We booked a luxury suite at the Inn at the Falls. This "luxury" cost $20 more than a regular room. When we arrived, we were disappointed as the room was tired with outdated decor. The bed was uncomfortable with a slope to the middle. The light switches were not near the main door or the bed.
The continental breakfast was...

Spent weekend at the Inn at the Falls. The location is excellent 1 block from downtown shops. The room was spacious but perhaps over furnished, limited space for suitcases and a cot. Overall the bedding was updated with the exception of the pillows, cheap foam piece stuffing does not constitute good sleep.
The facility needs TLC with peeling paint, overgrown gardens etc.

My husband and I spent the night at Inn at the Falls and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! There was a bit of glitch upon check-in but, to their defense, a large wedding party had just check-out late and things were a little behind. The staff was extremely apologetic, offered us each a drink to enjoy on their balcony overlooking the... more
My friend and I stayed for 2 nights in the Hammond House. It was old, but clean. Very spacious with a sitting room and separate bedroom. The Bathroom was huge! Nice continental breakfast was included with room. We enjoyed walking to the falls, and to shopping on the main street. We were in room 141 and had the front porch... more
My husband and I chose the Inn at the Falls for a getaway weekend. We stayed at the Hammond House and loved it. The room was simple and very accommodating. It had everything we needed. A great touch that we really enjoyed was their continental breakfast. It had just what you would want for breakfast. The Inn is located in... more
We took friends to the Muskoka area for the cruise out of Gravenhurst. I chose the Inn At The Falls as the place to stay while there. We stayed in rooms 118 1nd 119 of The Mews which made it easier for our friends to walk around and enjoy the scenery, the patio and the Pub.

We just returned from a stay at the Inn at the Falls. We booked the Mahaffey Suite, which is a two floor suite in the main building. We had noticed this lovely Inn on Trip Advisor but didn't book for accommodation for one reason or another and decided to just go with the flow - although we didn't stay overnight here, we did enjoy the most delicious meal with the gorgeous setting and music the just made our night and our stay in Bracebridge more enjoyable.

Rooms and hotel in general are very dated, however, this is a very old hotel. We stayed in the Mahaffy suite, which has two levels and a balcony overlooking the grounds and river. This room was nice. We ate at the onsite pub the first night and would not recommend it. We got our accommodation through wagjag so did not... more
Stayed in the Gate House. Used a Groupon Deal, very affordable that way. Private area(dead end street), not noisy at all. The room needs to be updated, work had been done on the ceiling and not a very good job. Bed was a king size but not all the comfortable. Room was clean though. Patio area out by our room... more
We have dined at Inn At The Falls many times over the years. The food was always satisfactory and reasonably priced. Service was adequate. The view from the outdoor patio eating area was exceptional. A good place for lunch on a nice summer day.
We returned a few weeks ago, hoping to have lunch once again.

The view from the Terrance where we had lunch is of the Muskoka river and Falls. Hadn't been for a few years, and I wasn't sure if it was still delicious and it was. Prices are reasonable. Stayed with 3 other girl friends June 9-11. Beautiful town, and lovely accomodation. The staff could not do enough for us. The Inn does need some updating, but lovely just the same. Many different types of acomadations here. Motel style, cottages to rooms. It doesn't look like the photos on their website! Stayed only 1 night of a planned 4 night stay. Room was clean, but wallpaper was peeling. I stuffed a paper bag in the gap between the air conditioner and the window frame to keep the mosquitos out. The volume on the tv kept cutting out. The main building smelled of... more
We stayed at "The Mews" 2 nights celebrating a birthday - we thought the room beautifully appointed, comfortable bed, nice seating area for TV watching & best of all, a balcony where we ended each night listening to the Falls. We stayed at the Inn for two days on the long weekend in May. We purchased a wag jag deal and upgraded to the Mahaffy Suite. My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful meal prepared with the freshest ingredients. The owner of the restaurant grows a lot of his own food and sources other ingredients from local farmers following organic methods.

From the first moment we walked in my husband had a bad feeling about this place.
The main building just smelled old and mouldy and I was surprised that they didn't even bother to use air fresheners so that the air didn't feel so heavy. The decor was old and very unattractive in my opinion. Their breakfast area looked better...

I just stayed at the Inn at the Falls recently with a small group of colleagues for a two day, one night meeting. The service for our meetings was terrific. My elderly parents recently visited me in the Muskoka area, and I needed a place for them to stay in Bracebridge, and we chose The Inn at the Falls. When we arrived, we asked to upgrade and were told there were no other rooms available with two beds or a pull out. That was a dissappointment. Here's a break down of the entire stay:
1) I arrived before the 7PM close (what hotel closes that early in the first place?!) and the front desk was already closed. What is the point of front desk hours if you do not follow them?

I have many good things to write about this place. They have very large and comfortable rooms, generous breakfast in a beautiful dinning room, and reasonable prices, so overall you get excellent value for money. They can though improve their tourist information knowledge, as the receptionist did not know to tell us where the falls are ... or what to... more
While this building had the 'historic' aspect to it, is right next to the downtown area and the falls, the main inn and the 'mews' where we stayed was in bad need of renovation. This Inn appears quite quaint when walking about the property. There are several houses and row rooms like a motel overlooking the falls. Musty smell throughout. Everything in the room from bed to floors to doors were creaking. Mattress was very uncomfortable. No soap in the shower area. Convenient location. Breakfast was ok.
Quaint hotel close to all attractions, dated rooms. One of our must haves was a pool and we were very disappointed that the pool was removed and boarded over. Overall value was good.
Stayed at the 'Gatehouse' which is a separate building containing approx. 6 units. Room was very spacious. Great location; 2 minute walk to the main street. Front desk staff were great. Inn on the Falls has an efficient reception staff. Rooms are of adequate size and bathroom facilities well lit and in good working order. Beds are comfortable. The hotel is located in a quiet area. Its restaurant serves good meals.
Could be a lovely place with some investment in updating the room. Double bed (we had requested a queen)with a bad mattress and a never ending squeak. Very poorly decorated and the cleanliness of the upholstry and carpet left something to be desired. Disappointing
