelling. The Murphy bed worked well and was comfortable. The included breakfast offered a wide selection of choices including fresh peaches.
No complaints. The room was great, the breakfast room was huge. Just have to get there a little earlier because it wasn't as well stocked by 9:00. I would stay there again.
Nice spacious rooms. Fridge was a little bigger than your average mini fridge. Outdoor pool was a tad chilly but felt great with the hot weather. Complimentary breakfast was pretty slim pickings if you got there on the later end.
We arrived in Kamloops late, without a reservation, and discovered that almost all of the hotels were quite booked up (note to travelers: if you don't like to wing it, recommend booking hotel in advance). We ended up at the Travelodge, which is wedged in amongst 10-15 other hotels. We were being cheap and decided to take a room that... more
We stayed here recently and when we first checked in we were put in a smoking room that had been changed into a non smoking room and had to move right away. The person at the front desk said because we booked online it was not possible to move rooms but, some how magicly she was able to do it after we complained about the room. As for the so called breakfast, it was the worst presentation we had... more

Rooms were comfortable and clean. Nice touch was the seating spaces outdoors.
Not clean. Smelled of dog. Staff unfriendly, not helpful. Air conditioning didn't work, they didn't do anything about it. SO BAD!
We went on a Holiday trip to Rockies and Banf National Park in Canada - on the way we stayed in this hotel for the night ! We had a nice accommodation in a large room with a decent breakfast the next morning ! The facilities were adequate !
The front desk staff could be a little more knowledgeable about the area... When I asked a question about where something was, I got "I'm from Vancouver"... not so helpful, but pleasant. Rooms were spacious and clean. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast which ran until 9:30... So, about 9:00 we headed down, but there was no one overseeing it... more
We stayed 3 nights, had a quiet stay with a good sleep. They give 2 packages of coffee every day. Rooms are clean and staff is courteous and friendly. They also provide a good breakfast.
Conveniently located. Food within walking distance, and decent rooms. Travelodge Canada reward points only.
We were arriving late (10pm) and had advised reception of this. On our arrival, they were all ready for us and we checked in with ease. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and included boiled eggs and fresh fruit. The only downside was that they would not credit my Wyndham rewards card with our stay, said that... more
We were on a weekend trip and had planned to stay the night in Squamish. Wished I'd booked somewhere else! The room was very dated in decor - dark dark furniture made the room feel worse. They were all very very close together - the toilet... more
We were promised a room by hotels.com that was not what was available. “An airport shuttle was key to me choosing this hotel. Breakfast was poor and very limited. Poor preparation. No napkins available. I requested napkins and was told none were available.”
Service was excellent, friendly knowledgable staff. Recieved a free upgrade to a business suite. The room had nice new furniture, a flat screen TV, internet access and a brand new bed. I will definitely stay here again! Plus, it was less than $75 before taxes.
