Sublime style meets divine comfort at Inn At The Quay, the first and only intimate luxe hotel on the charming Fraser River boardwalk in New Westminster, British Columbia
Some of the furniture were updated but not all, carpet in room and hall way were stained and worn. Air conditioner was noisy when running. On the other hand, lobby was nice and clean but that didn't help on my comfort. Parking was private garage with $10 surcharge per day. Nice location next to river for scenery but area turned dead after dark. If plan to stay at this inn, make sure to request... more
Great restaurant on site, great food good service. Staff were very helpful when I could not find how to turn off the AC, they came and did it for us. The lounge area was bright and cheerful. I also liked there small gym room, which I used everyday while we were there. Will go back if and when we need a hotel in the area.
Hotel sits over the fraser river in new west... Everything a short walk away.. Next door restuarants shopping.. Across the bridge the mall shopping etc.. Close drive to vancouver... Great choice away from busy vancouver... Skytrain across the bridge to everywhere.. Had a great stay.. Hotel is beautiful and the staff helpful and rooms are plush... Would stay here again..
This hotel was modern, comfortable and for the most part the rooms were clean. The view from our room was gorgeous. We had three meals at the hotel's surrounding restaurants and all of them were great.
Excellent hotel for the price! Stayed three days early June and found staff very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean, comfortable bed and outstanding view of the Fraser River!
Had a great time, Boardwalk is a great place to walk, convenient to restaurants, sky train, recommend this hotel
We enjoyed our room on the 7th floor looking out at the water and watching the boats, etc. also there was a liveliness to the area as people are out enjoying the boardwalk and the nearby restaurants, market, etc.
The Inn at the Quay is a great hotel. Fitness Centre is small, but adequate. Staff are very accommodating. Good amenities nearby.
Very clean, great view, convenient parking, friendly staff.
I was not at the hotel for pleasure but the hotel staff made me feel so welcomed and reassured. It is convenient for the hospital in New Westminster and had restaurants near by. My only complaint would be the train, CN train drivers need to learn to only blow their horn once after dark!
Trains go by hotel every 2 hours all night long. However that isn't the bad part, the bad part is that they blow their horn 5 times each 2 hours and it sounds like they are in the room with you. Glasses on the night table shake. The desk clerk agreed they were very noisy, but said it was too bad and refused a refund. Do not stay here if you want to sleep!
We had a family re-union to celebrate our mom's 90th birthday. This hotel was central for all to come from Alberta and Kelowna. We had a great time as we had 5 rooms all across from each other.
Room was nice and clean and we had a great view. Loved the comfy bed.
We were there for the march break w the kids. The view from the room was spectacular. It was right on the water front. The rooms themselves were on thee small side. No microwave in the room we asked for one and they brought it up no problem. Service staff were friendly and the concierge were too. The hotel had no pool. That was a down. It had a sauna hot tub and exercise room. But bc was... more
The staff was great friendly, helpful I would recommend them to people I really enjoyed it all around thanks for the great service
very nice room, clean, well appointed excellent location
We always stay at the inn at the quay everytime we come to vancouver. Wonderful staff and the rooms are amazing. The views outside are magnificent .
Nice, rooms are a bit small, but comfortable
Thought taking a different elevator from the parking lot was odd. I've seen using your room key to use for the elevator from the parking lot would be helpful. Then you wouldn't have to switch elevators.
Great location, wonderful view, close to family and restaurants
Great people wonderful view of the Fraser river and The Boat house restaurant was excellent!
Stayed way back in 1991 for my wedding night. The hotel hasnt changed a bit except for the furniture in the lobby. Room was clean and comfortable. Room service was prompt and yummy. The hallways were dark and could use an upgrade. The baseboards were dusty and the walls were marked. Otherwise a pleasant stay. I think charging hotel guests for parking is unnecessary since the lot was basically... more
close to both downtown facilities and the lovely Quay for walking. very peaceful to watch the movement of the water from the room
Check in was quick, parking in the parkade was convenient. The area around New West and the Quay isn't as vibrant as it used to be with shopping and people, but its still a nice little pocket community to stay for a night or two.
Second time staying...great location for us. helpful staff and decent amenities
I liked the hotel, it was close to the Fraser River and the Skytrain. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the rooms in the hotel didn't have a safe in the room.
I stayed for 2 nights, and I was not let down in any way. The room was beautiful, the amenities were superb, and the view was spectacular. It is close to shopping, the sky train and much more. You are also right on the water, which is nice. The bed was the comfiest hotel bed I've ever slept in. Woke up to a globe and Mail outside my door. Starbucks coffee for my hotel coffeemaker. Just couldn't... more
I loved this hotel it was everything I expected when I got there. The staff was super friendly and very knowledgeable. They were there for their guest. The were able to give directions on the locations I needed to be and things to do in the area. The hotel was nice and clean. The hotel is nice, kept clean and our room had a nice view of the water and the boardwalk. Only real disappointment for me, was the in room refrigerator was too small and no freezer.
Everything about the hotel experience was easy, in that we arrived early and were able to park before the check-in time. I was attending a conference with a colleague so that was very helpful. The staff was always pleasant and accommodating.
Great Hotel and fantastic stay. Comfortable, home away from home! One elevator was down for repair work which did require a wait at times, but not too much trouble.
