Although we were delayed getting to the restaurant (and had called ahead), we were still offered our choice of "prime" tables. This was appreciated as we were able to get a table that offered some privacy for quiet conversation. The meal was well paced, our server attentive but not hovering and the portion sizes were just perfect. I would have... more
If you've seen my last reviews for my recent trip to the area, (Black Walnut Manor, Crush On Tours, and Good Earth), this restaurant was a beautiful addition to an already amazing weekend!
We booked this restaurant through our package with Black Walnut Manor and we are so glad we did!
The restaurant had a nice ambiance to it, and...

Year after Year, Inn on the Twenty Restaurant gets rated as No. 1 in Canada by Trip Advisor, for its excellent quality of meals, brunch, lunch and dinner. Last week we went to celebrate two early birthdays, including mine, and had lunch overlooking the lush green Twenty Valley. Service was, as always. the best (Jeff was very friendly and caring).... more
Stopped in for some wine and some appetizers. Was great.
We also attended a wedding reception in the evening and we both said the meal was amazing!
We went here for dinner on a Sunday evening - the restaurant was not very busy. We looked forward to a relaxed dinner. For fun we ordered two of their inventive cocktails (both delicious - especially the one made with St. Germain). Our cocktails arrived and we had barely had two sips when our appetizers arrived and the wine we... more
We went on a wine tour as a business group (about 30+ people), so we had a pared down menu. The food was excellent, the service attentive. I had the asparagus and pear soup which was delicious. Next came Ontario trout. The trout was cooked so that it was still moist and delicious. Usually I'm not a fan of cilantro,... more
My husband and I were married at Cave Spring/On the Twenty four years ago and return occasionally for a romantic dinner. This weekend we had the chance to dine there with two other couples as part of a wine tour weekend. I was uncertain what to expect with a pre-paid for dinner as we had only experienced the a la... more
We had a group of 20 for dinner. Setting was great and wine and beer were cold but so was the soup. Chicken was overpriced and undercooked. Children's menu was fine.
On a Wednesday, maybe the chef is not there!but the menu is his/her responsibility so can't blame the sous chef nor the service. Our seared foie gras was delicious ,well prepared and presented befitting our two gourmet palates..then came the main course which totally ruined our experience. My partner's duck breast ordered medium rare not raw...and my chicken at $31... more
We managed to secure an early dinner reservation at this well know restaurant in the Niagara district of Ontario. We were delighted with the variety of fresh product, the setting and excellent service. We chose the lamb and duck as of their recommendation and were impressed.
We will return.
We went for dinner last week and were rather disappointed. We have not been there for few years and were hoping for great dinner. It was not bad, but not up to standard for this 5 star restaurant.
We sat by the window, but it was dirty with dead flies and Mosquitos. Looks like it needed good vacuum. Restaurant was...

The meal was very good especially the beet salad! The service was excellent and the dining room was very nice with a great view and sunset.
On the Twenty was our family go to restaurant for birthday, anniversary, graduation and all kinds of lif'e's celebrations. Sadly this tradition has now come to an end. We had the unfortunate experience of being disappointed and at a great expense. The potato soup was watery and tasted of peelings. The parma was hard to find. I mentioned this to our... more
Today I had a wonderful dinner at the "on the twenty" restaurant! Started off with a shaved asparagus salad paired with cave springs rose. Wonderful meal, It was decorated with watermelon radish which was wonderful!
I then followed it with chicken breast ... I forgot the proper name ... Paired with a Gewürztraminer. What a wonderful combo.
Then for dessert...

We have been going to the Inn on the Twenty for a number of years and once again everything was excellent. From the moment we arrived we were treated exceptionally well. Our host found us a great table where we both could look over the twenty valley. Our waitress was wonderful as well, with the right balance of attentiveness and... more
My wife and I always make a point of eating here when we are in the area. The food and service are excellent. Our favorite item is the ice wine ice cream - (not ice cream with ice wine poured over it), which they occasionally make themselves. It isn't always available, but if it is, it can't be beat.
We have been to Jordan, Ontario quite a few times and always enjoyed the village and the numerous wineries in the area. This time we went there for our anniversary and stayed in the Inn and had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. The dinner was excellent. We both had the featured item of Alberta tenderloin. It was cooked to... more
For a delightful excursion, Jordan Village, tucked on the edge of the Twenty Mile Creek, is a worthwhile visit. My husband and I got married here May 3rd. We are so happy we chose this venue, from the view, to the service to the food, hotel room, it was an amazing experience and people are still tellinig us what a wonderful time they had at our wedding.
We highly recommend this place, the servers, coordinators, everyone went above and...

For standard fare, you should go to their other place, The Jordan House. The Inn on the Twenty restaurant has very good food with a high end appeal. No grilled cheese here. Had mainly good meals and when one was not up to their standard they took care of it right away. Breakfast is simple but you should not walk... more
We have been to The Inn on several occasions. Recently we took our family for Mother's Day and enjoyed both the meal and the service.
However today I took my sister to celebrate her Birthday and I was embarrassed both with the cleanliness and the quality of the food.
Upon arrival we were seated by the window which provides an...

