The fries are always amazing here...The lobster grill cheese is worth it. tasty and cheesy. Service is slow but the food is great. Steak Frites also great....steak tender and perfectly cooked.
I ate at Joey's for the first time while in Edmonton and found the place to be quite inviting with an easy to read menu. On the recommendation of a friend, I ordered the Blackened Basa. This was a fantastic meal for fish lovers! The wait staff was friendly and attentive. I will definitely go back on a return trip... more
They have a wonderful atmosphere and fantastic food to choose from. I really like both the downtown and west end locations in Edmonton. It's a comfortable place to be and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an unrushed lunch or dinner experience.
We have eaten here a number of times over the years, as our university student offspring quite likes it. We have always had consistently good service, and very decent meals. I would put it on par w/ an Earls type of restaurant. The meal, drinks options are always good, and you leave satisfied. Good steak, good lobster ravioli and good... more
Went there with our two boys (10&14) and was so impressed with their service - which has always been good but this was over the top good. After we were seated they put a tiny paper with our servers name on the table. After she had taken our drink orders she took the slip of paper and while she was... more
This restaurant is one of the place to go to have a good evening . The atmosphere is good with a mixed crowd and our service was great. The quality of food was good and tasty. Arrive very early or you may not find a table for a while .Can be noisy in the evening.
This is my fav menu in Edmonton! Other than the server being incorrect on a friends menu item everything was excellent in my books! I love Joeys food and atmophere!
Originally went there just to grab a quick bite and be gone. Service and food were exceptional. Interesting flavours
Nice up market sport bar / resturant on Jasper Ave. Jasper Ave is full of unpromising bars and resturants, however this bar look interesting and a "safe" place for a solo dinner. Great atmosphere and menu.
Just take Boston Pizza and Eastside Marios and slam them together and you have Joey Tomato. Food is not excellent but good price is ridiculous!
They spat in my food. It was terrible in every way, shape and form. I'm pretty sure that my food was on the floor at one point, too. I'd say to stay as far away from this place as humanly possible.
I like Joey Tomatoes restaurants all together - never has a bad experience at one anywhere yet. Good food, friendly staff, clean... Price is a bit high - but you are paying for the ambiance/atmosphere
First, Joey's Tomatoes is no more. They've become part of a chain of restaurants called Joey Restaurant. They serve contemporary food in a casual fine dining atmosphere. Tonight was the third time I came as a customer in a couple months. Each time I found the food to be delicious, well presented and well prepared. The only problem was the... more
It's been a while since I stopped into this Joey's, so tonight a friend and I decided to stop in for a quick look. We were greeted by the hostess and told that last call was 12:45am (It was 12:30am at this time). As room was still full, we figured one drink at the bar before continuing on our way... more
i love their tuna tacos and calamari under the appetizers, drinks are good but long waits (just like every restaurant in edmonton)
Okay I use to like this place but last week when I went here with friends I am not likely to go back. I was annoyed that the girls all wear the tiniest black dresses and the fact it took so long to even get a drink after we were seated. Food was good though.
I often see people here on the patio, especially on a Friday afternoon, enjoy a beverage and looking cool. The Friday I arrived, it was close to 1:30 and the patio was full but I prefer to eat inside in the dining room. Since I hadn't been here for years, I wasn't sure of the food quality. There's great variety... more
Waited 35 mins for a seat on a Friday night. They have red wine for sampling while you wait. The hostess gave us about half ounce each to sample (dah!). The lobster ravoli was terrible ($19). The caesar slad with grilled chicken looks not bad (did not order that). Burger was so-so. Should have gone to the South side Joey's... more
They asigned us first to a table by the window (nice), but just as we started getting our files out. (a working lunch), the hostess moved us to a less desireable location on the second level. This was in a virtually empty restaurant well ahead of lunch rush. Poor start.
Waitress was young, naive, did not speak well or professionally,...

Atmosphere, the food was wonderful and service was great!
Not their fault we held meeting here. Din was tough to deal with, made me look like I was deaf. Food was the usual fair good, served in good time.
After being turned away from Earls due to a lack of servers, we had a delightful experience at the restaurant they recommended - Joey Tomatoes! Thank you for feeding 6 starving travellers and not making us feel like we were inconveniencing you! We are new to your chain and will be avid customers in the future! No more being treated... more
We love this place. Their wine list is awesome, one of the better restaurant wine lists. The atmosphere and decor is very urban and modern.
Their lobster quesadilla and sherry mushroom soup are my absolute favourite.
~~
I have only managed to get a table there once. Twice we tried to go and theyve told us there are no tables even though we can clearly see empty tables and there was only one couple waiting. No one wants to wait two hours for a table and then have to spend another two hours there waiting for the waiter to show up with drinks food bill etc. Our waitress took about 20 minutes to bring me an iced... more
I have loved Joeys for years and I am always begging my boyfriend to take me there he hates it. However after my last experience I dont think that Ill be going back for a very long time. The service was absolutely horrendous First of all we didnt receive drinks until 20 min after we had sat down and then we asked for rice instead of the really greasy deep fried mashed potatoes that came with... more
Didn't find much appealing on their menu
Ok restaurant but the service...bimboland! Anyway the food is good but unimaginative and ultimately unimpressive.
Always satisfied... Great Atmosphere.
Amazing frozen drinks and great shoestring fries, for a trendy dinner with friends this is a great venue
Calamari is to DIE FOR!!! i <3 it
I'd like to thank them for their hiring practices...food average
Good food, but there is almost always a lineup to get in.
Nice atmosphere, great for an afternoon retreat.
i guess you pay for the atmosphere??
I like the food and the scenery
Average food. Great drinks.
Fun, classy atmosphere, quality, interesting food, lots of young, dressy pre-bar folk
Joeys has picked up there game the last couple years..kudos to actually cooking in your kitchens.
this joey's is substantially better service-wise than sherwood park's.
Great food and really nice inside.
Best looking waiters/waitresses ever!! yummy food too :)
Good Food, Great Service, PROMPT
Used to love it - but the service seems to be on a sliding scale recently.
Great food. Upon recommendation by the waitress I had a sandwich made into a wrap. It was delicious.
Parking is really bad. Nothing about the menu stands out. Its the average meal for the average price.
Menu is limited but inventive and well presented. Staff are very professional.
A liitle to "Corporate" for my likings. The open kitchen concept is great, food is definetly tasty, but if there are 8!!! cooks on that line and I wait 45 min. for a steak and send it back twice?
Joey Tomatoes Kitchen is a Italian restaurant where most Menuism users came for a romantic date, paid between $25 and $50, and tipped more than 18%.
