A marked improvement

Totally fantastic

Not bad for the price

Hotel is going through a renovation. My room was pretty nice with the reno. Hotel is located around many asian restaurants...just take a 5 min drive down hwy 7 and take a pick. There are also a few grocery stores around the hotel and the hotel room has a microwave and fridge if you wanted to stay in.

Newly Renovated, Very Nice

Stayed here for 1 night in Queen Bed room, non-smoking, on the 3rd floor.
The rooms are recently renovated and furniture are all new. Washroom is also renoved and has a nice looking glass shower enclosure, bowl sink, tiles. The shower was hot but the showerhead is lo-flow to save water which is kind of annoying.

Worst experience ever. If I can rate 0 star. I will do so. I booked a room for 3 nights stay and I couldn't come on the first night because of the flight delay. Although this isn't the worst experience that I've ever had, it's pretty close. I booked 2 rooms and when I arrived the rooms in opposite corners of the hotel, and on different floors. The hotel staff were ok, but we used the restaurant at breakfast and had a terrible experience, slow and generally poor customer service, worst I can remember having in a hotel. The rooms were clean and tidy, not so the pool.

I found I had gotten a pretty good deal. Though some have had bad experiences (see below) I feel those can be isolated incidents. I found most of the staff to be friendly and tried (more so the day staff). Not a bad deal and the food in the restaurant was reasonably priced...maybe not gourmet, but not terrible either. Good value in a decent location

Hotel was under renovation, so not in perfect shape, but the section was largely closed off, so not noticeable to everyone who goes there.Courteous staff, decent room with all of the standard items.Hotel is very convenient, right off Highway 7, and one minute away from the 404.

Booked room 2 nights in advance, stayed at the hotel for one night, found a lot of unexpected extras. Free wifi throughout hotel and free printer use in their business centre. Large room, not spectacular but good value

I stayed in a suite for the week at a very reasonable price. The room had 2 flat screen TVs and a large living area. They were still completed some renovations in the hotel, so it was not busy and very quiet. The pool, jacuzzi, sauna area is spacious and clean.

It's hard to find

We shop. And visit the Museum. The hotel had a coffee maker that doesn't work butthey changed that. Then the hair dryer doesn't work, but it wasn't fixed. The Gym was hard to use with only a few machines. Even though we have 2 adults and one child, ,they did not give us the extra towel until we asked for it. Noer was the pillow.

We booked 2 non smoking rooms and requested to have both rooms close to each other during check in. The staff said the hotel is fully booked. We ended up having 1 room on the 3rd and 1 on the 1st fl. good hotel,ordinary service

I am happy with the hotel, it is clean, comfortable,quite. However, the service is not very good, when we arrived, there is nobody on the front desk, we wait 3 minutes, a guy comes out. When I asked if there is any bus to airport, the guy simply answer "No", but we find through internet, there is a bus 8 minutes by walking away from the hotel which can take us to airport with one more transit.

Decent place

Great location, facilities are good, but interior needs a bit of touchup. Staff very friendly and compitant. Pool and spa are good, heated indoor pool very nice. resturant is ok, nothing to brag about, but taste is good and service is good with ok price.

good Infrastructure, worst service

Front office clerk seems to be a [*] who are seems to be not happy about his own job. No service mind and charge for pre-authorization for twice. What he's afraid about? Wire less is no working, I asked when it will be fixed? He replied keep trying for 20 min and it will work. But they finally fixed it the next day.

you get what you pay for

Hotel was much as I expected. Staff was cheerful and friendly, rooms were sufficient, and atmosphere was generally quiet. High-speed internet is a little slow, but beyond that, nothing much stood out. Internal laudry was a plus. Reasonable value for the cost.

Comfortable, affordable and well managed. Staff is great with the services you need for your business or personal stay.

The room had an odor from the wet carpet. That coroner of the room was not usable, should you walk there, you walk on wet carpet.

recommend for short business trip

The hotel is located close to highway 7, but very quiet location, closed to high-rise commercial buildings. The blankets are ripped and the towels stained.

for economic reason

the bath room is not clean, dirty ring around the bath tub.tiles around the wall are loosen. The faucet is hard to turn.

The Howard Johnson Hotel was very accommodating. The front desk staff were extremely helpful , they were able to assist me with directions to niagara falls, down town Toronto and any anywhere that I had requested.The hotel was clean, the room service was excellent and the food available at the restaurant at the hotel was surprisingly very tasty, especially the pork and the hamburgers.
