2 days at the Howard Johnson hotel, Edmonton

Excellent staff, extremely accommodating

Very happy with this hotel, going through renovations but staff was more than accommodating - never had any problems. Everything you need right in the hotel, or nearby. Best hotel for an excellent price.

Better than Expected

My husband and I stayed here for one night on a 15 day road trip. I was a little wary after reading mixed reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Room had recently been renovated, it was very nice, and it was quiet.

Reasonable rate

I stay in this hotel 3 to 4 day a week I couldn't find another one in the west area better rate than howardjohn. Staff is great and friendly. I hope renovation will be done for my next time of stay.

Good experience. Worth every penny

It was a very nice experience staying in this newly reno hotel. The new ower and management definitely doing their job. Not only the best rate in town but really appreicate they do their best to get me a room at 11:00 pm. And I am exciting to see the future rennovation after it is done.

The friendliest and most accommodating staff! Front desk Adrian made our stay so convenient, giving us the best service possible. Never Stay Here

This hotel is just gross. When we checked in there was pee all over the toilet from the previous guests, toilet did not flush. It smells, balconies are just plain dangerous. Worst stay of my life. It looks like it should be rented out by the hour.

After giving our reservation I checked the reviews and to say the least I was worried. Upon coming to the hotel the desk clerk was friendly not rude and well dressed the lobby looked clean and nicely decorated the room is clean nothing falling off the walls or stains on the carpet... Be careful of this place

Be warned of using a prepaid credit card for booking and as a room deposit. This place charged a $200 deposit on my husbands card and over three weeks later they hadnt released the funds back. It only takes one day to know if a guest damaged anything or took something so why after three weeks does someone have to... more

Worst hotel I've ever stayed at

If you like sleazy homeless people etc. Room are like the ones a crackhead would rent. Broken lamps venting hanging, curtains off hooks, dirty windows, sliding doors that don't lock. Front desk (Chinese Lady) extremely rude and unhelpful. You couldn't pay me to stay in this place again. Yuk Yuk

This hotel was very, very sketchy. They required a $200 deposit, which is absurd for a $79 room.
The hotel lobby was in good repair, but the elevator and hallways were dingy and dark.

All over I can say very poor service.

Staff is great except the miserable night warden who will call the police on you if talk too loud in your room.

Well first off the Front Desk staff are very nice, and very helpful. Too bad they have no idea how to fix anything or offer any kind of useful advise. Wonderful Venue - Great Price!

I attended a Province-wide bowling tournament in Edmonton, and stayed at the Howard Johnson Hotel for the weekend. The value was great, the room excellent. Although the hotel lies along Jasper Avenue, the room was very quiet at night. I will gladly book my future accommodations in Edmonton at the Howard Johnson Hotel!