We have been by Jordan many times, but thank goodness we decided to take a drive through this wonderful town. This quaint restaurant offers amazing food, at very good prices. It was lunch that we enjoyed on this visit. The lunch menu was quite varied, with some specials available. I ordered the burger with the hand cut fries, while my... more
We are local residents and stopped in for breakfast. The quality of everything was perfect. I have been a guest in group dinner functions but the breakfast service and quality if food will be difficult to surpass!
Special birthday lunch - wonderful attentive service with delicious food. We enjoyed the $29 three course wine luncheon which was excellent. Although the ravine was not yet in bud and the daffodils were struggling to make an appearance, the atmosphere and view were still lovely - bring on summer. Management thanked us for coming - very classy and approachable.....even purchased... more
On The Twenty continues to be a great restaurant. We had a wonderful Easter Sunday dinner. The three course dinner was delicious and a great value. As always, the service was top notch too. If you are in wine country, definitely make a reservation here for lunch or dinner.
Beautiful restaurant in Jordan, Ontario. Went there today for Easter Sunday dinner. DIning room is spacious and lovely (faux finishing on walls etc. is beautifully done). All French style window/doors from floor to ceiling on one side of dining area. Even though there's no patio on this side of the dining room, the view is really beautiful! Atmosphere is perfect... more
We recently went for our birthday dinner. My husband and I were born six days apart. The meal was fantastic and the service was outstanding. We will definitely go back.
Delicious, attentive service and such a pretty setting! We just went for dessert after buying wine next door and it was a great idea!
Went with friends - we each ordered something different and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Lots of great choices, and the 3-course meal that comes with the hotels dinner/b&b rate includes everything on the menu - there are not 'upcharges' for ordering the specials. The service was super friendly, as well.
We are in town for the Winter wine festival and were too late to get a room at the Inn on the Twenty but decided the next best thing would be to at least have a dinner there. This restaurant is very welcoming and warm in ambiance. The first thing I thought was I wish I could turn this place... more
When you stay at the Inn on the Twenty, you get to eat breakfast in a really beautiful restaurant. The windows overlook the valley. The food is amazing. We had the good fortune to be staying for 9 days and had room 12 which was spacious bright with a view onto the old property next door.
Unusually the accommodation is mainly on the first floor. The building restored from its original use accomodates a range of shops below and hotel above. Over the road is the restaurant and...

Inn on the Twenty sits atop the Niagara Escarpment with stunning views. The food was well-presented, beautifully prepared and served by professional friendly wait staff. We have returned to this restaurant and are never ever disappointed. For good reason, our son proposed to his wife here seven years ago. As always the food is outstanding. We begin with salads: mine is a deconstructed beet salad with candied nuts, blue cheese and combined oils. Each mouthful is so fresh that I want this taste to go... more
Our meals were beautifully prepared and quite tasty. The wine list could be a bit more expansive. It consists mainly of Cave Springs wines and a small number of other Niagara wines. Alternatively, there are foreign wines but they are considerably more expensive. The service was excellent and the server was quite helpful with the wine selection.
Our son just got married, and they had the reception in the Vintner's Cellar at the Inn on the Twenty. It was not only a perfect place for a small wedding gathering, but the staff were so wonderful. They helped our son & daughter-in-law plan the entire event. The food and wine were outstanding, as was the service...again, just perfect!
Food is fresh, service was wonderful attentive and friendly. Decor relaxing and beautiful. Food was decadent! Have returned over and over!
What a way to enjoy a Thanksgiving lunch. First of all our server (Sue) was engaging and very attentive without being over bearing. We were staying in Toronto and had kept in touch with a lovely couple we had met on an Alaskan cruise a few weeks before and they invited us out to their place at Aldershot. We went there by train then they drove us to Jordan to have dinner at the Inn On The Twenty Restaurant. It was a nice... more
We have been patrons of this restaurant / inn since it opened some 20 years ago and will continue to dine here regardless. Unfortunately the food has faded to merely average even with the new menu. We also had breakfast which is offered...

If you are looking for a nice restaurant, with good food & wine in the Jordan area, this is the place for you to go! Dined here during our stay at Inn on the Twenty hotel and opted for the more formal choice of the Restaurant across the street rather than the pub down the road. A first-rate meal (as part of a package with the Black Walnut Manor-Vineland). Tasty corn bread in the bread plate, some of the most tender duck ever and really great seasonal fruit dessert. Comfortable but leegant restuarant with glorious view over the valley. Top-notch staff in the fornt of the house and obviously in the kitchen!
12 of our family including 2 children, had lunch here last Saturday, 07 Sept. It was not rushed, great service and being that 2 of us are celiac and 1 is celiac as well as lactose intolerant, the menu was altered to meet our needs.
3 of us had the lunch special of trout. Beautiful presentation.
