Great comfort food

We really like the quality of the food and it is prepared nice and hot with a nice atmosphere

Alex Doubrava and Mike Von Lokvenz’s 29-year-old Jagerhof is an institution on the North Shore. It was probably the first time to me to eat German food. I didn't even know what Schnitzel was. Asking my co-workers, it seems similar to Japanese cutlet. I ordered Nierstein Schnitzel, which is served shrimp with cream sauce. Ow, it was so good! What a comfort food. I would go again. (Visited and reviewed on Nov 2009)

Short review based on comparison to The Old Bavaria Haus. Schnitzels were a bit too oily. Sauces were less rich in flavor. And the atmosphere was not as warm
