Friendly staff - Convenient location

Had a very pleasant stay and enjoyed the neighborhood. The service was good. Our housekeeper Virginia was very friendly and kept our room in a tip top shape. The restaurant was good, the menu was satisfactory, Guler and Ravi were excellent, the others were also very friendly and courteous but sometimes slow. This is a nice trip. Their breakfast delicious is nice and the room I lived in is excellent.

This hotel is well situated on Bloor street, with prompt valet service if you are driving. The rooms are spacious, spotless and well laid out. Personal care is obviously their mandate. Good neighborhood. Convenient to museums ,shopping, restaurants. Helpful concierge and staff. Unfortunately, our room was exposed to some rumbling and low but steady noise from the underground, despite the fact that it was on the 6th floor. Wonderful, wonderful hotel in a perfect location

The service and comfort of this hotel is exceptional, and the location absolutely perfect. It is not a crowded neighborhood, especially compared to being on the waterfront near the lake. There are a couple of great museums literally "next door" and wonderful restaurants in residential neighborhoods, also nearby. All amenities in the hotel or nearby make it the ideal place to stay.

Great Hotel for Exploring Central Toronto.

Great location opposite The ROM with excellent transport links (Metro) nearby. There is a self parking option behind the hotel should you wish to avoid valet parking. For the price of the hotel, it is definitely not worth it. While a convenient location, the hotel has definitely seen better days. You can tell it was probably high-end maybe 15-20 years ago, but everything feels badly outdated, and old. Needs desperate refurbishment.

I ordered on Expedia one month early for two-bed room, however, I only got an one king-bed room in the end. The hotel added a small bed for compensation, however, the staff in the hotel did not help to move the bed into room. All the work is done by customers. Moreover, the wifi speed in the room is too slow to open a webpage.

Hotel needs major renovation

The hotel apparently has not been updated for god knows how many years. The bathroom vanity has no shelves or drawers. Tiles are worn out. The shower area is small like a coffin. Hotel lobby is dark, even the room doors resembles 1950's old-styled door. The staff, though, are very courteous. It resembles nothing like other Inter-continental Hotels in Asia or middle east.

Overnight getaway

The location was great. It was right across the street from the ROM and walking distance to Yorkville shops and restaurants. There were no signs for parking but we found it in one trip around the block. The concierge service was extremely helpful. The room was fine and clean. the view of the roof left something to be desired. All in all it was a good value.

The accomodation is right across the U of T music conservatory. It is also right by the famour Bloor Street shopping area known for boutique shops. It is also right by the ROM (Royal Ontario Museum) and the St. George subway station.

I was searching frantically for a hotel that also accepted pets due to a blackout from the ice storm, and ended up staying here. After staying at the Marriot further down on Bloor St. many times... This Holiday Inn was like a bad Hostel!!! For our second Toronto trip we chose to stay in upscale Yorkville. The hotel was terrific and the location could not have been more convenient. The ROM is directly accross the street and may excellent cafes are in the upscale neighborhood behind the hotel.

Around the corner are two other major hotels, so they should cooperate to provide a less expensive alternative to and from the airport.”
