Love the atmosphere, cool vibe. Fab drinks and delish veggie breakfast sandwich.
Always a hit!
I enjoy the relaxed feel and "homey" nature of this coffee shop. Good drinks, snacks, and strong community involvement make it a winner.
Great drink, Open mic for poetry every month I think.
Always had great service at java express. They are nominated for a customer service award which is deserving
Had a fantastic latte here with a smiling and engaging server. They have yummy Nanaimo bars here too (must try if you are not familiar...sweet though). Scone was on the dry side. Open Sunday which not much is in MJ!
We stopped here after the tunnels tour. Wicked lunch. Had the curry wrap and bagel pizzas. So good!! Very homemade.
Great, fast professional service, (Thanks Morgan!) great coffee! Always a treat to try a new coffee option! Tea is also available.
From the outside, Java Express doesn't look that big, but upon entering the space is expansive with very high ceilings, large windows and lots of comfortable seating options.
I had a medium cappuccino and a chicken sandwich - took a window seat and enjoyed the view.
The coffee was excellent (perfect roast for my liking) and the lunch was tasty....

Loved the comfy couches, loved the tranquility. Good coffee and I had very nice Biscotti. On another occasion a salad. Salad was particularly fresh and unique - a delightful experience in all. If you are not up for the tunnels, this is a great place to wait for the rest.
Very comfortable and homey place to hang out. Love the couches, latte (with soy milk) and snacks were first rate. The mellow Canadian music was a nice touch.
We ( family with teenager) really enjoyed the coffee, ambience, music and super fresh and delish sandwiches .
Super homey place to hang out for the afternoon. It's also right across from the Tunnels of Moose Jaw so good idea to grab a snack/lunch/drink here before or after the tour. Nice variety of seating - small tables with chairs, sofas with coffee tables, and also a raised bar along the window.
I like how there are items you can browse. There's also an upstairs if you wanna check out more...

Java is OK. I like working in there because it is always quiet. Staff is young and friendly. The live music they bring in is generally good. Drinks are overpriced though - I prefer Coffee Encounters down the street.
We really enjoyed stopping into this little café for a quick cup of joe. They had some tasty sounding selections of sandwiches and lunch fair (quite a few vegetarian choices) and a few dessert items- nothing fancy. My London fog was awesome, but my sisters Americano was too strong. However, the best part about the place is the relaxed atmosphere,... more
Great place to lounge. Couches and bright colours make this an enjoyable place to have coffee with a friend. Live music on weekends is great.
I'm a die hard Starbucks fan, I admit it. But when I was working in Moose Jaw for two weeks in December, Java Express was just steps away for me. This place lives up to its reputation as the best place for coffee in Moose Jaw.
Lovely atmosphere, great staff, customize drinks, and sugar free flavour syrups (which I love!)...

The sandwiches taste like the bread from safeway and cosco hard like cement. Coffee very expensive and very loud place. It suppose to be a coffee shop not a disco place. If you want a good sandwich go to Subway it is always fresh.
I like going to Java Express for their fresh food. The sandwiches & salads are very tasty, and not your everyday run-of-the-mill roast beef or egg salad variety. As someone who does generally eat meat, I found the staff very helpful and accommodating in offering different options.
The atmosphere was relaxing. There are big comfy sofas & chairs as well...

Great atmosphere, but my coffee/mocha wasn't the best yet it was drinkable. Great place to wait for a Tunnels of Moose Jaw tour.
Pretty much best in town. Average prices but good lattes. Their sandwiches are pretty good too. In town and want a place to sit and enjoy a quick lunch and coffee? Chek this place out.
Maybe I'm having a totally different experience than the other poster... there is plenty of room for me to lounge and chat. The kitch isn't too much... and it adds to the atmosphere. That and I'm having a dessert here, so it's probably a different experience. The Saskatoon Berry pie is neither stale and was probably made with care. At least I know the Prairie Berry Smoothie tastes great. I'm... more
Atmosphere is trendy to the point of trying too hard. Local kitsch for sale everywhere, ridiculously overpriced. Nice place to lounge and chat. Would be nicer if there was more room to lounge and chat and less room for kitsch.
Food is ridiculously overpriced, but it does come with your choice of either being stale or slowly made. Unfortunately neither options improve the flavour.
Coffee isn't...
