Not enough beds

we showed up at 11:30 pm after a very long day of traveling and found that one of our two rooms did not come with two beds for our 4 teenage children. Two slept in the bed while one in a roll away cot and the other on the floor. Manager had said not his fault and that to get in touch with Expedia whom we had booked with. Just stayed the one night while attending the Scottish Highland Games nearby. Room was dark, dirty and dingy. Towels were an unfortunate shade of grey - though I suspect they were supposed to be white. The 'breakfast' was a joke - unless you're a teenage boy who doesn't mind acne.

The facility is dated. The bed and bathroom were clean. Air conditioner very noisy, like an idling motor all night. Breakfast was poor. I would not rate it beyond one star if that. It was cheap.

Small and clean

We stayed one night for EOSIC event and almost all the hotels were boooked up. We did not book before the event and there were only 3 rooms left in this hotel. We did not expect much but the stay in this small hotel is pleasant, it was quiet and clean. The sound proof between room is not good though.

Nothing special. Not enough toilet paper or kleenex in the room. Room said it had queen sized beds, but they were the size of double beds. Breakfast was served only from 7-9 and no one mentioned this to us so we missed it. Lady at front desk on check in was not inviting at all. We were very disappointed with the general condition of the hotel, the room smelled damp and the hall way looked like a scene from 'Bates Hotel'. This hotel does not represent what I have come to expect from a Howard Johnson hotel. This hotel was barely adequate for an overnight stay. All the furnishings and decor are in need of a refresh. Internet was slow and intermittantly functioning.