Friendly staff and comfortable rooms, the corridors were a little tired an generally untidy most due to a lack of cleaning. The location was ok just a little noisy with a train line within 100 mtrs mainly a cargo trains
We have stayed here once before and all was so great we chose to stay again. We will always stay there when we travel that way. The staff go out of their way to help you. It is a beautiful place to stay with the pier and all the shops. The boathouse restaurant is excellent as well. Anjelinas breakfasts are awesome. Can't say enough good things about this hotel.
Quickly check in check out can't beat the views close to transportation. Great weekend mini getaway.
We stayed here for two nights in order to attend a wedding in the area. While the décor is really not my taste, it was still a very nice place to stay. The bed was super comfortable and the duvet was cosy without getting too hot. I usually don't sleep well the first night away from home but slept a rock both nights. it was Wonderful!! The blackout curtains really did keep a lot of light out,... more
We stayed over night after a concert, hotel wasn't bad. Centrally located and easy access to everything.. WIFI was a mess, was not able to connect until we checked out.
Have not really ever spent much time in New Westminster and this hotel was a little hidden gem. Right on the River with easy access to all kinds of restaurants and shopping, everything about the hotel was a bonus.
From beginning to end we had a great stay. The hotel is well placed on the boardwalk in New Westminster and close to the metro train for accessibility into the city. Excellent staff who catered to all our needs but didn't get in the way either. We enjoyed watching a real working river from our small balcony and walking the boardwalk and neighboring shops and grocery. We experienced some train... more
Disappointed with dirty mirrors, cloudy window, stains on counter, dirty kleenex in the bathroom garbage, pleasant staff but no enthusiasm, basic stay with poor amenities, needs some renovation. Parking at night was a little scary because it is underground but open to the public with no visible security.
Excellent except for the elevators. One out of order and the other had a mind of its own and took too long.
We had to attend a wedding in Surrey and this hotel was the best option with very beautiful surroundings. There are couple of restaurants by walking distance with good seafood. our room had beautiful view and quiet. the cleanliness of hotel is acceptable. very close to subway station. we enjoyed our stay and pleased with friendly staff.
Some night are noisy if you facing the pub but in the mean time you facing the river and the board walk so if you like actions it's a place to be. Located by the train track as well wish is very annoying.
We really enjoyed our stay.Lovely room with a view. The bar next door can get noisy but we put the air conditioner on and blocked the sound. The room was very clean.I appreciated the exercise room with a view.We did get there on August 15th at 3:45 and had to wait around for our room to be ready.Other than that I would recommend this hotel.
We stayed for four nights… paid a pretty penny too only to find out we still had to pay 10 bucks a day for parking! They provided coffee and a coffee maker which was great.. however.. if you are like us and don't want to drink tap water.. then bring your own bottled water because you have to pay for... more
Excellent view of the river, really nice market and bar next door, and a nicely done river walk in front of the hotel. The room was fine, probably exactly like a lot of hotel rooms you've seen.

Would have rated this hotel a bit higher. It is in a great location with plenty of restaurants and shopping. Here's my only 'beef'.
The housekeeper, wearing gloves, made up the room then proceeded to wash the glassware in the bathroom sink! That was bad enough but she never changed gloves. Probably not the most sanitary place to wash glassware....

Get an even-numbered room.
The odd-numbered ones overlook a pub with outdoor seating. I was kept awake until 2 a.m.
The clerk was very helpful, he moved me to a nice quiet even-numbered room for the next night.
Great views of the Mighty Fraser River, clean comfy rooms and a long riverside boardwalk. All good!
Lots of parking (paid though), central location, riverside... all positives. But the Queen bed somehow seemed a bit on the smaller side though, and in general the room was quite small. OK for a one-nighter I guess.
Hotel is in a great location on the river. Rooms are nice and room doors are very heavy, great security feature, Staff was nice but not overly friendly. Beds are Serta mattresses but not very comfortable. Each room has a balcony which is relaxing to sit and watch the boats on the river. Tub floor is very slick during showers... more
I stayed here in June for a couple nights while working in Surrey. Clean, near all amenities including sky train. Customer service is great and I love the location on the river. I live on the Fraser 500kms upstream so any noises from rail (minimal) was like home.
We stayed at the hotel for two nights. July 17 & 18th. The Inn at the Quay is a well-priced accommodation in New Westminster. The Inn is well situated on the river with a wonderful view. Based on previous reviews and the price point, we were expecting a really nice hotel. It was just okay - really not worth the $180 per night price tag at all! (We had a queen quay view room.) We go to the Inn 2 or 3 times a year for a brief getaway and are never disappointed. The rooms are very attractive and spacious. I've stayed here for many years, at this specific time. Let be clear that the staff are for the most part great. But the main drawback is the location right beside the very active train yard. Stayed at Inn at the Quay recently and was very happy with the experience. Room was clean, comfortable and modern, staff were friendly and more than helpful with any queries we had in regards to directions and local attractions. We also ate breakfast at the hotels restaurant and were impressed with the size and quality- very delicious and affordable.
Nice views of the river from our king quay view room. A bit of noise from passing trains or boats but we did had the patio door open. Updated rooms, comfortable bed, spacious. Starbucks coffee in the room was a nice plus for the morning.
Would recommend and would not hesitate to stay again.
I did not have a problem with the actual room as it was clean and comfortable it was the staff that made this a very negative experience.
