This is our second stay at The Lord Berri. We chose it for the price. The rooms need updating (safes in the room) and could be a little cleaner. The beds were comfortable and we had fun in the bar for Karaoke night. We're not that fussy so this hotel was just fine for us for one night.

Comfy bed at a reasonable price

We stayed only one night to catch a concert at the nearby Theatre St-Denis. Our "executive room" was small but the king bed was very comfortable and the room appeared to be very clean. A worthy consideration if you're visiting Montreal's eclectic "latin quarter". Old Montreal is also within easy walking distance.

The location was great and the room was pretty average. Our biggest two complaints are that the air conditioner was loud and bad quality, and the wifi is incredibly slow. Early check-in is impossible during busy tourist seasons. You can store your luggage for free but any guest and staff member has access to the storage room.

I stayed there for a single night, but it was a great night. the rooms were very spacious, the bathrooms were sparkling, and the beds were comfy. the only cons I have is that there is no free parking near the building, you are very lucky if you find some. This is a decent enough hotel, but the location is key. It's less than a block to the biggest metro stop in Montreal, close to the gayborhood, walking distance to jazzfest and more. Room wasn't anything special and front desk staff wasn't particularly friendly, but it was a steal for the location.

Great location near many attractions in Montreal. The rooms are generally clean but the beds and pillows are very uncomfortable. The rooms and common areas are dated. Rich experience near Old Montreal

A delight to walk all day with a few blocks of the room. We enjoyed heritage experiences, boutiques and restaurants/clubs nearby, public places near the river, we could have stayed for weeks, inviting culture, crafts, and warm people.

At the edge of the Village - adequate and service friendly but could use an update for the price. The bathroom had evidence of black mould on the grout and the AC unit was hit and miss. This place has mixed reviews so I didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised that it was pretty clean and comfortable. The rooms are old but clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was pretty great. A lot of place are walking distance and one of the major metro stops is half a block away- from that metro stop you can get anywhere easily.

We stayed here during the Montreal grand prix with a group of 40 other people, and even though the hotel was full nothing seemed like to much trouble. There was never a long wait for service at the reception desk or at breakfast.

Stayed here for a week and it is clean, the rooms are spacious and the bathroom is good but it is very dated and worn and the buildings a/c is very loud. Good location, very close to the Metro, the gay village and the old port which I would say are the 2 main touristy parts of Montreal. It's not a 3* hotel in my opinion though.

The hotel was clean, simple, and all that we needed. The price is great, and the location is fantastic. Best little hotel in Montreal

The cleanliness of your room alone is refreshing! This hotel is a block from a major subway hub (the Berri-UQAM station) and close by to many of the city's bus lines. The desk staff are pleasant and accommodating. We had a seamless check-in and check-out. Each day, our room was done perfectly, and the bathroom was spotless and restocked with shampoo and soaps. The hotel is in a good location with good access to the subway. The rooms were comfortable but since our room was facing the street it was a bit noisy. The room had refrigerator which helped with storing milk etc. Parking was a bit expensive but that seems to be normal for Montreal. Overall we do not have any complaints.

Good location. Parking is around the corner for $15 a night. Nice front desk stuff, but room was very dirty. All over the bathroom were black hair -on the floor, in the shower cabin, and even on the toilet seat! Disgusting! On over last day, I found a big black roach running in the bathroom. This is a no thrills hotel located close enough to old Montreal by CQAM. Unfortunately, the large park near the hotel had many homeless people in the park and my family did not feel safe in the evening walking around. When I went to check out after a 2 day stay , they tried to charge me $363 when I was quoted $139 with the casino package. We arrived to hear the parking garage was full and had to park in an outside lot near the hotel. The room was clean but the towels were threadbare and ragged and most badly stained. We had a room facing the street on the 7th floor and the street noise and people were very disruptive until the wee hours of the morning. Overall it is a bargain hotel in a so-so area just off St. Cahterine... plus
